本発明によるパイプ継手は、二本のパイプ端部にそれぞれ取り付ける係合体と、両係合体の間に介在する結合体とから構成、両パイプを横一直線に連結した状態において、両係合体と結合体の結合具合が、一対の半球体をその頂部で連続した形態となり、各係合体は、半球体を、その頂部分を切除するように斜めに切り欠き、円形の切欠傾斜面を形成し、一方結合体は、切欠傾斜面に重ね合わさる接合面を有し且つ係合体との取り付けにより半球体を形成するフランジ部を、点対称的に連続した形状又は逆V字状に連続して設けた線対称形状としてなり、切欠傾斜面と接合面の両中心部を止具で連結し、止具を中心にして回動する結合体と係合体によって、両パイプの連結角度を調節可能としてあることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明によるパイプ継手は図1〜図3に示すように、結合体1の左右に、パイプP端部に取付ける係合体2をそれぞれ回転可能にビス止めし、それによって二本のパイプP,Pを連結するものである。

また本パイプ継手は、二本のパイプP,Pを横一直線に連結する場合には、頂部が横を向く一組の半球体3,3を、その頂部で連続して設けた概形をしたものである。そして、各半球体3を、その頂部分を切除するように、しかも切断面が円形をなすようにして、線対称的に且つ斜めに切断し、その際に形成された三つの部品を上記各構成部品と仮定することができ、中心部分を結合体1となし、両側部分を係合体2となすものである。この半球体3は体裁を良くするためにパイプPと同じ径に設定してある。なお、頂部とは、半球体を平面上に安定するように置いた場合に、その最も高い部分を指し、頂部分とは頂部より少し低い部分も含んだ箇所を指す概念である。
