本発明は釘に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
釘の頭部には着色あるいは錆止めを目的として塗装が施される場合がある。このような塗装は釘を打込む際の衝撃等によって剥れないよう密着性を高める必要がある。
従来、塗膜密着性の向上を図るために、釘の頭部上面に多数の凸部を設ける手段が提供されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし頭部上面に凸部を設けた場合には、ハンマーで釘頭部を介して釘を打込む時、釘頭の凸部に応力が集中し、該釘頭凸部がつぶれ、該凸部頂点がつぶれると表面の塗膜に亀裂が入り、剥れ落ち易く、またハンマーの摩擦によって塗膜が削られてしまうと云う問題点がある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記従来の課題を解決するための手段として、頭部3上面において上面面積5mm2 あたり径0.1mm〜1mmの凹部5を8個以上30個以下設け、更に該凹部5の深さよりも深いマーキング6を設けた上で、該頭部3上面に塗装を施した釘1を提供するものである。
該凹部5の内面は曲面状であることが望ましい。

【作用】
本発明では、釘1の頭部3上面に凹部5を設けるので、該釘1の頭部3上面は平面状になる。このような釘頭部3上面に塗膜8を形成すると、該塗膜8は該凹部5内に食い込み、アンカー効果によって塗膜密着性が高められる。該凹部5の内面を曲面状にすると、該凹部5内面積即ち塗膜8との接触面積が拡大し、密着性が更に高められる。

この凹部5は該釘頭部上面面積5mm2 あたり8個以上30個以下とし、また凹部5の径は0.1mm〜1mmとする。
凹部5の数が8個に満たず、また凹部5の径が1mmを越える場合には、塗膜8の食い込みによるアンカー効果が不充分となり、更に凹部5をパンチングで設ける場合にはパンチの消耗が大きくなり、また凹部5の数が30個を越え、凹部5の径が0.1mmに満たない場合も、塗膜8の食い込みが不充分となり、アンカー効果は顕著でなくなる。

また該釘頭部3上面に更に該凹部5よりも深いマーキング6を設けてあるから、該頭部3上面と塗膜8との接触面積が更に拡大し、またマーキング6内の塗膜8はハンマーの衝撃に直接曝されず保護される。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明を図1〜図4に示す一実施例によって説明すれば、釘1は先尖りの胴部2と頭部3とからなり、該胴部2周面にはリング溝4が設けられ、頭部3の上面には複数個の内面曲面状の凹部5と、マーキングであるマーク6とが設けられている。
該凹部5は釘頭部上面面積5mm2 あたり8個以上30個以下の密度で設けられており、また凹部5の径は0.1mm〜1mm、深さ30〜80μmに設定される。該凹部5は異形で不規則に設けられていることが望ましく、凹部5が異形の場合、上記径とは図2に示すように最長径dを指す。

更に該マーク6は該凹部5の深さよりも深く設定され、本実施例では150μm程度とされる。また該マーク6の面積は釘頭部平面部7の面積の10〜20%程度が望ましい。なお該マーク6には図3イ、ロ、ハ、ニ、ホ、ヘに示すように、記号、ひらがな、かたかな、漢字、アルファベット等の種々な文字、三角形、四角形等の種々な形状等がある。

また凹部5以外の平面部7の面積比(平面部面積/凹部面積)は1.0以上であることが望ましく、また凹部5相互はなるべく接触しない方が望ましく、接触率は釘頭部上面面積5mm2 あたり30%以下に設定することが望ましく、更に望ましくは20%以下にすることが望ましい。該凹部5およびマーク6は釘頭部3上面にパンチングを施すことによって形成される。

該釘1の頭部3上面には塗装が施され、図4に示すように塗膜8が形成されている。
該塗膜8形成用樹脂としては、ウレタン樹脂、アクリルウレタン樹脂、アクリル樹脂、アクリルシリコーン樹脂、フッ素樹脂、シリコーン樹脂、オレフィン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂等の合成樹脂が使用されている。

表1において、凹部5の径が0.1mm以下、凹部5の個数が5mm2 あたり30以上、平面部7の面積比10以上、5mm2 あたりの凹部5相互の接触率0%の比較例1では、玄能5回打ち時点で塗膜8剥離率が10〜20%であり、凹部5径1.3mm以上、凹部5の個数が5mm2 あたり2〜3、平面部7の面積比0.3〜0.5、5mm2 あたりの凹部5相互の接触率0%の比較例2および凹部5の径が0.1〜0.8mmの範囲にあるけれども、凹部5の個数が5mm2 あたり4〜5、平面部7の面積比2.5〜3.5、5mm2 あたりの凹部5相互の接触率10〜20%の比較例3では、玄能3回打ちの時点で塗膜8剥離率が10〜20%であり、凹部5の径が0.1〜1.0mm、5mm2 あたりの凹部5の個数が8〜20、平面部7の面積比1.0〜1.5であるけれども、5mm2 あたりの凹部5相互の接触率が40〜50%の比較例4は玄能5回打ち時点で塗膜8剥離率が5〜10%である。

本発明では釘頭部上面の塗膜密着性が格段に向上し、釘打込みに際しても塗膜の剥がれが殆んどなくなる。
