【従来の技術】
自動車の自動変速機構等には一方向にのみ回転トルクを伝達するため一方向クラッチが用いられる。このような一方向クラッチは、例えば図6に示すように、外輪11と内輪12と、これら外・内輪間に形成される環状空間14に一定のピッチで配置される複数個の係合部材(スプラグ)15と、該スプラグ15を保持する外保持器13a及び内保持器13bと、該スプラグ15をロック側へ付勢するリボンスプリング16と、で構成される。この場合、リボンスプリング16もスプラグ15を挿入保持するための挿入孔16Pが設けられている。尚、一方向クラッチには、図7に示すように、外・内輪間に形成される環状空間14に配置されるスプラグ15を一つの保持器13で保持し且つリボンスプリング16で該スプラグ15を付勢するようにしたものもある。いずれにしても、一方向クラッチは、スプラグ15と、保持器13(13a,13b)と、リボンスプリング16と、で構成されるものが主流となっている。これらの一方向クラッチでは、繰り返し揺動運動するスプラグの不安定な動きを押さえたり、或いはスプラグの揺動運動により生じる摩耗を成るべく防止するようにリボンスプリングに工夫がなされている(特開平63−266222号、特開平63−259225号)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
一方向クラッチは、回転(空転)とロックの繰り返し動作をするため、スプラグは内側又は外側のカム面の曲率中心を中心として一定角度揺動(回転)するように製作されるのが望ましい。しかし、現実にはスプラグは、外輪や内輪との接触面との関係でそのカム面の曲率中心を回転中心として動いてはおらず、例えば回転とロックとの回転動作が早い場合、スム−ズに動作せず空転時ポッピング等によりスプラグが大きく跳ねて破損に至る場合がある。更にまた、リボンスプリングのスプラグ保持や保持器の形状が制限されるという問題がある。
