本発明は、航行中の船舶の船首部に到来する波浪によって、船体の縦揺れなどが起きるのを低減させるようにした船体運動低減装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、船体の縦揺れなどの船体運動を減少させる手段として、船首部の水面下で船体から水平にフィンを張り出したものが考えられているが、このような手段では上記フィンが常時水面下にあって船体抵抗の増加を招くという不具合がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
そこで本発明は、船首部において、満載喫水線よりも上方の船体外板面に、海水との相互作用で造波減衰力の増大をもたらす突起を適切に形成することにより、船体運動の低減を効率よく図れるようにした装置を提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前述の課題を解決するため、本発明の船体運動低減装置は、船首部において、満載喫水線よりも上方の船体外板面に、多数のブロックが、相互に上下および前後に間隔をあけながら稠密に装着されており、上記ブロックが、水平方向に形成された尖端縁を備えるとともに、上段の上記ブロック相互の間隔と、その直下の下段における上記ブロック相互の間隔とは前後方向にずれるように構成されていることを特徴としている。

図1および図2に示すように、本実施形態の船体運動低減装置では、船首部1において、満載喫水線2よりも上方の船体外板面1aに、多数のブロック5が、相互に上下および前後に間隔をあけながら稠密に装着されている。
