従来、内蔵型アンテナとして誘電体積層チップアンテナを用いる携帯無線機は、「特開平07−111411」に記載されるような構成の携帯無線機であった。これを従来例として図3に示す。図3は携帯無線機の側面断面図である。図3において、1が樹脂製回路基板(ガラスエポキシ樹脂、ALIVH樹脂など)、2が回路基板を遮蔽する為のシールドケース、3がフロントケース、4がリヤケース、5がチップアンテナ、6が伸長収納可能なホイップアンテナ、7がLCD、8がスピーカ、9がマイク、10が入力キー、11がFPC(フレキシブルプリント基板)、12がリンガー、13がイヤホンジャック、14が振動モータ、15がバッテリーである。チップアンテナ5は、樹脂製回路基板1に実装、固定されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
図3に示す従来例において、チップアンテナ5は樹脂製回路基板1に実装されている。ところが近年、携帯無線機の小型・軽量・薄型化により樹脂製回路基板1とフロントケース3の間隔が著しく小さくなり、携帯無線機通話時に耳に当てた場合、アンテナ放射特性が劣化することが問題となっている。また、基板1の面積自体も徐々に縮小されており、チップアンテナ5を実装するスペースが取れない、あるいは取れた場合でも周囲に配置された部品の影響を受けて特性が劣化することが問題となっている。

本発明はこれらの課題を解決するためのものであり、CPU等の主要な電気部品が搭載されている樹脂製回路基板と、この樹脂製回路基板をシールドするためのシールドケースと、このシールドケースとリアケースとの間に配設されたフレキシブルプリント基板とを具備し、内蔵型アンテナとして誘電体積層型チップアンテナを用いる携帯無線機において、チップアンテナをフレキシブルプリント基板に設け、さらにこのフレキシブルプリント基板をシールドケースに固定するようにした携帯無線機を提供する。

本発明について、図面を参照しながら説明する。
図1は本発明の第1実施例である。本図は携帯無線機の側面断面図である。図1において、1が樹脂製回路基板、2が回路基板を遮蔽する為のシールドケース、3がフロントケース、4がリヤケース、5がチップアンテナ、6が伸長収納可能なホイップアンテナ、7がLCD、8がスピーカ、9がマイク、10が入力キー、11がFPC、12がリンガー、13がイヤホンジャック、14が振動モータ、15がバッテリーである。

以上のとおり、本発明はフレキシブルプリント基板にチップアンテナを装着し、さらにこのフレキシブルプリント基板をシールドケースに固定するような構成としたことによりチップアンテナをフロントケースから遠ざけることができ、携帯無線機通話時に耳に当てた場合、アンテナ放射特性の劣化を抑制することができる。
