【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、厨房で発生する調理屑、食べ残し等の生ごみを簡便に処理して軽量化及び減量化できる家庭用に適した厨芥処理装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来のこの種の厨芥処理装置としては、たとえば、実開昭63−19192号公報及び特開平5−146773号に示されているように、生ごみを投入した回転容器をモータで回転させながらマイクロ波で乾燥処理するようにしたもの、又は特開平6−159935号公報に示されているように、生ごみを投入した回転容器をモータで回転させながらヒータによる加熱とその熱風とにより乾燥処理するようにしたもの等がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記従来の技術は、いずれも回転容器をモータで回転駆動する構造となっており、加熱源としてはマイクロ波発振器を用いるか、ヒータとファンの併用構造となっている。したがって、モータ、マイクロ波発振器、ヒータ、ファンのすべてに電源が必要であるから、設置場所が限定され、かつ、これらの部品は相当高価なものであると同時に消費電力も多いために構造の複雑化と相まって装置自体が著しく高価となるという問題点があった。また、上記従来の技術には乾燥生ごみを粉砕処理して減量化するという技術はない。
以上の問題点が厨芥処理装置の一般家庭への普及を大きく阻害している要因となっている現状である。
そこで、この発明は上記課題を解決し、家庭用に適した安価で簡便な厨芥処理装置の提供を目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するこの発明の第1の厨芥処理装置は、
生ごみを収納して攪拌乾燥処理する回転乾燥釜と、
上記回転乾燥釜内に投入された生ごみを加熱乾燥する加熱手段と、
上記回転乾燥釜をぜんまいを動力源とする機械的駆動力で回転する回転駆動手段と、
上記回転乾燥釜で乾燥処理された乾燥生ごみを人的トルクで粉砕処理する手動手段と
を備えたことを要旨とする。
上記構成を有するこの発明の第1の厨芥処理装置は、生ごみが投入された回転乾燥釜は回転駆動手段のぜんまいを動力源とする機械的駆動力で回転し、回転乾燥釜内の生ごみを上下反転して攪拌すると同時に加熱手段で加熱されて乾燥処理され軽量化される。また、上記乾燥処理された乾燥生ごみは手動粉砕手段により人的トルクで粉砕処理され減量化される。この結果、生ごみの乾燥処理と併せて乾燥生ごみの粉砕処理が簡便に行いうる安価な厨芥処理装置が提供できる。

上記課題を解決するこの発明の第2の厨芥処理装置は、
上記第1の発明の回転駆動手段による回転乾燥釜の回転を間欠回転する回転規制手段を備えたことを要旨とする。
上記構成を有するこの発明の第2の厨芥処理装置は、回転乾燥釜を回転規制手段により間欠回転させるから、攪拌で上下反転した生ごみの新しい部分の乾燥する時間がとれる。この結果、生ごみの乾燥処理が効率的に行いうる。

上記課題を解決するこの発明の第3の厨芥処理装置は、
上記第1の発明の手動粉砕手段の粉砕動作時に上記回転駆動手段のぜんまいを巻き込んで動力を蓄蔵する連動手段を備えたことを要旨とする。
上記構成を有するこの発明の第3の厨芥処理装置は、手動粉砕手段で乾燥生ごみを人的トルクによって粉砕する時に連動手段を介して回転駆動手段のぜんまいを巻き込んでその動力を蓄蔵する。この結果、その都度ぜんまいを巻き込む手間が省ける利便がある。

【発明の実施の形態】
生ごみを収納して攪拌乾燥処理する回転乾燥釜として、金属又は合成樹脂等の耐熱物質で作られた釜を用い、この釜は上面が開口され内周部には複数の攪拌羽根が備えられ、斜め上向きに回転が自由に行えるようセットされ、その回転動力源にはぜんまいを用い、その反発力を動力源とする機械的駆動力を傘歯車を介して回転乾燥釜に伝達して回転するようになし、この回転乾燥釜の下方部をガスバーナ等の加熱手段で加熱することにより、投入された生ごみを攪拌乾燥処理する。
上記回転乾燥釜で乾燥処理された乾燥生ごみを人的トルクで粉砕処理する手動粉砕手段として、一対の歯車状ローラを噛合せた圧縮粉砕ローラを用い、この圧縮粉砕ローラの一方のローラ軸に備えたハンドルを手動で回転操作することにより、圧縮粉砕ローラ上に投入された乾燥生ごみを圧縮粉砕処理する。この粉砕処理は人間の意志によりトルク調整が自由に行える人的トルクで行うため、たとえば、乾燥生ごみの軟、硬等に容易に対処できる。

また、上記回転駆動手段による回転乾燥釜の回転を間欠回転する回転規制手段として、回転乾燥釜の外周部に複数の突出部を等間隔に備え、この突出部により回転乾燥釜に規制杆を介してばね抵抗を付与することによって回転乾燥釜が間欠回転する構造として生ごみを効率的に乾燥処理する。

さらに、上記手動粉砕手段の粉砕処理動作時に上記回転駆動手段のぜんまいを巻き込んでその動力を蓄蔵する連動手段として、上記回転乾燥釜の回転駆動軸に遊転自由に備えた歯車と、上記圧縮粉砕ローラの一方のローラ軸にトルククラッチを介して備えた歯車とを噛合せ、乾燥生ごみの粉砕時にぜんまいが巻き込まれる構造としてその都度ぜんまいを巻き込む手間を省く。

そこで、厨房で発生する調理屑、食べ残し等の生ごみを乾燥粉砕処理するにあたり、先ず、回転乾燥釜内に生ごみを投入した後、ぜんまいを動力源とする機械的駆動力により回転乾燥釜を回転するとともに、ガスバーナ等の加熱源でこれを加熱して生ごみを回転乾燥釜の回転規制手段による間欠回転と相まって効率的に攪拌乾燥処理する。
次いで、上記回転乾燥釜で乾燥処理された乾燥生ごみを手動粉砕手段としての圧縮粉砕ローラ上に移し、ハンドルを手動で回転操作して圧縮粉砕ローラで乾燥生ごみを圧縮粉砕する。この圧縮粉砕ローラによる乾燥生ごみの圧縮粉砕と同時に連動手段としての歯車機構を介してぜんまいを巻き込んで次の処理動作のための動力を蓄蔵する。

以上の生ごみの乾燥粉砕処理において、回転乾燥釜を回転する動力源にぜんまいを用い、加熱手段のガスバーナの燃料ガスにカセットガスボンベを使用し、かつ、乾燥生ごみの粉砕処理には人間の意志によりトルク調整が自由に行える人的トルクを用いたので、特に、家庭用の厨芥処理装置として実用価値の高いものである。

【実施例】
以上説明したこの発明の構成、作用、実施の形態を一層明確にするために、この発明の厨芥処理装置を具体的に示した実施例について図面を参照して説明する。

図1〜図5において、1は回転乾燥釜で、上面が開口1aされ内周部には複数の攪拌羽根1bを備え、金属又は合成樹脂等の耐熱物質で作られている。この回転乾燥釜1は機体A内の上部に回転が自由に行えるよう斜め上向きに傾斜して設置するものであるが、回転乾燥釜1を機体A内の上部に脱着自由に備えて回転乾燥釜1に生ごみを投入した後、機体A内にセットし、乾燥処理終了後はこれを機外に取り出しできるようにするほか(図示せず)、図示した実施例のように回転乾燥釜1を機体A内の上部に予め設置し、回転乾燥釜1の回転に支障がないようにその開口1aを覆って設けられた固定蓋2に生ごみ投入口2aを備え、この生ごみ投入口2aから回転乾燥釜1への生ごみの投入と乾燥された生ごみの回転乾燥釜1からの取り出しができるようにしてもよい。2bは生ごみ投入口2aの蓋、3は機体Aの前面上部に設けた開口で、回転乾燥釜1のセット用口又は生ごみの出し入れ口となるもので、片開き状の蓋3aを備えている。また、4は排気用煙突で、上記固定蓋2に接続され、その排気トップ4aを機体Aの上部に突出させ、その途中には脱臭用触媒5を備えている。

6は上記回転乾燥釜1内に投入された生ごみ7を加熱乾燥する加熱手段で、この加熱手段として実施例はガスバーナを用い、ガスバーナ6を上記回転乾燥釜1の下方部に設置して燃焼させることにより回転乾燥釜1内の生ごみ7を加熱して乾燥するようにしている。なお、上記ガスバーナ6の燃料ガスとしてはカセットガスボンベを用い、後述するぜんまい8を動力源とすることと相まって屋外設置タイプの家庭用厨芥処理装置として使用できるようにする。

8はぜんまい(渦巻状のばね)を動力源とする機械的駆動力で上記回転乾燥釜1を回転する回転駆動手段で、この回転駆動手段としてのぜんまい8はその内端8aを回転駆動軸9に固定し外端8bは後述する連動手段2bの平歯車29にスリット穴8cを介してスライド可能に備えられたピン8dに固定してぜんまい8を固定内端8aに対し可動外端8bを回動することで巻き込み縮圧できるようになし(図4参照)、このぜんまい8の反発力(ばね力)を回転駆動軸9に回転力として伝え、回転駆動軸9の回転力を回転駆動軸9に固定した傘歯車10と回転乾燥釜1の回転軸11に固定した傘歯車12を介して回転乾燥釜1に伝達し、回転乾燥釜1を回転駆動軸9→、傘歯車10、12→回転軸11の経路を経てぜんまい8で所定の方向へ所定の速度で回転するようになしている。
上記回転駆動軸9には回転乾燥釜1の回転をロックするロック機構28を設けて生ごみ乾燥時はそのロックを外して回転乾燥釜1の回転を可能とし、乾燥終了後は回転乾燥釜1をロックしてその回転を阻止するようにしている。

13は乾燥生ごみを人的トルクで粉砕処理する手動粉砕手段で、一対の歯車状ローラ13a、13bを噛合せた圧縮粉砕ローラで構成され(図3参照)、一方のローラ軸14を延長して機体Aの背面に突出した軸14aにハンドル15を備え、このハンドル15を手動で所定の方向へ回転操作することにより、圧縮粉砕ローラ13の一対の歯車状ローラ13a、13bは相互に噛合っているため、これらは内方(反対方向)へ回転し、圧縮粉砕ローラ13上に投入された乾燥生ごみ17をその噛合部分で圧縮粉砕するようになっている。なお、16は機体Aの前面中程に設けた乾燥生ごみ投入口で、この投入口16から投入される乾燥生ごみ17は案内シュート18を介して上記圧縮粉砕ローラ13上に供給されるようになっている。16aは上記乾燥生ごみ投入口16を開閉する蓋で、片開き状に開閉できるように備えられている。

上記圧縮粉砕ローラ13で粉砕処理された乾燥生ごみ27は、圧縮粉砕ローラ13の下部に備えられたごみ箱19内に落下収納されるようになっている。このごみ箱19は機体Aの前面下部に設けたごみ箱出し入れ口20から出し入れできるようになっている。20aは上記ごみ箱出し入れ口20を開閉する蓋で、片開き状に開閉できるように備えられている。なお、上記ごみ箱19にごみ袋(たとえば、ポリ袋)を入れ、このごみ袋に粉砕処理された乾燥生ごみ27が落下収納されるようにすると、ごみ箱を出し入れすることなくごみ袋だけを取り替えればよいので便利である。また、上記ごみ箱設置室には、図示しないが予備のごみ箱収納部を設けるとよい。

21は上記回転駆動手段8による回転乾燥釜1の回転を間欠回転する回転規制手段で、回転乾燥釜1の外周部に複数の突出部22を等間隔に備え、この突出部22で基端を支軸23により枢支して揺動自由とした規制杆24の先端部を持上げるようになし、かつ、この規制杆24をばね25で突出部22側へ押圧した構造として、突出部22により回転乾燥釜1に規制杆24を介してばね抵抗を付与することにより回転乾燥釜1が間欠回転するようになっている(図5参照)。

26は上記手動粉砕手段13の粉砕動作時に上記回転駆動手段のぜんまいを巻き込み縮圧して動力を蓄蔵する連動手段で、上記回転乾燥釜1の回転駆動軸9に遊転自由に備えられた平歯車29を上記圧縮粉砕ローラ13の一方のローラ軸14に、一定のトルク、すなわち、ぜんまい8の巻き込み縮圧が完了して一定の負荷がかかるとクラッチが外れて空転するトルククラッチ30を介して備えられた平歯車31と噛合せてなる歯車機構からなり、上記手動粉砕手段による粉砕動作と同時に上記歯車機構を介してぜんまい8を巻き込むようになっている。

図中32は操作パネルで、機体Aの前面に設けられ、運転開始時に上記ロック機構28による回転乾燥釜1のロックを解除するロック解除ボタン32aとロックボタン32b、ガスバーナ6の点滅操作ボタン32c等を備えている。

上記構成において、運転停止時は、ぜんまい8は一杯まで巻き込み縮圧されて次の運転のために動力を蓄蔵して待機している。そこで、生ごみの乾燥処理を行う場合、機体Aの生ごみ出し入れ口3をその蓋3aを開いて開放し、調理屑、食べ残し等の生ごみを投入した回転乾燥釜1を機体A内に挿入セットして蓋3aを閉めるか、又は機体A内に予め設置されている回転乾燥釜1内に固定蓋2の生ごみ投入口2aの蓋2bを開いて調理屑、食べ残し等の生ごみ7を投入して生ごみ投入口2aの蓋2bと生ごみ出し入れ口3の3aを閉める。

その後、操作パネル32のロック解除ボタン32aと点滅操作ボタン32cを操作してロック機構28による回転乾燥釜1のロックを解き、ぜんまい8の動力を回転乾燥釜1に回転駆動軸9→、傘歯車10、12→回転軸11の経路を経て伝達して回転乾燥釜1を回転すると同時にガスバーナ6に着火して回転乾燥釜1内の生ごみ7を攪拌羽根1bの作用と相まって上下に反転攪拌しながら加熱乾燥する。
上記攪拌乾燥処理において、回転乾燥釜1には突出部22により規制杆24を介してばね25によるばね抵抗が付与されて回転乾燥釜1は間欠回転する。すなわち、回転乾燥釜1に突出部22によるばね抵抗が付与されたときは、回転乾燥釜1の回転は抑制されるが、ぜんまい8の動力がそれに打ち勝って回転乾燥釜1は静止状態に近いゆっくりの回転となり、突出部22によるばね抵抗が解かれると通常の回転となる。したがって、回転乾燥釜1内の生ごみ7は静止状態に近いときに上下反転した新しい部分を十分に乾燥するに必要な時間がとれるため、生ごみ7の攪拌乾燥処理が効率的に行われる。そして、乾燥排気は排気用煙突4から機外の大気に放出されるが、発生臭気は途中の触媒5により脱臭される。

上記回転乾燥釜1による所定時間の攪拌乾燥処理が終了すると、操作パネル32のロックボタン32bと点滅操作ボタン32cを操作して回転乾燥釜1の回転をロック機構28により停止すると同時にガスバーナ6を消火する。
その後、一定の時間を置いて回転乾燥釜1内の乾燥された生ごみが冷却してから、生ごみ出し入れ口3の蓋3aを開き、かつ、生ごみ投入口2aの蓋2bを開いて回転乾燥釜1内の乾燥生ごみ17を取り出し、乾燥生ごみ投入口16から案内シュート18を介して圧縮粉砕ローラ13上に投入する。
上記乾燥生ごみ17の圧縮粉砕ローラ13上への投入が適量に達したところで、その投入を停止し、機体A背面のハンドル15を手動で所定の方向へ回転操作して圧縮粉砕ローラ13を回転し乾燥生ごみ17を圧縮粉砕ローラ13で圧縮粉砕する。すなわち、ハンドル15を図示時計方向へ回転操作すると、一対の歯車状ローラ13a、13bは相互に噛合っているため、内方(反対方向)に回転し乾燥生ごみ17は一対の歯車状ローラ13a、13b間に喰い込みその噛合部分で圧縮粉砕されて下方に落下する。
上記動作により回転乾燥釜1内の乾燥生ごみ17を圧縮粉砕ローラ13で人的トルクにより圧縮粉砕処理し、減量化して直下のごみ箱19内に収納する。この粉砕処理には人間の意志によりトルク調整が自由な人的トルクを用いたので、たとえば、軟かい乾燥生ごみの場合は小さい力で粉砕でき、硬い乾燥生ごみの場合は大きい力で粉砕できるから生ごみの種類に容易に対処できる利便がある。

上記圧縮粉砕ローラ13による乾燥生ごみ17の圧縮粉砕処理が完了すると乾燥生ごみ投入口16の蓋16aを閉め、ごみ箱出し入れ口20の蓋20aを開いてごみ箱19内に収納されている圧縮粉砕処理された乾燥生ごみ27をごみ箱19とともにごみ箱出し入れ口20から機外に取り出して廃棄し、空のごみ箱19をごみ箱出し入れ口20から機体A内に再び挿入設置して蓋20aを閉めることにより、一連の生ごみ乾燥粉砕処理が終了する。

上記乾燥生ごみ17の圧縮粉砕ローラ13による圧縮粉砕処理時にハンドル15を図示時計方向へ回転すると、ローラ軸14とトルククラッチ30を介して連結されている平歯車31も共転し、この平歯車31と噛合っている平歯車29を回転して平歯車29にスリット穴8cを介して備えたピン8dでぜんまい8の外端8bを回動してぜんまい8を巻き込み縮圧する。ぜんまい8の巻き込み縮圧が一杯になると、トルククラッチがその負荷により空転し、その後は上記圧縮粉砕ローラ13だけの回転が可能となって、上記乾燥生ごみ17の圧縮粉砕処理だけが引き続き行いうる。したがって、ぜんまい8の巻き込み縮圧は常に一杯まで行えるため、回転乾燥釜1を回転駆動する動力が不足することはない。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したこの発明の第1の厨芥処理装置は、厨房で発生する調理屑、食べ残し等の生ごみの乾燥処理と併せてその粉砕処理を人的トルクで行いうるようにしたから、特に、乾燥生ごみの粉砕処理に人的トルクを用いたので、そのトルク調整が自由なことと相まって生ごみの乾燥処理による軽量化と粉砕処理による減量化とが容易に実現できる簡便で安価な厨芥処理装置が提供できる。
