しかしながら通常断熱キャップは吐水管から抜けないように強固に結合されており、断熱キャップのみを吐水管に対し回転させる機能は備えておらず吐水方向は下向きで常に一定方向であり、吐水範囲が狭く使い勝手の悪いものであった。

本発明が解決しようとする課題は、混合水栓の吐水管先端に断熱キャップを装着した状態でも吐水範囲を広くすることで、流し台や洗面台での使い勝手を向上させることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、請求項1では混合水栓の吐水管先端に装着される断熱キャップに於いて、前記断熱キャップは接続部材と抜け止め部材とを介して吐水管先端に装着され、前記抜け止め部材は吐水管の先端面にビスにより取付けられ、接続部材が差し込まれる凹欠部が形成されており、前記接続部材は抜け止め部材の凹欠部に差し込む挿着溝とフランジ部とが隣り合わせて形成され、該フランジ部が抜け止め部材と吐水管との間で挟着されることにより接続部材は回転自在で吐水管から抜けないように取着され、接続部材に対し断熱キャップを嵌着させることで、該断熱キャップを吐水管に対し回転自在としたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施例を図に基づいて詳細に説明する。
この実施例の混合水栓1は流し台又は洗面台等に固定され、図1に示すように吐水管3が水平方向に旋回可能に取付けられており、レバー2の操作により吐水管3内から混合水を外部へ供給可能としている。吐水管3の先端には図2乃至図4に示すように、抜け止め部材15を介して接続部材6と一体に結合した断熱キャップ19が装着されている。

前記接続部材6は横長で内部に通水路7を形成した略円柱状で、前記吐水管3の出口と向かい合う先端面から一部を円弧状へ突出して突部8を形成し、先端面よりの外周面中途部に形成した挿着溝9とフランジ部10を隣り合わせ、前記通水路7は他端の下部に外部と連通する開口部11が形成される。又、接続部材6の外周面にはシール用のOリング12を嵌合するためのリング溝13が適宜の間隔で複数個形成されている。

前記抜け止め部材15は吐水管3に対し接続部材6を回転自在に取付け、しかも接続部材6が吐水管3から抜けないようにするためのものであり、略円盤形の抜け止め部材15は下方から切欠いた逆U字形の凹欠部16を形成し、該凹欠部16の左右両端に対のビス孔17、17が穿設されており、吐水管3に接続部材6を取付けるには後述する断熱キャップ19を接続部材6に結合する前にまず接続部材6の装着溝9に抜け止め部材15の凹欠部16を差し込み、各ビス18、18を抜け止め部材15のビス孔17、17に挿通して吐水管3の各ネジ孔4、4に締結すれば、接続部材6は突部8が吐水管3の出口内周面に適宜の間隔をおいて形成した各ストッパー部5、5aに当接する範囲内で回転することができ、しかも接続部材6はフランジ部10が吐水管3の先端と抜け止め部材15の間で挟着されることで、吐水管3から抜けることがない。

なお、吐水管3から各ストッパー部5、5aを削除するか又は接続部材6の突部8を削除することで、接続部材6を360°回転可能としてもよい。

前記断熱キャップ19は横長で断熱性を有する合成樹脂からなり、吐水管3に回転自在に結合した接続部材6の外周に嵌着させた後に、下方から止め具20を断熱キャップ19のネジ孔21に挿通し、接続部材6の螺孔14に螺合して一体化することで接続部材6に対し抜け止めと回転を防止し、吐水管3に対しては接続部材6と共に回転可能としている。

【発明の効果】
この発明は上記の構成であるから、次の利点を有する。
(1)混合水栓の吐水管先端に装着される断熱キャップは接続部材と抜け止め部材とを介して吐水管先端に装着され、前記抜け止め部材は吐水管の先端面にビスにより取付けられ、接続部材が差し込まれる凹欠部が形成されており、前記接続部材は抜け止め部材の凹欠部に差し込む挿着溝とフランジ部とが隣り合わせて形成され、該フランジ部が抜け止め部材と吐水管との間で挟着されることにより接続部材は回転自在で吐水管から抜けないように取着され、接続部材に対し断熱キャップを嵌着させることで、吐水管に対し回転自在としたので、熱湯の吐出時でも断熱キャップを自由に回転して吐水方向を変更することができ、吐水領域が拡大するので、流し台や洗面台での混合水栓の使い勝手が大幅に向上する。
(2)断熱キャップの回転角度は吐水管のストッパー部により規制されるので、混合水がシンクや洗面ボール等からはみ出して床等を水浸しにする恐れがない。
