Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for producing an excrement treating agent for pets such as cats and dogs. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing an excrement treating agent that contains a fragrance and deodorizes bad odor when it comes into contact with pet excrement such as urine and masks the odor for a long time.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Many of conventional disposable pet excrement treating agents (pet litter for pets) use mineral materials such as bentonite or cellulose materials such as wood powder and paper powder. These pet excrement treating agents have a poor deodorizing effect, and as they are, the pet's excrement is released with bad odor, so mixing and spraying with fragrances and deodorizing agents can reduce the deodorizing effect and odor. Attempts have been made to add a masking effect.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the pet excrement treating agent mixed and sprayed with a conventional fragrance and deodorant has a low deodorizing effect, and it is difficult to obtain an appropriate masking effect by the fragrance. In addition, there is a problem that the effect of the fragrance decreases with time and cannot be maintained for a long time.
On the other hand, there is coloring as one of the means for adding value to the excrement disposal agent for pets, and development of a method capable of vividly coloring the treatment agent containing the above fragrance has been desired.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies in view of the above problems, the present inventors have found that porous natural granular zeolite is impregnated with an alcohol-soluble fragrance made into an alcohol solution having a carbon number of 2 or less, and then dried and supported. It was found that a treatment agent that exhibits a high deodorizing effect and a moderate fragrance effect when it comes into contact with the excrement of the product and masks malodor for a long time can be obtained. Furthermore, when impregnated with an aqueous solution of a water-soluble colorant prior to impregnation with the above-described fragrance, an excrement treating agent having a vivid color and having an odor masking effect having a high deodorizing effect and excellent durability is obtained. I found that I can do it. The present invention has been made based on this finding.
That is, the present invention is dressed colorant mixture with an aqueous solution and particulate zeolite, kneaded, after this mixture, kneaded was further mixed with fragrance solution with 2 ppm alcohol having a carbon number in a solvent, impregnated by kneading, drying is to provide a manufacturing how pet excreta treating agent characterized.
[0005]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The pet excreta treating agent produced in the present invention comprises a granular zeolite as a base material on which a fragrance is supported. Zeolite has a high ammonia deodorizing ability among minerals used as porous materials. In addition, natural zeolite granules can be preferably used because they can be obtained easily and inexpensively. In the present invention, a mixture of other porous granular minerals (for example, bentonite, silica gel, sepiolite, attapulgite, etc.) can be used as granular zeolite within a range that does not impair the effects of the present invention. Preferably 50% by weight or more of the total weight of the other granular minerals is zeolite.
In the present invention, the granular zeolite is preferably 90% by weight or more having a particle size of 0.5 to 1.68 mm, more preferably 1.0 to 1.5 mm. If the particle size is too large, the entire surface area becomes small, so that the deodorizing power may be lowered or the water absorbing power may be deteriorated. If it is too small, the treatment agent is likely to scatter when the animal is dug up or discarded. It is good also as said particle size by crushing, granulation, etc. The method of crushing and granulating in this case is not particularly limited, and can be performed by a usual method. The shape of the zeolite particles is not particularly limited, but is preferably a crushed product.
[0006]
The pet excreta treating agent produced according to the present invention is obtained by supporting a fragrance on the granular zeolite. The fragrance is not particularly limited as long as it is soluble in alcohol and has a fragrance effect, and a commercially available fragrance using an ester compound can be used.
The above fragrance can be supported by impregnating a granular zeolite with an alcohol solution of the fragrance and then drying. In the present invention, alcohol having 2 or less carbon atoms is used as the alcohol as the solvent of the solution. As alcohol, in addition to methanol and ethanol, glycol having 2 or less carbon atoms can be used, and methanol or ethanol is preferable. It is preferable to use an ethanol solution from the viewpoint of handling and safety of workers during production. The amount of the fragrance used is preferably 0.05 to 1.0% by weight, more preferably 0.1 to 0.5% by weight, based on the weight of the particulate zeolite (dry weight, hereinafter the same). If there is too little fragrance, sufficient fragrance effect will not be obtained, and if it is too much, it will give off fragrance before containing water, causing pets to hate use or discomforting the surrounding people. There is. The amount of alcohol used is preferably 10 to 40% by weight, more preferably 20 to 30% by weight, based on the granular zeolite. By making the solvent of the fragrance solution an alcohol having 2 or less carbon atoms, the fragrance in the solution can be favorably adsorbed on the granular zeolite.
[0007]
In the present invention, the alcohol solution of the fragrance is impregnated by mixing and kneading with granular zeolite. Kneading is carried out by adjusting the number of revolutions of the kneading apparatus so that the zeolite particles do not collapse and are well dispersed. Examples of the kneader include a kneader, an Eirich mixer, a Spartan Luther (trade name), a ribbon mixer, and an artificial manual.
[0008]
In the present invention, coloring can be performed using an aqueous solution of a coloring agent. The colorant is not particularly limited as long as it is water-soluble. The amount of the colorant used is preferably 0.01 to 0.2% by weight, more preferably 0.03 to 0.1% by weight, based on the granular zeolite. If the amount of the coloring agent used is too small, coloring may be sparse, and if it is too much, problems such as coloring pet hair may occur. The amount of water when making the colorant an aqueous solution is preferably 5 to 30% by weight, more preferably 10 to 20% by weight, based on the granular zeolite. In order to disperse the granular zeolite well, it is preferable that the total amount of alcohol and water as a solvent for the fragrance is 20% by weight or more based on the granular zeolite. Moreover, in order to improve an aroma effect and to color in a vivid color, it is preferable to adjust so that it may use less alcohol and more alcohol in said preferable usage-amount.
The aqueous colorant solution is preferably mixed and kneaded with granular zeolite in advance, and this mixed kneaded product is further mixed and kneaded with the fragrance solution. Mixing and kneading of the colorant aqueous solution and the granular zeolite can be performed in the same manner as the mixing and kneading of the above fragrance solution. When the fragrance solution is mixed and kneaded after using the aqueous colorant solution in the method of the present invention, the treatment agent can be colored without desorbing the fragrance component adsorbed on the granular zeolite.
[0009]
In the present invention, in addition to the above-mentioned fragrances and colorants, those usually added to pet excrement treating agents such as preservatives and antibacterial agents can be used as necessary. These can be added to a fragrance solution or a colorant solution, or mixed and sprayed separately depending on the type and properties thereof.
[0010]
Drying after the impregnation can be performed in a short time by using alcohol, and is usually performed at 80 to 150 ° C. for 5 to 20 minutes until no alcohol odor is felt. Further, when an aqueous colorant solution is used, it is preferably dried until the water content becomes 10% by weight or less. In the present invention, the drying can be completed in a short time, so that the manufacturing cost can be reduced. Drying can be performed by using a dryer such as a fluidized bed dryer, a rotary dryer or a midget dryer, or by air drying.
[0011]

[0017]
Test Examples The following tests were conducted on the pet excrement treating agents obtained in the above examples, comparative examples, and reference examples, and the deodorizing power and odor masking effect were evaluated.
(1) Deodorizing power A 100 g sample of a pet excreta treating agent is filled in a 2000 ml sample bottle, and 1 ml of 1.4 W / W% ammonia water is dropped as a bad odor source and left at room temperature for 20 minutes. The residual concentration of ammonia in the gas in the sample bottle was measured with a gas detector tube GASTEC (trade name).
(2) Odor masking effect Each sample after the above deodorizing ability test was used, and the odor after 20 minutes (immediately after the deodorizing ability test), 12 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours was evaluated by the following criteria. .
A: Only a moderate aromatic odor is felt.
○: No ammonia odor (or alcohol odor) is felt, but the aromatic odor is weak.
Δ: Ammonia odor (or alcohol odor) and aromatic odor are felt.
X: Only ammonia odor (or alcohol odor) is felt.
[0018]
The results are shown in Table 1.
[0019]
[Table 1]
Figure 0003838802
[0020]
As is clear from the results in Table 1, each sample of Example 1 is excellent in both deodorizing power and odor masking effect, and also has high durability of the odor masking effect.
On the other hand, in the samples of Comparative Examples 1 to 3 in which a fragrance was supported using an alcohol having 3 or more carbon atoms as a solvent, the alcohol odor was strong, and the alcohol odor became stronger as the carbon number of the alcohol used was larger. An aromatic odor could not be felt. From this result, in the fragrance solution using alcohol having a large number of carbons as a solvent, the alcohol component is more easily adsorbed than the fragrance. However, in the present invention, the use of the alcohol having 2 or less carbon atoms gives priority to the fragrance. It turns out that it is adsorbed. In Comparative Examples 4 to 6 using granular minerals other than zeolite, the deodorizing power was low, so that the masking effect of the fragrance was not obtained.
Moreover, in the comparative example 7 which does not use alcohol, a fragrance | flavor is not fully impregnated and carry | supported, and the effect of a fragrance and masking is not enough. In Reference Example 3 in which the drying step was omitted, the alcohol odor was strong immediately after the production due to the remaining alcohol, but the same effect as Example 1 was exhibited 48 hours after the alcohol volatilized over time.
In addition, as compared with Example 1 kneaded with the colorant aqueous solution and then kneaded with the fragrance solution, Comparative Example 8 in which the fragrance solution was previously kneaded was slightly inferior in the odor masking effect and its sustainability. . In Example 1 , it is considered that the aromatic agent adsorbed on the granular zeolite could be colored without being desorbed by using the aromatic agent solution after mixing and kneading with the aqueous colorant solution.

【The invention's effect】
The pet excreta treating agent obtained by the present invention has a high deodorizing power and an appropriate fragrance action, and the odor masking effect by the fragrance lasts for a long time. For this reason, according to this invention, the excrement processing agent for pets which can be used comfortably without generating the malodor of pet excrement for a long period of time can be provided. Moreover, according to the manufacturing method of this invention, the excrement disposal agent for pets colored in the vivid color can be manufactured, without reducing the deodorizing power and the odor masking effect, and its sustainability.
