従来、ガスメータの内蔵電池の電圧が低下して、異常使用状態時にガス流路を遮断する遮断弁を復帰できなくなるのを防止する構成を有するガスメータがある。このようなガスメータについては、たとえば、特開平8−62015号公報に開示されている。

図4は、このような従来のガスメータの非常電源接続装置の配線を示す説明図である。図4においては、常設の電池22の電圧が低下して遮断弁11の復帰ができなくなった事故時には、外部から市販の乾電池による予備電池18を端子24,25に接続する。こうして、予備電池18を電池22に並列接続した状態で弁復帰スイッチ6を操作し、CPU16を介して遮断弁11を復帰させる。CPU16は予備電池18で作動して、ガス流量の異常を検知すると遮断弁11を閉じる。端子台19の端子26などはCPU16に接続されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、図5のガスメータでは、次のような問題点がある。
(1)非常用電源として専用の電池ボックス30を常備する必要がある。
(2)非常用電源を接続するための一対の端子24,25は、ガスメータの端子台19の他の端子と同一形状となっているため、正常時、非常用電源を接続する端子24,25に他の機器を誤接続して機器を破損するおそれがある。
(3)端子24,25は、プラスねじ形状となっているため、リード線30a、30bの接続作業において、ドライバーなどの工具が必要となり、作業に時間がかかる。

上記課題を解決するためになされた請求項1記載の発明は、内蔵電池で動作するガスメータであって、該ガスメータの端子台に、該内蔵電池の電圧低下時に非常用電源を接続するための接続手段として、携帯電話の外部接続端子と同一形状を有するコネクタを備えたことを特徴とするガスメータの非常電源接続装置に存する。
