Description

【0001】

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a splash-proof structure for a portable electronic device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In portable electronic devices, power is supplied by a battery pack that is detachable from the portable electronic device body. Conventional portable electronic devices generally do not have a splash-proof structure because they are not considered for use outdoors in the rain.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, general portable electronic devices do not have a splash-proof structure, and especially those having a splash-proof structure have a structure in which the electronic device body and the battery pack are completely sealed by fastening means such as screws. However, it cannot be said that the electronic device body and the battery pack can be easily attached and detached with a simple structure.
[0004]
Further, in recent years, nickel-hydrogen batteries and the like have become widespread. However, such batteries generate hydrogen gas during charging, and it is dangerous that hydrogen gas stays inside the portable electronic device. The structure must be such that gas can be released even when the device is mounted. For this reason, the electronic device main body and the battery pack cannot be completely sealed, and none of portable electronic devices using a nickel-hydrogen battery has a splash-proof structure.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has as its object to provide a splash-proof structure of a portable electronic device, particularly a portable electronic device that satisfies a splash-proof function even when a nickel-metal hydride battery is used.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention provides a step between the combined surface and the boundary surface of any one of the electronic device body and the battery pack, and a guide rail in contact with the boundary surface. A guide groove for fitting the guide rail is formed along with a peripheral wall that matches the boundary surface, and a cutout portion is formed in a bottom wall of the peripheral wall so as to abut on a stepped lower surface of the boundary surface. It is assumed that.
[0007]
[Action]
In the state where the battery pack is mounted on the electronic device main body, water permeated from the boundary of the electronic device main body and the battery pack is prevented from entering the inside of the device by the step between the united surface and the boundary surface, the guide rail, Further, the water flowing down along the boundary surface seeps out from the notch. Further, gas generated from the battery volatilizes from the notched portion.
[0008]
【Example】
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0009]
In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a phone body of a mobile phone, which is one of portable electronic devices. In FIGS. 2 and 3, reference numeral 2 denotes a battery pack mounted on the phone body 1.
[0010]
The interface 3 of the telephone body 1 with the battery pack 2 is defined as a boundary surface 4 between the telephone body 1 and the battery pack 2 (a boundary line that appears on the surface of the portable telephone with the battery pack 2 attached to the telephone body 1). And a boundary between the united surface 3 and the boundary surface 4, a guide rail 5 is formed. The guide rail 5 is continuous over the entire length of the united surface 3 in the vertical direction, except that it has a cutout near the side (upper side) where the antenna 18 protrudes, and faces the boundary surface 4. It is a drip-proof wall.
[0011]
The guide rail 5 has a notch 7 for introducing an engagement protrusion 6 of the battery pack 2 to be described later, and an engagement groove 8 which is continuous with the notch 7 and extends in parallel with the boundary surface 4. I have.
[0012]
A guide groove 9 is formed on both sides of the battery pack 2 so that the guide rails 5 are fitted thereto. A peripheral surface of the battery pack 2 is formed by a united surface 10 which is in contact with the united surface 3 of the telephone body 1. A peripheral wall 11 having a height corresponding to the step of 3 is formed. The peripheral wall 11 coincides with the boundary surface 4, and the above-mentioned engaging projection 6 is provided on a side wall portion facing the guide groove 9, and a semicircular notch is formed on a bottom wall portion of the peripheral wall 11. 12 are formed. The notch 12 is adapted to abut on the lower surface 13 of the united surface 3. When the battery pack 2 is mounted on the telephone body 1, the notch 12 is closed by the lower surface 13. It is like.
[0013]
A seal plate 14 made of a highly elastic material such as silicon rubber, urethane rubber, plastic elastomer, butyl rubber, or the like is attached to the upper end surface of the battery pack 2, and a water-repellent fiber cloth, nonwoven fabric, or the like is provided on the bottom surface of the guide groove 9. Then, a water-repellent sheet 15 made of cloth impregnated with a water-repellent material is attached.
[0014]
Reference numeral 16 in FIG. 3 denotes an engagement claw that engages with an engagement hook (not shown) on the telephone body 1 side, and reference numeral 17 in FIG. 1 denotes an engagement between the engagement hook and the engagement claw 16. A release button for releasing.
[0015]
When the battery pack 2 of FIG. 2 is mounted on the telephone body 1 of FIG. 1, the engagement protrusion 6 is aligned with the notch 7, the telephone body 1 and the battery pack 2 are brought into close contact, and the battery pack 2 is lifted up. Slide. The engagement protrusion 6 is fitted and slid into the engagement groove 8, and the engagement claw 16 is engaged with an engagement hook (not shown), so that the battery pack 2 is fixedly combined with the telephone body 1. As described above, the notch 12 abuts on the lower surface 13 and is closed.
[0016]
Further, the seal plate 14 is interposed between the upper end surface of the battery pack 2 and the contact surface of the telephone main body 1, and between the upper surface of the guide rail 5 and the bottom surface of the guide groove 9. The water repellent sheet 15 is interposed. Thus, water penetrating from the boundary surface 4 between the telephone body 1 and the battery pack 2 is prevented from entering the inside by the seal plate 14 and the water-repellent sheet 15. Furthermore, since the water flows down along the boundary surface and oozes out from the notch 12, it does not cross the step of the united surface 3 and enter the inside.
[0017]
Since the guide rail 5 is formed continuously, the guide rail 5 functions as a drip-proof wall. In addition, although the upper part of the guide rail 5 is partially cut off, the present inventor has confirmed through experiments that the function of the guide rail 5 as a drip-proof wall is not impaired.
[0018]
When the battery pack 2 is attached to the telephone body 1 and the battery pack 2 is further charged after the rapid charging is completed, gas is generated. The generated gas is a minute gas between the lower surface 13 and the peripheral wall 11. The gas evaporates outside through the gap 12 through the gap.
[0019]
In the above embodiment, the sealing performance is complemented by providing the seal plate 14 and the water-repellent sheet 15, but it is needless to say that even if the seal plate 14 and the water-repellent sheet 15 are omitted, the seal function is provided. The guide rail 5 may be provided on the battery pack 2 side, the peripheral wall 11 and the guide groove 9 may be provided on the telephone body 1 side, and it goes without saying that the present invention can be applied to portable electronic devices other than mobile phones. .
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a splash-proof structure of a portable electronic device to which a battery pack can be attached and detached, and particularly to a splash-proof structure that allows gas to be volatilized, and a nickel-hydrogen battery pack. It exerts an excellent effect of enabling the use of.
