Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a weather strip that is attached to a sliding rear door of an automobile and seals between the rear door and the front door.
[0002]
[Prior art]
This will be described with reference to FIGS. As a weather strip that is attached to the inner side of the front door side of the electric or manual sliding rear door 2 and secures the sealing performance between the rear door 2 and the front door 1, generally a compression type having a hollow seal portion 21. The weatherstrip 20 is used. Since the front door 1 is a pivoting type and the rear door 2 is a sliding type, the opening / closing direction D of the front door and the opening / closing direction d of the rear door 2 are different, but this type of weatherstrip 20 is different from the bending type and is two different. It is because it can respond to the opening and closing directions D and d.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the compression-type weather strip 20 including the hollow seal portion 21 has a point to be improved. In this type of weather strip 20, the load (reaction force) applied to the front door 1 from the weather strip 20 when the front door 1 is closed and the rear door 2 from the weather strip 20 to the sliding door 2 are closed. Unlike the applied load, for example, the rear door 2 can be closed with a light force, while the front door 1 requires a larger force, or vice versa, the front door 1 can be closed with a light force. The rear door 2 requires a great force and has a problem that the door closing property is poor.
[0004]
Further, in this compression-type weather strip 20, when the rear door 2 is opened with the front door 1 closed, the friction resistance between the hollow seal portion 21 and the front door 1 is large, so that the weather strip 20 is There was a concern that the weather strip would tilt from 2 and the weather strip might come off the rear door 2 in some cases (see FIG. 5).
[0005]
The present invention has been devised in view of these problems, and is a slide-type weather strip for a sliding rear door that has excellent door closing properties and that does not cause rolling when the rear door 2 is opened with the front door 1 closed. The issue is to provide.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
This will be described with reference to FIGS. 1, 2 and 6 to 8. A weather strip 10 for a sliding rear door according to the present invention includes a grip portion 11 having a substantially U-shaped cross section assembled to a flange 2a projecting from a vehicle inner side P on the front door side of the slide rear door 2, and a vehicle having the grip portion 11. A compression-type weather strip that includes a hollow seal portion 13 integrally formed on the outer side Q and elastically contacts a front side wall 13a of the hollow seal portion 13 with the front door 1 to seal between the rear door 2 and the front door 1. The hollow seal portion 13 includes a front side wall 13a, a rear side wall 13b, and a vehicle outer side wall 13c that is a portion between the front side wall 13a and the rear side wall 13b. In addition, the rear side wall 13b is formed along the rear door 2 from the opening side of the grip portion 11. Then, the bridge 14 has a vehicle outer side starting end extending from a substantially central portion of the outer side wall 13c of the hollow seal portion 13 to a boundary portion with the rear side wall 13b or from a substantially central portion of the rear side wall 13b. When the rear door 2 is opened with the front door 1 closed with the other end connected to the vehicle outer side portion 11a of the grip portion 11 and connected to the boundary portion with 13c. In this configuration, no rolling occurs and the rear door 2 does not come off .
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of a weather strip 10 for a sliding rear door according to the present invention is shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 6 to 8. The weather strip 10 is a so-called compression type, and includes a grip portion 11 having a substantially U-shaped cross section that is assembled to a flange 2a projecting from the vehicle interior P on the front door side of the sliding rear door 2, and a vehicle exterior Q of the grip portion 11. And a hollow seal portion 13 formed integrally with the hollow seal portion 13. Further, the front side wall 13 a of the hollow seal portion 13 is elastically contacted with the front door 1 to seal between the rear door 2 and the front door 1.
[0008]
A bridge 14 is erected from the vehicle outer wall 13 c, which is a portion between the front side wall 13 a and the rear side wall 13 b of the hollow seal portion 13, to the vehicle outer side portion 11 a of the grip portion 11. In the present embodiment, a cored bar 12 is embedded in the gripping part 11, and a plurality of lip parts 11b are projected.
[0009]
In the automobile to which the weather strip 10 according to the present embodiment is attached, the front door 1 is a rotary type and the rear door 2 is an electric slide type. As shown in FIG. 6, a parting seal 17 is attached to the vehicle outer side Q of the rear door 2 on the front door side, so that the vehicle inner side P and the vehicle outer side Q are provided between the front door 1 and the rear door 2. Both are sealed. A center pillar is not provided between the front door 1 and the rear door 2. In FIG. 6 , reference numeral 18 denotes a front door glass, and 19 denotes a rear door glass.
[0010]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventor made trials of weather strips having various shapes and repeated experiments. As a result, the weather strip 10 constructed with the bridge 14 according to the present invention has the best door closing performance of the front door 1 and the sliding rear door 2 and when the rear door 2 is opened with the front door 1 closed. It was confirmed that there was no falling and there was no fear of slipping.
[0011]
The reason why the weather strip 10 for rear doors of the present invention is excellent in door closing performance is that the rigidity of the hollow seal portion 13 is moderately increased by installing the bridge 14, and the front door 1 is closed when the front door 1 is closed. It is considered that this is because the difference between the load applied from the portion 13 and the load applied to the rear door 2 from the hollow seal portion 13 when the rear door 2 is closed is reduced and becomes substantially equal.
[0012]
Further, when the rear door 2 is opened with the front door 1 closed, there is no risk of falling and there is no fear of disengagement. The bridge 14 is provided so that both the front door 1 and the rear door 2 are closed. Thus, unlike the prior art, the vehicle inner side of the front side wall 13a of the hollow seal portion 13 does not greatly bite into the vehicle inner side of the front door 1 and elastically contact with a wide width. Therefore, when the rear door 2 is opened, the hollow seal portion This is considered to be because the frictional resistance between the front side wall 13a of 13 and the front door 1 is reduced. This can be understood by comparing the biting length Lb and the elastic contact width Wb of the prior art shown in FIG. 5 with the biting length La and the elastic contact width Wa of the present invention shown in FIG.
[0013]
Incidentally, in addition to the weather strip 10 of the present invention, for example, as shown in FIG. 9, an open portion 15 is formed by opening the rear portion of the hollow seal portion 13, and the rear portion of the hollow seal portion 13 as shown in FIG. An experiment was carried out by making a prototype of the thick part 16 formed by thickening. As a result, the problem shown in FIG. 9 is the same as that of the conventional weather strip, and the problem cannot be solved. In addition, although the results shown in FIG. 10 were able to obtain good results equivalent to those of the present invention, there is a slight problem in terms of productivity and material cost because the thick portion 16 needs to be formed.
[0014]
When the vehicle outer side start end of the bridge 14 is moved closer to the front side wall 13a side beyond the substantially central portion of the vehicle outer side wall 13c , the force that the door receives from the hollow seal portion 13 when the front door 1 and the rear door 2 are closed is the same. This is not preferable because it increases and the door is difficult to close.
[0015]
On the other hand, when the vehicle outer side start end of the bridge 14 is moved closer to the substantially central side of the rear side wall 13b beyond the boundary between the rear side wall 13b and the outer side wall 13c , the rear door 2 is opened with the front door 1 closed. In this case, it is not preferable because falling easily occurs.
[0016]
In the embodiment of the present invention, a rear wall 13b and the front side wall 13a, but did not otherwise specified on the material of the exterior side wall 13c and the bridge 14, the front wall 13a, rear wall 13b, exterior wall 13c, All four of the bridges 14 may be made of sponge rubber, but if necessary, either one or both of the rear side wall 13b and the bridge 14 are made of solid rubber to improve the rigidity of the hollow portion. You may do it.
[0017]
【The invention's effect】
In the slide-type rear door weather strip 10 according to the present invention, the bridge 14 is constructed from the vehicle outer side wall 13c of the hollow seal portion 13 to the vehicle outer side portion 11a of the gripping portion 11, so that the rigidity of the hollow seal portion 13 is moderately improved. The force applied from the hollow seal portion 13 to the front door 1 when the front door 1 is closed is substantially equal to the force applied from the hollow seal portion 13 to the rear door 2 when the rear door 2 is closed. be able to. Therefore, the front door 1 and the rear door 2 can be easily closed with the same level of force.
[0018]
Further, by providing the bridge 14, the front side wall 13a of the hollow seal portion 13a prevents the vehicle inner side P from entering the vehicle inner side P of the front door 1 with both the front door 1 and the rear door 2 closed. Therefore, the frictional resistance between the front side wall 13a of the hollow seal portion 13 and the front door 1 when the rear door 2 is opened can be reduced. Accordingly, when the rear door 2 is opened with the front door 1 closed, the weather strip 10 does not fall and does not come off the rear door 2.
