しかしながら、上記従来の電気湯沸かし器では、浄化剤55を多孔体で覆うための2部品から構成されたケ−ス56を容器51内に嵌着するために、底が開放したほぼ矩形の箱57内が必要であった。つまり、浄化剤55を容器51内に設置するためには、3部品が必要であるため、コスト高になるといった課題があった。
