本発明は、飲料水等を浄水化するための簡易型の浄水器に関し、特に、フィルター部材の交換時期を目視することができる浄水器に関する。

従来、この種の浄水器は、ケーシングの内部に活性炭や中空糸膜を内蔵し、ケーシング内に水道水を供給して内部のフィルタにより濾過することによって浄水を得るようにしている。
このフィルタは、所定の流量を濾過すると、目詰まりが生じ、濾過性能が低下するため、その低下した時期に新しいフィルタと交換する必要がある。
この交換時期は、所定期間経過した後に交換するようにすれば良いが、使用流量の違いにより、最適な時期に交換するのは困難であるため、従来より、浄水器の流路に圧力センサや流量センサを設けて圧力や流量等の変動によって交換時期を確認する浄水器も提案されている。

上記の目的を達成するため、請求項1に係る発明は、透明又は半透明の樹脂製容体の上方を被蓋したキャップに原水用流入口と浄水用流出口を設け、前記容体内にフィルター部材を収納し、このフィルター部材は、底部を閉塞し外周側面より濾過し、かつ外周側面にプレフィルタ用の不織布を設けると共に、前記容体の外周側面に樹脂製シートから成る包装材をシュリンク包装し、この包装材には、文字・図形・記号或は形状・模様・色彩等を適宜に組み合わせて形態模様部を施し、この形態模様部を成す包装材の一部に、前記不織布を目視可能な透明又は半透明の目視領域を設け、この目視領域の形態を前記形態模様部と組み合わせて一体化させ、かつ、前記包装材の目視領域を介して容体内の前記不織布の変色状態を視認できるようにした浄水器である。

図1〜図3は、本発明における浄水器の一例を示した実施形態である。
図1及び図2において、1はABS樹脂(アクリロニトリル、ブタジエン、スチレンの共重合物)等の耐圧性の高い樹脂で成形した透明又は半透明の容体であり、この容体1は、底壁1aを有し、開口部におねじ部1bを設けており、このおねじ部1bにキャップ2を螺合し、このキャップ2には、原水用流入口3と浄水用流出口4を有し、これらの流入出口3、4は、迅速継手のソケットと対を成すプラグ5、6を設け、図示しないソケットの一方は水道ラインと、他方は浄水流出路と接続されている。

この場合、フィルター部材12は、3層のプレフィルタ14a、14b、14cと粒状活性炭15及び中空糸膜16の5層で濾過することができるので、常に、濾過性能を保持した浄水器で長期に亘って使用に供することができる。
