塩化ビニール製の管や継手を塩化ビニール系の接着材で接続する際、従来使用されている刷毛では、刷毛の塗布面積が少ないために、接着材の塗布作業を径が太くなるのにしたがい数回に分けて塗布しなければならないでいる。ところが、塩化ビニール系の接着材は速乾性であるため、数回の塗布中に乾いてしまい、接着材による接続作業に難儀しているのが実情である。
また、従来の刷毛では、被塗布面に対して刷毛をほぼ立てた状態でないと塗布することさえできないという塗布方向の制限があるため、刷毛を管や継手の軸線周りにほぼ一周させることによって塗布しており、作業スペースが確保されている場合でも面倒であって、作業スペースが片側しか確保されていない場合には塗布すること自体ができない不備があった。

本発明は前記した課題を達成するため、接着材容器の開口部に着脱自在に備え可能な接着材用塗布具であって、塗布具本体は、同軸状の基側の柄部と中間の栓部と先側の塗り部からなり、柄部は、前記開口部に着脱可能に備えられた状態で、開口部の外側に位置して、握り操作可能に形成し、栓部は、前記開口部に着脱可能で且つ開口部を密閉状に閉じ可能に形成してあると共に、外径を柄部の径よりも大径にして、栓部上面部に押し面部を形成し、塗り部は、各繊維が球心から放射状に展開していて、この放射状の隣り合う各繊維間に多数の接着材保有間隙を保有した球形状であると共に、塗布面を球形面で形成してあることを特徴とする。
