Description

【0001】

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tightening band that is mounted on a boot or the like that covers a constant velocity joint for a vehicle and performs tightening. More specifically, the tightening member is fixed across both ends of a ring member formed in a ring shape, and the tightening member is fixed. The present invention relates to a tightening band capable of reducing the diameter of a band member by crushing a tightening ear formed in the band.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An example of a conventional tightening band will be described with reference to FIGS. In FIG. 9, a fastening member 102 is positioned and mounted on a metal band-shaped band member 101 formed in a ring shape, and the band member 101 is reduced in diameter by crushing a fastening ear 103 formed on the fastening member 102. An object to be tightened (eg, a boot attached to a constant velocity joint) is tightened. The band member 101 and the fastening member 102 are fixed by resistance welding at fixing portions 104 formed at both ends of the fastening member 102.
[0003]
In FIGS. 9 and 10, the band member 101 and the fastening member 102 perform positioning of the fixing portion 104, so that the locking piece 105 is attached to the band member 101 at substantially equidistant positions on both sides of the fastening ear 103. Lock holes 106 are respectively provided in the provided and corresponding tightening members 102, and by locking them, the whole is temporarily fixed in a ring shape to position the fixing portion 104. The locking piece 105 is locked with respect to the locking hole 106 such that it can move in the diameter reducing direction but cannot move in the diameter increasing direction. On the top surface 103a of the fastening ear 103, a reinforcing recess 103b is formed so as to swell downward to increase the section modulus and increase the clamping force.
[0004]
In FIG. 9, both ends of the band member 101 are formed into a forked end 107 and a tongue-shaped end 108, and when the fastening ear 103 is crushed, the tongue-shaped end 108 becomes the forked end 107. It enters along the recess 109 to eliminate the step. In FIG. 10, when the band member 101 and the fastening member 102 are fixed in a ring shape, the tongue-shaped end 108 straddles both ends of the fastening ear 103, and the tip enters the recess 109 of the forked end 107. This prevents deformation and escape of the tightened object to the tightening ear 103 side.
[0005]
Also, in FIG. 11, the fastening ear 103 sandwiches and crushes the upright surface 103c continuous on both sides of the top surface 103a with a tool (not shown), so that the top surface 103a sinks into the band member 101 side, and the tongue-shaped end portion 108 enters along the recess 109 of the forked end 107 and is reduced in diameter in a state where the step is eliminated.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
For example, when tightening a boot covering a constant velocity joint for a vehicle, when the fastening ear 103 is crushed and the band member 101 is reduced in diameter, as shown in FIG. Even if it sinks, the reinforcing concave portion 103b is not deformed, but stress concentrates on the peripheral portion of the reinforcing concave portion 103b, particularly on both sides in the width direction, and bulges upward to form the bulge portion 103d.
If the height of the fastening ears 103 after the tightening is high, when the steering is turned to cause the boot to bend to one side, the fastening ears 103 may interfere with the bellows portion of the boot. Since the boot rotates together with the shaft, the fastening ear 103 may interfere with the bellows portion, and the boot may be damaged. For this reason, there is a demand that the height of the fastening ears 103 after fastening should be reduced as much as possible while suppressing plastic deformation. However, the reinforcement of the top surface 103a with only the reinforcement concave portion 103b is insufficient, and the occurrence of the bulge 103d shown in FIG. 11 cannot be suppressed.
[0007]
In addition, the thickness of the tool sandwiching the upright surface 103c, the thickness of the bent fastening member 102, and the interference between the bent bottom surface 103e of the upstanding surface 103c and the bottom portion bulging below the reinforcing recess 103b cause the post-tightening. There is a limit in suppressing the height of the fastening ear 103. For example, in a tightening band of about φ40 mm, the height t of the tightening ear including the raised portion 103d after tightening is about t = 5.2 mm.
[0008]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and to provide a tightening band which is reinforced so as to suppress plastic deformation of a tightening ear after tightening and has a low height after tightening.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]

[0010]
In addition, a metal band-shaped band member formed in a ring shape with both ends separated, and a fastening ear that is attached to the band member straddling both ends of the band member and is formed by bending outward in a gate shape in the middle part. A metal band-shaped tightening member capable of reducing the diameter of the band member by crushing the tightening ear, wherein the tightening member bulges downward to the widthwise central portion of the top surface forming the tightening ear. And a reinforcing recess is formed, and an opening is formed on an upright surface continuous to both sides of the top surface so as to allow the bottom of the reinforcing recess to escape when the fastening ear is crushed.
[0011]
In addition, a metal band-shaped band member formed in a ring shape with both ends separated, and a fastening ear that is attached to the band member straddling both ends of the band member and is formed by bending outward in a gate shape in the middle part. A metal band-shaped tightening member capable of reducing the diameter of the band member by crushing the tightening ear, wherein the tightening member bulges downward to the widthwise central portion of the top surface forming the tightening ear. [0013]
[First embodiment]
1A and 1B are a plan view and a front view of a tightening member, FIGS. 2A and 2B are a plan view and a front view of a state of a band member, and FIGS. 3A and 3B are tightening bands. FIG. 4 is an explanatory view showing a state after the fastening ears are tightened.
First, the overall configuration of the tightening band will be described with reference to FIGS.
In FIG. 3B, reference numeral 1 denotes a band member, which is formed of a metal band (for example, stainless steel) formed in a ring shape with both ends separated. Reference numeral 2 denotes a tightening member, which is formed of a metal band (for example, a stainless steel material) which is attached across both ends of the band member 1. The fastening member 2 has a fastening ear 3 which is bent outward in a gate shape in the middle part, and is provided so that the band member 1 can be reduced in diameter by crushing the fastening ear 3.
[0014]
In FIGS. 1A, 1B and 3A, a first reinforcing concave portion 5 is formed by swelling downward at a central portion in the width direction of a top surface 4 forming a fastening ear 3 of the fastening member 2. Have been. Further, on both sides of the first reinforcing concave portion 5, a second reinforcing concave portion 6 (a concave portion whose both lateral edges are opened) including both widthwise edges of the top surface 4 at the bottom is formed.
[0015]
In the present embodiment, the second reinforcing recess 6 is formed in a trapezoidal shape in a plan view, but is preferably in another shape, for example, a rectangular shape including a rectangle. Further, it is preferable that the second reinforcing recess 6 is formed to have the same length in the longitudinal direction as the first reinforcing recess 5.
The second reinforcing recess 6 preferably has a substantially flat bottom surface and a depth equal to or smaller than the bottom surface of the first reinforcing recess 5.
Thereby, the section modulus of the top surface 4 of the fastening ear 3 can be improved and reinforcement can be achieved, and the second reinforcing recess 6 is formed to be shallower than the first reinforcing recess 5 and to have a flat bottom. Therefore, there is no hindrance when the upright surface 7 continuous on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the top surface 4 is sandwiched by a fastening tool (not shown).
[0016]
A notch 8 is formed in the fastening member 2 at a position equidistant from the upright surface 7 of the fastening ear 3. The locking pieces 9 formed by bending the one end side end portion and the other end side middle portion of the band member 1 outward are respectively locked. Further, the band member 1 is fixed (resistance welding) at a fixing portion 10 on the end side of the notch portion 8. The fastening member 3 is formed symmetrically about the center of the fastening ear 3 in the longitudinal direction in order to eliminate the directionality during assembly and improve the assemblability.
[0017]
2A and 2B, a forked end (including a fork-shaped end, a V-notch-shaped end, a U-shaped end, etc.) 11 is formed at one end of the band member 1. In the vicinity of the forked end portion 11, a locking piece 9 is formed by being cut and raised outward. Further, a tongue-shaped end portion 12 is formed on the other end side of the band member 1. The tongue-shaped end portion 12 is disposed so as to straddle the fastening ear 3, and is formed by cutting and raising the locking piece 9 in the middle. When the fastening ear 3 of the fastening member 2 is crushed, the tongue-shaped end 12 enters the forked cutout 13 of the forked end 7 to eliminate the gap between both ends of the band member 1. I have.
[0018]
As shown in FIG. 3 (b), the locking pieces 9 provided at one end on the one end side of the band member 1 and the middle part on the other end side are provided at the same distance from the fastening ears 3 of the fastening member 2. The fastening member 2 is temporarily fixed to the band member 1 in a ring shape by being locked in the notch portion 8. The locking piece 5 of the band member 1 is locked to the notch 4 of the tightening member 2 so as to allow the band member 1 to move in the diameter reducing direction and to disable the band member 1 from moving in the diameter expanding direction. In this state, the fixing portions 10 at both ends of the fastening member 2 are resistance-welded to the band member 1.
[0019]
In FIG. 4, when the fastening ears 3 are crushed by sandwiching the upstanding surfaces 7 on both sides of the fastening ears 3 with a fastening tool, the band member 1 is reduced in diameter, and the tongue-shaped end portion 12 is a forked end portion of the forked end portion 11. It goes into 13 and becomes flush. At this time, the top surface 4 of the fastening ear 3 is reinforced by increasing the section modulus by the first and second reinforcing concave portions 5 and 6, so that plastic deformation such as upward swelling is suppressed and flatness is maintained. Can be tightened.
Incidentally, it was confirmed that the height t of the top surface 4 of the tightening ear 3 after tightening can be reduced to 4.78 mm with a tightening band of φ40 mm as compared with the related art.
[0020]
[Second embodiment]
Next, a second embodiment of the tightening band will be described with reference to FIGS. The same members as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description is referred to.
5 (a) and 5 (b) are a plan view and a front view of a fastening member, FIGS. 6 (a) and 6 (b) are a plan view and a front view of a fastening band, and FIG. 7 is an illustration showing a state after fastening a fastening ear. FIGS. 8 (a) and 8 (b) are cross-sectional explanatory views showing a plastic deformation state of the first reinforcing concave portion 5 before and after tightening.
5 (a), 5 (b) and 6 (a), a first reinforcing recess 5 is formed at the center in the width direction of the top surface 4 forming the fastening ear 3 of the fastening member 2 so as to bulge downward. ing. Further, on both sides of the first reinforcing concave portion 5, second reinforcing concave portions 6 including both side edges in the width direction of the top surface 4 at the bottom are formed. However, even if this second reinforcing concave portion 6 is omitted. good.
[0021]
An opening 7a is formed in an upright surface 7 that is continuous on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the top surface 4 so that the bottom 5a of the first reinforcing recess 5 can be released when the fastening ear 3 is crushed. Specifically, when the upright surface 7 is clamped from both sides by a tightening tool and the tightening ears 3 are crushed, the top surface 4 is sunk into the band member 1 side and bulges below the first reinforcing recess 5. The bottom 5a is formed so that it can enter the opening 7a. The openings 7 a are through holes formed in the upright surfaces 7 on both sides of the top surface 4 at substantially equal positions at equal distances. The shape of the through hole may be any shape such as a round hole, an ellipse, a triangle, and a rectangle.
[0022]
In FIG. 7, when the fastening ears 3 are crushed by sandwiching the upright surfaces 7 on both sides of the fastening ears 3 with a fastening tool, the band member 1 is reduced in diameter, and the tongue-shaped end portion 12 is a bifurcated notch of the forked end portion 11. It goes into 13 and becomes flush. At this time, since the top surface 4 of the fastening ear 3 is reinforced by increasing the section modulus by the first reinforcing concave portion 5 (and the second reinforcing concave portion 6), plastic deformation such as upward swelling is suppressed. The flatness can be maintained, and the height of the fastening ears 3 can be kept low by making the bottom 5a of the first reinforcing recess 5 enter the opening 7a. FIGS. 8A and 8B show plastic deformation states of the first reinforcing recesses 5 before and after the fastening of the fastening ears 3 by sectional shapes. It can be seen that when the fastening ear 3 is crushed, the height is suppressed by the bottom 5a of the first reinforcing recess 5 entering the opening 7a of the bent upright surface 7. By the way, it was confirmed that the height t of the top surface 4 of the tightening ear 3 after tightening was 4.58 mm with the tightening band of φ40 mm, which can be further reduced as compared with the first embodiment.
[0023]
When the above-mentioned tightening band is used, the first reinforcing concave portion 5 is formed by swelling downward at the center in the width direction of the top surface 4 forming the tightening ear 3 of the tightening member 2, and both sides of the first reinforcing concave portion 5 are formed. Since the second reinforcing concave portion 6 including both side edges in the width direction of the top surface 4 at the bottom is formed at the bottom, the sectional force of the top surface 4 of the fastening ear 3 can be increased to reinforce the clamping force. When the fastening ear 3 is crushed, plastic deformation such as swelling can be suppressed and flatness can be maintained, so that the height of the fastening ear 3 can be kept low.
Further, a first reinforcing recess 5 is formed by swelling downward at the center in the width direction of the top surface 4 forming the fastening ear 3 of the fastening member 2, and an upright surface 7 continuous on both longitudinal sides of the top surface 4. If the opening 7a is formed to allow the bottom of the first reinforcing recess 5 to escape when the fastening ear 3 is crushed, the fastening ear 3 is sandwiched from both sides of the upright surface 7 and crushed. In addition, the height of the fastening ears 3 can be suppressed low by making the bottom 5a of the first reinforcing recess 5 enter the opening 7a of the bent upright surface 7.
When the first and second reinforcing recesses 5 and 6 are formed on the top surface 4 of the fastening ear 3 and the opening 7a is formed on the upright surface 7 that is continuous on both longitudinal sides of the top surface 4. Since the flatness can be maintained by increasing the section modulus of the top surface 4 and the bottom 5a of the first reinforcing recess 5 can be made to enter the opening 7a of the upright surface 7, the clamping ear 3 can be crushed. 3 can be further reduced.
[0024]
The preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described above. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. Is optional. The shape of the locking piece 5 provided on the band member 1 and the locking portion (the cutout 4 or the cutout 11) provided on the tightening member 2 is arbitrary. Either may be provided.
The shape and depth of the first and second reinforcing recesses 5 and 6 and the shape and size of the opening 7a formed in the upright surface 7 can be arbitrarily changed according to the band size. The object is not limited to the boot covering the constant velocity joint of the vehicle, but may be a rubber hose or the like. Of course, many modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the law.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
With the use of the tightening band according to the present invention, as described above, the first reinforcing concave portion is formed by swelling downward at the center in the width direction of the top surface forming the tightening ear of the tightening member. Since the second reinforcing recesses including the widthwise side edges of the top surface at the bottom are formed on both sides of the recesses, the clamping force can be reinforced by increasing the section modulus of the top surface of the fastening ears, and furthermore, the fastening can be performed. When the ears are crushed, plastic deformation such as swelling can be suppressed and the flatness can be maintained and tightened, so that the height of the tightened ears can be reduced. In addition, a first reinforcing concave portion is formed by swelling downward at the center in the width direction of the top surface forming the fastening ear of the fastening member, and the fastening ear is crushed on an upright surface continuous on both longitudinal sides of the top surface. In the case where an opening is formed to allow the bottom of the first reinforcing recess to escape, the bottom of the first reinforcing recess is bent when the fastening ears are sandwiched from both sides of the upright surface and crushed. The height of the fastening ears can be reduced by entering the opening of the raised surface.
When the first and second reinforcing recesses are formed on the top surface of the fastening ear and the opening is formed on the upright surface that is continuous on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the top surface, the section coefficient of the top surface is increased. And the flatness can be maintained, and the bottom of the first reinforcing recess can be inserted into the opening of the upright surface to crush the fastening ear, so that the height of the fastening ear after fastening can be further reduced.
