Description
場合(A)は(B)とは異なるものである。
上記重合体組成物は重合体技術で使用されている形式の一つ以上の充填剤を含有することができる。典型的な複合重合体混合物に使用されている充填剤の例には、タルク、炭酸カルシウム、マイカ、珪灰石、ドロマイト石灰、グラス・ファイバ、ボロン・ファイバ、カーボン・ファイバ、カーボンブラック、二酸化チタンのような顔料、またはそれらの混合物がある。好ましい充填剤はアール・ティ・バンダービルト(R.T.Vanderbilt)の、商品名「セレクト−エイ−ソーブ」(Select-A-Sorb )のような市場入手可能なタルク、ジェット・フィル(Jet Fil )およびガラス・ファイバがある。混合重合体に含まれる充填剤の量は重合体と充填剤との混合重量の1%から20%まで変り得る。一般に10%から20%までの量が含まれている。
本発明の混合重合体組成物を上記Farrel社(Farrel Corporation、米国コネチカット州アンソニア)の連続処理装置 CP−23で、ミキサ回転速度600rpmで調製し、ペレットにする前に200℃で、水槽および空気ワイパを通過しているより糸の中に押し出す。
成る混合物はジェネラル・エレクトリック社(General Electric Company)から商標名「NORYL TM」(ノイル)の熱可塑性樹脂として市場で入手できる。このような混合物の分子量は10,000から50,000までの範囲にあり、更に多くの場合は30,000である。
、第1段階の部分をそこから収縮して離れ、ゆるくなる傾向があるコアの内側に運ばなければならない。この新しい2段階成形プロセスでは、第1段階の部材をその上にしっかり収縮するコアの上に成形し、次いで第2段階の部材を第1段階の部材の上に成形し、第2段階の部材が第1段階の部材の上にきつく収縮する。

Claims (5)
- プリンタのインク・カートリッジ用に、第1の成形し得る材料と第2の成形し得る重合体混合組成物との間に耐漏洩封止を形成する方法であって、
前記第1の材料をインクの流路を提供する直立管部材を形成するための空洞を備えた所定の第1の構造体へ成形する工程、および
前記第2の成形し得る重合体混合組成物を注入するため、前記第1の構造体を型の中に設置する工程、を含み、前記型は、前記第1の構造体の外側を囲む外側リングが前記直立管部材とともに形成される構造であり、さらに
(A)ポリエチレンおよびエチレンとアルファ−オレフィンとの共重合体から成るグループから選択された少くとも一つの重合体、および(B)ポリプロピレンおよびプロピレンとエチレンとの共重合体から成るグループから選択された少くとも一つの重合体から構成される重合体混合組成物から構成され、(A)と(B)とは異なる、前記第2の成形し得る重合体混合組成物を準備する工程、
溶融状態にある前記第2の成形し得る重合体混合組成物を前記型に注入して前記直立管部材および前記外側リングを成形する工程、および
該成形後の冷却時に、前記外側リングが収縮して前記第1の構造体を圧縮し前記直立管に向けて押圧することにより、前記第1の材料と第2の材料との間に耐漏洩封止を形成する工程を含む方法。 - 前記重合体混合組成物は、(A)ポリエチレンおよびエチレンとアルファ−オレフィンとの共重合体から成るグループから選択された、60重量%から90重量%までの少くとも一つの重合体、および(B)ポリプロピレンおよびプロピレンとエチレンとのランダム共重合体から成るグループから選択された、10重量%から40重量%までの、メルト・フロー・インデックスは3から45である、少くとも一つの重合体、および安定剤から主に構成され、前記第2のプラスチック材料は前記第1のプラスチック材料よりも軟かく且つ延性がある請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記重合体混合組成物は、(A)低密度ポリエチレンおよびエチレンと4から18までの炭素原子を有するアルファ−オレフィンとの共重合体から成るグループから選択された、65重量%から85重量%までの少くとも一つの重合体、および(B)ポリプロピレンおよびプロピレンとエチレンとの共重合体から成るグループから選択された、15重量%から35重量%までの少くとも一つの重合体から主に構成され、重合体混合物のメルト・フロー・インデックスは5から15である請求項2に記載の方法。
- (A)は低密度ポリエチレンであり、(B)はポリプロピレンである請求項3に記載の方法。
- 第1の剛いプラスチック材料から作られた外部フレーム部材、および前記外部フレーム部材の内側に重合体混合組成物から作られた内部フレーム部材から成るフレーム構造体から構成されているプリンタのインク・カ―トリッジを製作する方法であって、
(A)ポリエチレンおよびエチレンとアルファ−オレフィンとの共重合体から成るグループから選択された、少くとも一つの重合体、および(B)ポリプロピレンおよびプロピレンとエチレンとの共重合体から成るグループから選択された、少くとも一つの重合体を含み、(A)と(B)とは異なる前記重合体混合組成物を準備する工程、
前記重合体混合組成物を射出成形して前記内部フレーム部材を作成する工程、
前記外部フレーム部材を前記内部フレーム部材の周りに射出成形するため、前記内部フレーム部材を型の一部となるように型の中に設置する工程、
溶融状態にある前記第1の材料を前記型に注入する工程、
前記第1の材料は冷却されるにつれて前記内部フレーム部材の周りに収縮して前記外部フレーム部材が前記内部フレーム部材にきっちり合うようにする工程を含む方法。
