この発明は、洪水発生時に放流量を増やして安全を確保するダム洪水吐設備に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
ダムに設けられる洪水吐設備として、図3に示すように、堤体1の頂部にゲート2を設置し、ゲート2の扉体3から下流側に延びるアーム4の基端部を軸5で回動自在に支持し、電動ウインチによるワイヤ6の巻上げ・巻戻しに伴い扉体3を昇降させ、ゲート2を開閉するものが使用されている。

このような洪水吐設備では、台風等により洪水が発生した時、扉体3を上昇させてゲート2を開くと、上流側の水が堤体1を越流し、上流側水位の異常な上昇による水害を防止することができる。その放流能力は、建設時に定められる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、ダムの建設後に、流域の環境特性が変化して、放流能力の増強を図る必要が生じることがある。この場合、新しいダムを建設することは容易ではないため、既存のダムに設けられた洪水吐設備のゲートを大型のものに取り替えることが考えられる。

しかしながら、大型のゲートを設置するには、ピアやその他の設備も改造しなければならず、また、ゲートの運搬にも困難を伴い、多大なコストと長い工期を要するという問題がある。

そこで、この発明は、既存の設備を改造して、低コストかつ短工期で放流能力の大きなダム洪水吐設備を設置しようとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため、この発明は、ダムの堤体の頂部にゲートを設置したダム洪水吐設備において、既設堤体の高さを下げ、既設ゲートの下方に副ゲートを付加し、ゲート開閉面積を拡大することにより、既設ゲートを大型のゲートに取り替えることなく、放流能力を増強することとしたのである。

以下、この発明の実施の形態を添付図面に基づいて説明する。なお、この洪水吐設備は、図3に示す従来の洪水吐設備を改造したものである。

図1に示すように、この改造に際しては、まず、既設堤体1の上部を削り、堤体1の高さを、鎖線で示す従来の高さよりも低くする。

次に、既設ゲート2の下方に副ゲート7を付加する。ここでは、副ゲート7として、扉体8が軸9を支点として油圧シリンダ10により起伏する四方水密フラップゲートを採用している。

このように改造した洪水吐設備では、図2に示すように、既設ゲート2と副ゲート7を開いたとき、開放される面積が大きくなるので、洪水発生時の放流能力が増強される。

また、改造に際し、既設ゲート2を大型のものに取り替える必要がなく、副ゲート7は、運搬や設置が容易な小型のものであることから、低コストかつ短工期で工事を行うことができ、工事後に景観が変化することもない。
