従来、形鋼製品の矯正は、冷間工程においてローラー矯正あるいはプレス矯正を行うのが一般的であり、熱間でのプレス矯正については、開閉可能な対向する複数組の当金を有する形鋼の熱間プレス曲り矯正機が実開昭58−43820号公報に開示されている。熱間で形鋼製品を矯正することは、製品剛性が冷間に比べて小さいため、冷間設備に比べ小さな設備で可能なことや精整工程でのプレス作業負荷軽減などの効果が期待できるものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、熱間で矯正することは、小さな矯正力で効果が得られる反面、製品剛性が小さいために、不要な変形を与える恐れがある。

特に、形鋼の搬送水平方向に対して直交方向からプレス矯正する場合、プレス部を支点として形鋼長手方向のプレス部とプレスしない部分間で屈曲変形を生じる問題が発生する。
