パネル1は、その材質、構造を任意とし、パネル本体2の端面に接合する基面3aの両縁に縁片3b,3bを折曲して断面コの字状に形成した端面レール3を、パネル本体2端部に被着してビス止め等により固着させ、パネル1の前後面の縁沿いに縁取り(3b)を形成させた構成としてある。
端面レール3は、アルミニウム、プラスチック等任意材質として成形し、図2に示す如く、基面3aの外側面に一対のアンダーカット状の係止部3c,3c(図示の断面T字状係止部、その他の膨頭状係止部)を長手方向に沿って突設し、この一対係止部の対向する内側は、対向状に溝部を形成して、縁材4乃至5の凸状の係合部をスライド係合可能となしたスライド係止部3dとなし、一対係止部の対向する外側は、外向き対向状に溝部を形成すると共に、縁材4乃至5の凸状の係合部を端面外方から圧嵌しやすいように外側を平坦乃至円弧状等の適宜傾斜面で切欠した圧嵌係止部3eとなしてある。

この端面レール3には、図3,4に示す如き係合部を有するプラスチック、ゴム、アルミニウム等任意材質で適宜用途の縁材を着脱可能に固定することができる。
図3(A),(B)はスライド係合部4aを有した縁材4、(C),(D)は圧嵌係合部5aを有した縁材5の例を示してある。
縁材4は、スライド係止部3dの対向溝部にスライド係合する凸条4bを有してスライド係合部4a,4aをそれぞれ形成し、これらは好ましくはスライド係止部3dを抱持する係合部状態として設け、この係合部の端面外側にパネル回転枢軸となる軸受孔4cを一体に連設し、これらを囲ってパネル本体端部を化粧仕上げ状態に納める外観の外周面4dを一体に形成してなっている。
なお、スライド係止部3dの前後側であって外周面4dの基部(パネル本体側)付近にはヒンジ部材の係止部4eを形成してもよい。
上記縁材4は、パネル本体端面に固着してある端面レール3の端部から、スライド係合部4a,4aをスライド係止部3d,3dに係合させつつ、長手方向にスライド嵌合し、パネル本体の所定部位に設置することができる。

縁材5は、圧嵌係止部3e,3eの外向き対向溝部に圧嵌しやすいように、凸部の先端部分を傾斜面乃至曲面となして圧嵌係合部5aをそれぞれ形成し、これら圧嵌係合部5aは、パネル本体端部を化粧仕上げ状態に納める外観の外周面5bの基部を内側に対向状に折曲して形成してある。
上記縁材5は、パネル本体端面の外方から端面に向かって押圧するようにして、圧嵌係合部5a,5aを圧嵌係止部3e,3eに嵌合させれば、圧嵌係合部5aが前後方向の応力を受け、外周面5bの基部付近が若干変形して後、圧嵌係止部3eに嵌まり込むことができる。
圧嵌係止部3e乃至圧嵌係合部5aの当接し合う部分は、少なくともいずれか一方、好ましくは両方の面部分を上記変形が誘導されやすい傾斜面乃至曲面として形成するのがよい。
