本発明は、上記事情に鑑み、運転中などに天蓋を開けても高温の水蒸気で火傷をすることのない安全な加湿器を提供することを目的とする。

すなわち本発明は、外装ケースを有し、この外装ケース内に広口の開口部を有する水槽を設け、この水槽にヒータを当該水槽内の水を加熱し得る形で設け、前記外装ケースに天蓋を前記水槽の開口部を覆う形で開閉自在に設け、この天蓋に前記水槽で発生する加湿用水蒸気の吹出口を形成した加湿器において、中央に一つの排気孔が形成された円盤状の蒸気調整板を、前記水槽の開口部を覆う形で前記天蓋とは別に着脱自在に設け、前記蒸気調整板の排気孔に沿って、円環状のリブを当該リブの上端が全閉状態の前記天蓋の下面に当接する形で上向きに設けて構成される。

本発明による加湿器9は、図1に示すように、円筒状の外装ケース1を有しており、外装ケース1内には円筒状の内側ケース5が挿設されている。内側ケース5の底部にはヒータ2が設置されており、ヒータ2の上側には広口の開口部を有する円筒状の水槽3が着脱自在に載置されている。

本発明による加湿器9は以上のような構成を有するので、この加湿器9を運転する際には、まず水槽3に水を入れる。この際、蒸気調整板4は、天蓋7とは独立した形で水槽7の開口部に着脱自在としてあるので、蒸気調整板4をそのつまみ4cを持って取り除き、その状態で注水作業を円滑に行うことができる。次いで、ヒータ2に通電する。すると、水槽3内の水がヒータ2によって加熱されて水蒸気となる。こうして発生した水蒸気は、蒸気調整板4の排気孔4aを通って天蓋7の吹出口7aから排出され、加湿器9付近が加湿される。

ところで、加湿器9の運転中や運転停止直後に水槽3内の水量を確認すべく天蓋7を開けた場合、水槽3内の水が高温になっているため、水槽3の広口の開口部全面から高温の水蒸気が立ちのぼろうとするが、水槽3の開口部を覆う形で蒸気調整板4が載置されているので、加湿運転中に発生する水蒸気は蒸気調整板4の排気孔4aに集められ、円環状のリブ4bで案内されて、天蓋7内に入ることになる。従って、水槽3内で発生した水蒸気がまっすぐ天蓋7の吹出口7aに誘導されるので、天蓋7の下面や蒸気調整板4の上面が必要以上に濡れることがない。そして、天蓋7を持った手の方には水蒸気が殆ど流れてこない。その結果、高温の水蒸気で火傷をする事態の発生を未然に防止することができ、安全性に優れると共に、水槽3内で発生した水蒸気をまっすぐ天蓋7の吹出口7aに誘導することができることから、天蓋7の下面や蒸気調整板4の上面が必要以上に濡れる事態の発生を回避することができる。

以上説明したように本発明によれば、外装ケースを有し、この外装ケース内に広口の開口部を有する加湿用の水槽を設け、この水槽にヒータを当該水槽内の水を加熱し得る形で設け、前記外装ケースに天蓋を前記水槽の開口部を覆う形で開閉自在に設け、この天蓋に前記水槽で発生する加湿用の水蒸気の吹出口を形成した加湿器において、中央に一つの排気孔が形成された円盤状の蒸気調整板を、前記水槽の開口部を覆う形で前記天蓋とは別に着脱自在に設け、前記蒸気調整板の排気孔に沿って、円環状のリブを当該リブの上端が全閉状態の前記天蓋の下面に当接する形で上向きに設けて構成したので、天蓋を開けたときに立ちのぼる水蒸気が蒸気調整板の排気孔のみに集中することから、加湿器の運転中などに天蓋を開けても高温の水蒸気で火傷をすることがない点で安全性に優れると共に、水槽内で発生した水蒸気をまっすぐ天蓋の吹出口に誘導することができることから、天蓋の下面や蒸気調整板の上面が必要以上に濡れる事態の発生を回避することが可能となる。
