【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、録画や録音等の記録済とされたビデオカセット等の記録媒体を収納する外装ケース、就中、カセットの販売用ケースとレンタル用ケースを兼用できる構成とした外装ケースに関するものであり、特に、販売用ケースとして使用する際に、カセットが裸にされた状態と、スリーブケースに収納された状態と、保護ケースに収納された状態の何れの場合でも、内部でガタツキを生じることなく好適に収納できるように構成した外装ケースを提供するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、記録済とされたビデオカセット等のカセットは、メーカーから販売店やレンタル店に向けて販売する際には、専用の販売用ケースに収納された状態で出荷されている。このような専用の販売用ケースは、開閉自在な扉壁によりカセットを取出自在に収納した構成とされている。そこで、レンタル店においては、該販売用ケースからカセットを取出した後、専用のレンタル用ケースに収納し、これをレンタル店において陳列販売している。専用のレンタル用ケースは、上端の開口部からカセットを挿脱自在に挿入せしめる構成とされ、通常、カセットは、該レンタル用ケースに挿入した状態で開口部から上方に突出せしめられる。

メーカーから販売される記録済みのカセット１は、従来、図１１（Ａ）に示すような裸とされた状態と、図１１（Ｂ）に示すような合成樹脂製薄板状の箱体から成るスリーブケース２に収納された状態との２つの態様のうち何れかの態様が選択的に採用されていた。そして、図１１（Ａ）に示す裸のカセット１は、図１１（Ｄ）に示すような専用の販売用ケース３ａに収納した上で販売店やレンタル店に対して出荷され、図１１（Ｂ）に示すスリーブケース２に入れられたカセット１は、図１１（Ｅ）に示すような専用の販売用ケース３ｂに収納した上で販売店やレンタル店に対して出荷されていた。

当然のことながら、裸の状態とされたカセット１の高さ寸法Ｈ１及び幅寸法Ｗ１と、カセット１を収納したスリーブケース２の高さ寸法Ｈ２及び幅寸法Ｗ２は、Ｈ１＜Ｈ２、Ｗ１＜Ｗ２となるので、専用の販売用ケースは、収納室４ａの高さ寸法ｈ１及び幅寸法ｗ１をカセット１の高さ寸法Ｈ１及び幅寸法Ｗ１に適合せしめた販売用ケース３ａと、収納室４ｂの高さ寸法ｈ２及び幅寸法ｗ２をスリーブケース２の高さ寸法Ｈ２及び幅寸法Ｗ２に適合せしめた販売用ケース３ｂとの２種類とされていた。

尚、このような販売用ケース３ａ、３ｂは、それぞれ、側面を開口せしめたほぼ直方体形状のケース本体５ａ、５ｂと、該側面開口を開閉する扉式の蓋板６ａ、６ｂを備えた構成とされており、外壁面に透明シート７ａ、７ｂを添設した構成とされる。そして、該外壁面と透明シート７ａ、７ｂの間には、カセットに記録されたソフトの内容を表示する写真、文字又は図柄等の情報を表示したジャケットシートが保持される。

前述のように、裸のままで提供されるカセット１は、専用の販売用ケース３ａに収納した状態で販売され、スリーブケース２に収納して提供されるカセット１は、専用の販売用ケース３ｂに収納した状態で販売される。ところで、これらの商品の納品を受けたレンタル店においては、販売用ケース３ａ、３ｂからカセット１を取出した後、図１１（Ｆ）に示すように、該カセット１を専用のレンタル用ケース８に挿入した状態で店頭に陳列し展示する。

レンタルに際し、カセット１は、一般的に、図１１（Ｃ）に示すような保護ケース９に収納した状態でレンタル用ケース８に挿入されるが、カセット１が販売形態時に上述の図１１（Ｂ）に示すようなスリーブケース２に収納されているときは、該スリーブケース２に収納した状態でレンタル用ケース８に挿入される場合もある。この際、スリーブケース２の高さ寸法Ｈ２及び幅寸法Ｗ２に対して、保護ケース９の高さ寸法Ｈ３及び幅寸法Ｗ３は、Ｈ２＜Ｈ３、Ｗ２＜Ｗ３とされているので、専用のレンタル用ケース８は、通常、スリーブケース２に収納されたカセット１（幅寸法Ｗ２）と、保護ケース９に収納されたカセット１（幅寸法Ｗ３）のそれぞれに適合せしめられるような２種類のケースが８ａ、８ｂが準備される。

専用のレンタル用ケース８は、上部を開口１０せしめたほぼ直方体形状のケースを構成し、スリーブケース２又は保護ケース９に収納したカセット１を上部の開口部１０より挿入自在としており、通常は挿入状態で、カセット１（スリーブケース２又は保護ケース９）を開口部１０から突出せしめるように構成されている。即ち、レンタル用ケース８における収納室の底部を形成する底壁１１にカセット１（スリーブケース２又は保護ケース９）を支承せしめた状態で、上部１２が開口部１０から突出する。従って、レンタル店における顧客は、陳列棚等に陳列されたレンタル用ケース８を視認する際に、カセット１を収納した状態（レンタル可能な状態）であるか、或いは、カセット１を収納しない空の状態（レンタル不能な貸出し中の状態）であるかを一目で判別することができる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述のように、従来の場合、カセット１の商品は、メーカーから出荷される際には、専用の販売用ケース３ａ、３ｂに収納される一方、レンタル店においてレンタルに供される際には、専用のレンタル用ケース８に収納される。

従って、レンタル店においては、専用のレンタル用ケース８を仕入れると共に多数個を準備しておかなければならず、これがコスト高の原因となっている。しかも、専用の販売用ケース３ａ、３ｂは、カセット１を取出した後に廃棄しているのが現状であり、資源の無駄と、廃棄物処理の問題を生じている。

更に、カセット１を保護ケース９に収納した状態で専用のレンタル用ケース８に挿入する場合は、カセット１をスリーブケース２から保護ケース９に移しかえるため、不要となったスリーブケース２が廃棄され、やはり、資源の無駄と、廃棄物処理の問題がある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、上記に鑑み、カセットの販売用ケースとレンタル用ケースを兼用できる構成とした外装ケースに関するものである。特に、本発明は、販売用ケースとして使用するときには、裸のカセットをガタツキを生じることなく好適に収納することができるように構成し、販売時におけるスリーブケースを不要ならしめる。そして、レンタル用ケースとして使用するときには、カセットがスリーブケースに収納された状態と、保護ケースに収納された状態との何れの場合でも、上部の開口部から好適に挿入することができると共にガタツキを生じることなく好適に収納することができるように構成し、これにより販売用ケースとレンタル用ケースの兼用を可能にした外装ケースを提供することを目的とする。

そこで、本発明が手段として構成したところは、記録済のカセットを取出し自在に収納する外装ケースにおいて、外装ケースは、両側に側壁を配置した収納室と、該収納室の上端を開口せしめることによりカセットを挿脱自在とする開口部と、収納室の底壁の両側から前記開口部に向けて起立せしめられた支持壁とを備えたケース本体と、前記開口部を閉鎖する位置と前記支持壁に搭載される位置の何れか一方の位置に選択的に着脱自在とされる着脱取付部材とから構成されており、着脱取付部材は、開口部を閉鎖自在とする板体の一方の面に板体の肉厚に相当する非突出部を形成すると共に他方の面に機能部を構成し、機能部は、板体から寸法ｔだけ突出する制御部を備え、該制御部の一端から板体の長手方向一端に向けて前記寸法ｔを越えて突出する規制ガイド部を設けており、前記機能部を収納室に向かわしめた状態で着脱取付部材により開口部を閉鎖したとき、着脱取付部材の制御部とケース本体の底壁の間を高さ寸法ｈ１とし、着脱取付部材の規制ガイド部を除く長手方向寸法を幅寸法ｗ１とする収納室Ｓ１を形成し、該収納室Ｓ１にカセットを収納する販売用ケース１３Ａを構成する一方において、機能部を収納室に向かわしめた状態で着脱取付部材を支持壁に搭載することにより開口部を開口せしめたとき、該着脱取付部材の機能部により底部を構成すると共に、一対の側壁の内法寸法から前記規制ガイド部を除いた寸法を幅寸法ｗ２とする収納室Ｓ２を形成し、該収納室Ｓ２にカセットを収納したスリーブケースを挿入するレンタル用ケース１３Ｂを構成し、更に、非突出部を収納室に向かわしめた状態で着脱取付部材を支持壁に搭載することにより開口部を開口せしめたとき、該着脱取付部材の非突出部により底部を構成すると共に、一対の側壁の内法寸法を幅寸法ｗ３とする収納室Ｓ３を形成し、該収納室Ｓ３にカセットを収納した保護ケースを挿入するレンタル用ケース１３Ｃを構成するように形成して成る点にある。

着脱取付部材の規制ガイド部は、ガイド斜面を形成しており、機能部を収納室に向かわしめた状態で着脱取付部材を支持壁に搭載したレンタル用ケース１３Ｂに対して、開口部からカセットを収納したスリーブケースを挿入したとき、ガイド斜面により該スリーブケースの底部を制御部に向けて滑落せしめるように構成されている。

着脱取付部材により開口部を閉鎖した販売用ケース１３Ａは、規制ガイド部が臨む側壁に近傍する側の支持壁と底壁の間に起立壁を設けると共に、該起立壁の頂縁から収納室Ｓ１に向けて下り勾配を有して傾斜するガイド手段を形成している。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下図面に基づいて本発明の好ましい実施形態を詳述する。
【００１７】
（ケース本体の構成）
図１ないし図４に示す実施形態において、カセットの販売用ケースとレンタル用ケースを兼用できる外装ケース１３は、側面を開口せしめたほぼ直方体形状のケース本体１４に対して、該側面開口を開閉自在とする扉式の蓋板１５を備えた構成とされ、蓋板１５をケース本体１４に連設せしめる背壁１６の両側に薄肉ヒンジ１７、１７を形成している。

ケース本体１４は、蓋板１５により側面開口を施蓋せしめた状態でカセットを収納せしめる収納室Ｓを区成するように、表壁１８に収納室Ｓの左右を規制する背の低い一対の側壁２９、２０と、収納室Ｓの底部を規制する底壁２１とを一体成形しており、底壁２１に対向する側において収納室Ｓを開口せしめる開口部Ｏを形成している。

一対の側壁１９、２０は、開口部Ｏの両側部を画成する口壁２２、２３を収納室Ｓの厚さ方向に延設すると共に、それぞれの口壁２２、２３に折返壁２２ａ、２３ａを連設せしめている。背壁１６に近傍する折返壁２２ａは折返部分で終わっているが、背壁１６の反対側に位置する折返壁２３ａは、ケース本体１４の全長（全高）に延びる腹壁２４に連設されており、腹壁２４の長手方向中途部には切欠状の窓２５が形成されている。

一対の側壁１９、２０から延設された口壁２２、２３の延長端には、それぞれ側壁１９、２０の縁とほぼ平行に延びる突起２６、２７を設けており、図２に示すように、それぞれの突起２６、２７の突出端には側壁１９、２０に対向して膨出するほぼ円弧状の係止部２６ａ、２７ａを形成している。

底壁２１の両側には、開口部Ｏに向けて起立せしめられた支持壁２８、２９が設けられている。図２及び図３に示すように、背壁１６に近傍する支持壁２８は、側壁１９とほぼ同じ高さに形成されており、該側壁１９の内側に位置して底壁１４から収納室Ｓに向けて延びる起立壁２８ａと、該起立壁２８ａから外向きに折曲されると共に該側壁１９に連設された座壁２８ｂとを備えている。背壁１６の反対側に位置する支持壁２９は、腹壁２４とほぼ同じ高さに形成されており、側壁２０の内側に位置して底壁１４から収納室Ｓに向けて延びる起立壁２９ａと、該起立壁２９ａから外向きに折曲されると共に該側壁２０に連設された座壁２９ｂとを備えている。

更に、底壁２１の両側からケース本体１４（表壁１８）の底縁１４ａに向けて延びると共に外向きに折返された折曲壁３０、３１が延設されている。背壁１６に近傍する折曲壁３０は、前記起立壁２８ａの外側にポケット３０ａを形成し、該ポケット３０ａは側壁１９の外側に向けて開口する。背壁１６の反対側に位置する折曲壁３１は、前記起立壁２９ａの外側にポケット３１ａを形成すると共に腹壁２４に連設され、該ポケット３１ａは側壁２０の外側に向けて開口する。

図２及び図３に示すように、背壁１６に近傍する支持壁２８の起立壁２８ａは、内側に突出するほぼ三角形状のリブ状のガイド手段３２を設けており、該ガイド手段３２は、起立壁２８ａの頂縁から表壁１８に向けて下り勾配を有する斜面３２を形成している。

（蓋板の構成）
蓋板１５は、ヒンジ１７を介して背壁１６を起立せしめると共に、蓋板１５により収納室Ｓを覆わしめたとき、表壁１８に平行に対面せしめられる裏壁３３を構成する。蓋板１５の自由端縁に沿って差込壁３４が形成されており、収納室Ｓを閉蓋した状態で、該差込壁３４が腹壁２４の内側に沿って挿入され、腹壁２４に設けられた爪３５により着脱自在に保持される。尚、この際、差込壁３４に設けた舌片３６が窓２５を閉鎖する。

蓋板１５は、ケース本体１４の底縁１４ａの近傍に対向せしめられる補助壁３７を備えており、蓋板１５により収納室Ｓを閉蓋した状態で、補助壁３７が底壁２１の外面に重ね合わせられる。尚、背壁１６の両端にも補助壁３８、３９が設けられており、閉蓋状態において、それぞれ、折返壁２２ａ及び折曲壁３０の外面に重ね合わせられる。

尚、図示省略しているが、表壁１８、背壁１６、裏壁３３の外側面には、図１１に基づいて説明した従来技術の販売用ケース３ａ、３ｂと同様の透明シートが添設されており、ジャケットを保持することが可能なように構成されている。

（着脱取付部材の構成）
前記のような蓋板１５を備えたケース本体１４に対して、着脱取付部材４０が別体のものとして具備せしめられる。着脱取付部材４０は、図５及び図６に示すように開口部Ｏを閉鎖する位置と、図７及び図８並びに図９及び図１０に示すように支持壁２８、２９に搭載される位置との、二つの位置におけるの何れか一方の位置に選択的に着脱自在となるように構成されている。しかも、支持壁２８、２９に搭載するに際し、図７及び図８に示すように機能部４２ｂを収納室に対向せしめた姿勢と、図９及び図１０に示すように機能部４２ｂを底壁２１に対向せしめた姿勢との二つにおける何れか一方の姿勢に基づいて選択的に着脱自在となるように構成されている。

従って、図５及び図６に示すように、着脱取付部材４０により前記開口部Ｏを閉鎖せしめたときは、底壁２１を底部とした収納室Ｓ１が形成される。この場合、外装ケース１３は、収納室Ｓ１に裸のカセット１を収納するための販売用ケース１３Ａを構成する。その一方において、図７及び図８並びに図９及び図１０に示すように、着脱取付部材４０を支持壁２８、２９に搭載し、開口部Ｏを開口せしめたときは、該着脱取付部材４０を底部とした収納室Ｓ２、Ｓ３が形成され、この場合、外装ケース１３は、スリーブケース２又は保護ケース９に収納されたカセット１を挿入するためのレンタル用ケース１３Ｂ、１３Ｃを構成する。そして、図７及び図８に示すように着脱取付部材４０の機能部４２ｂを収納室Ｓ２に対向せしめた取付姿勢の場合は、スリーブケース２に収納されたカセット１を挿入するためのレンタル用ケース１３Ｂとして使用され、図９及び図１０に示すように着脱取付部材４０の機能部４２ｂを底壁２１に対向せしめた取付姿勢の場合は、保護ケース９に収納されたカセット１を挿入するためのレンタル用ケース１３Ｃとして使用される。このように、外装ケース１３は、（１）収納室Ｓに裸のカセット１を収納する販売用ケース１３Ａと、（２）スリーブケース２に収納されたカセット１を挿入するレンタル用ケース１３Ｂと、（３）保護ケース９に収納されたカセット１を挿入するレンタル用ケース１３Ｃとを兼用して使用することができ、一つの外装ケース１３により三通りの役割を果たすことができる。

図４に示すように、着脱取付部材４０は、開口部Ｏを閉鎖する形状及び大きさの板体４１の外側面（開口部Ｏを閉鎖した状態で外部に臨む面）に、該板体４１の肉厚に相当するほぼ平坦な非突出面４２ａを形成すると共に、内側面（開口部Ｏを閉鎖した状態で収納室Ｓに臨む面）に機能部４２ｂを構成し、該機能部４２ｂに開口部Ｏの幅方向に延びるリブから成る制御部４３を設けており、該制御部４３を板体１４の内側面よりも寸法ｔだけ突出せしめている。板体４１の両側には、耳片４４、４５が設けられており、それぞれの耳片４４、４５は、板体４１の両側面に縦リブ４４ａ、４５ａを介して連設されており、縦リブ４４ａ、４５ａの下方には、耳片４４、４５と板体４１の両側面との間の隙間を介して保持溝４４ｂ、４５ｂが形成されている。図例の場合、耳片４４、４５は、板体４１の両側に位置して機能部４２ｂが向く側（着脱取付部材４０により開口部Ｏを閉鎖した状態でケース本体１４の内部に向かう側）に偏位、即ち、突出するように配置されている。

更に、リブから成る制御部４３は、長手方向の一端側（着脱取付部材４０により開口部Ｏを閉鎖した状態で背壁１６に近傍する側）に位置して耳片４４の側縁に向けて傾斜する規制ガイド部４６を設けている。従って、規制ガイド部４６の傾斜面は、前述した寸法ｔを越えて突出する。

（販売用ケースとしての使用形態）
図５及び図６に示すように、着脱取付部材４０により開口部Ｏを閉鎖せしめたとき、外装ケース１３は、販売用ケース１３Ａとして使用される。蓋板１５を開いた状態で、着脱取付部材４０の機能部４２ｂを収納室Ｓ１に臨ましめると共に、保持溝４４ｂ、４５ｂを側壁１９、２０に嵌合し、着脱取付部材４０を側壁１９、２０に沿って開口部Ｏに嵌入するようにスライドすると、縦リブ４４ａ、４５ａが口壁２２、２３に衝合せしめられる。この際、縦リブ４４ａ、４５ａの上端が係止部２６ａ、２７ａを乗り越えて嵌合される。尚、蓋板１５を閉じたとき、着脱取付部材４０の板体４１の外面は、折曲壁２３ａ及び補助壁３８と面一に配置される。

ケース本体１４は、図５に示すように、底壁２１を底部とする収納室Ｓ１を形成する。該収納室Ｓ１は、着脱取付部材４０の機能部４２ｂと底壁２１との間の高さ寸法ｈ１と、一対の側壁１９、２０の間の内法寸法から着脱取付部材４０の規制ガイド部４６を除いた寸法に対応する幅寸法ｗ１とにより規定されたほぼ矩形の空間を表壁１８の上に形成する。図示実施形態の場合は、規制ガイド部４６が背壁１６の側の側壁１９に臨んで配置されており、反対側の側壁２０の内側に支持壁２９が形成されているので、左右を規制ガイド部４６と支持壁２９により拘束された幅寸法を収納室Ｓ１の幅寸法ｗ１としている。

収納室Ｓ１の高さ寸法ｈ１及び幅寸法ｗ１は、図６に示すように、裸とされたカセット１の高さ寸法Ｈ１及び幅寸法Ｗ１とほぼ等しく形成されており、従って、蓋板１５を開いた状態で、ケース本体１４の収納室Ｓ１に対して裸状態のカセット１がピッタリと収納される。カセット１は、収納室Ｓ１に向けて落とし込むことにより収納できるが、この際、底壁２１の近傍においてガイドリブ３２の斜面３２ａに案内されながら姿勢を制御され、図６に示すように、収納室Ｓ１にピッタリとフィットされる。図示実施形態の場合、この収納状態において、カセット１は、高さＨ１の方向に関しては底壁２１と制御部４３により遊動しないように固定され、幅Ｗ１の方向に関しては対角線上に位置する支持壁２９と規制ガイド部４６により遊動しないように固定される。

カセット１を収納した後、蓋板１５を閉じることにより、販売用ケース１３Ａが完成し、この状態で販売される。

（スリーブケース付きカセットのためのレンタル用ケースとしての使用形態）
図７及び図８に示すように、着脱取付部材４０を開口部Ｏから取外すことによりケース本体１４の開口部Ｏを開口せしめると共に、着脱取付部材４０の機能部４２ｂを開口部Ｏに向かわせた姿勢として支持壁２８、２９に搭載したとき、外装ケース１３は、スリーブケース２に収納されたカセット１のためのレンタル用ケース１３Ｂとして使用される。即ち、着脱取付部材４０は、図５及び図６に示した姿勢から反転されている。蓋板１５を開いた状態で、着脱取付部材４０の機能部４２ｂを開口部Ｏに向かわしめると共に、保持溝４４ｂ、４５ｂを側壁２０、１９に嵌合し、着脱取付部材４０を板体４１が底壁２１に近接するようにスライドすると、板体４１の両端部が支持壁２８、２９の座壁２８ｂ、２９ｂに衝合せしめられる。

ケース本体１４は、図７に示すように、着脱取付部材４０の制御部４３を底部とする収納室Ｓ２を形成し、該収納室Ｓ２は、一対の側壁１９、２０の間の内法寸法から着脱取付部材４０の規制ガイド部４６を除いた寸法に対応する幅寸法ｗ２により規定された空間を表壁１８の上に形成する。尚、開口部Ｏを開口せしめられているので、収納室Ｓ２の高さ寸法は制限されていない。

収納室Ｓ２の幅寸法ｗ２は、図８（Ａ）に示すように、カセット１を収納したスリーブケース２の幅寸法Ｗ２とほぼ等しく形成されており、従って、蓋板１５を閉じることにより形成されたレンタル用ケース１３Ｂに挿入したとき、底部の部分において収納室Ｓ２にピッタリと収納される。カセット１を収納したスリーブケース２を開口部Ｏから挿入する際、開口部Ｏはスリーブケース２の幅寸法Ｗ２よりも広口に形成されているが、カセット１を収納したスリーブケース２を無造作に開口部Ｏから底部の着脱取付部材４０に向けて挿入すれば、図８（Ｂ）に示すように、カセット１を収納したスリーブケース２は、規制ガイド部４６のガイド斜面により制御部４３に向けて案内され、収納室Ｓ２にフィットされるので、収納室Ｓ２の内部で遊動しないように固定される。

レンタル用ケース１３Ｂに収納した状態で、カセット１を収納したスリーブケース２は、開口部Ｏを越える高さ寸法Ｈ２とされているので、突出寸法Ｔ２だけ開口部Ｏから突出される。従って、この状態で、レンタルに供される。
