このような従来の電気掃除機にあっては、集塵室3を覆う蓋4を開く為の把手部又は手穴5を前記蓋4の外観部に形成する必要があるため外観の見栄えを損ない、更に金型加工が複雑でありコストがかかるという問題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために本発明は、電動送風機と、前記電動送風機に連通する集塵室を内包した本体と、前記本体の上部に回動自在に軸支され前記集塵室を開閉する蓋と、前記本体の上部に同じく回動自在に軸支され本体持ち運び用となる把手と、前記蓋に設けられた第1の係合部と、前記把手に設けられた第2の係合部とを備え、前記把手の回動と前記蓋の開閉動作を連動させ、前記把手を本体持ち運び時の略直立位置まで回動させた時、前記第1の係合部と第2の係合部とが当接しないようにすると共に、前記把手を本体持ち運び時の略直立位置よりも更に回動させた時、前記第1の係合部と第2の係合部とが当接して、前記蓋が開くようにしたもので、本体持ち運び用の大きな把手を操作することにより前記蓋を開くことができるため使用性が向上し、更に前記蓋に開閉用の把手部又は手穴を設ける必要がなくなるので外観の見栄えの向上及び金型加工費の削減ができるものである。また、本体持ち運び時には前記蓋は開かず、前記把手を本体持ち運び時の略直立位置 よりも更に回動させることで前記蓋を開くことができるため使用性が向上する。
