技術分野
本発明は、副流煙量が低減されたシガレットに係り、特に内側巻紙と、外側巻紙により巻装されたシガレットに関する。
背景技術
シガレットの副流煙を低減させるために種々の技術が提案されている。例えば、日本国特許第2572488号明細書には、1〜5コレスタ単位の通気度を有し、かつ1〜8重量%の填料(例えば、炭酸カルシウム)を含有する内側巻紙と、35〜65g/m2の坪量を有し、かつ18〜40重量%の填料(例えば、炭酸カルシウム)を含有する外側巻紙により巻装されたシガレットが開示されている。また、日本国特開平6−7142号公報には、マグネシウム含有充填物質を含む内側巻紙と、アルカリ金属イオン、アルカリ土類金属イオン、無機アニオンおよび有機アニオンからなる添加剤パッケージを含む外側巻紙により巻装されたシガレットが開示されている。
しかしながら、上記従来のシガレットは、いずれも燃焼速度が遅く、従って単位時間当りの副流煙量は少ないが、1本当りの副流煙量は多いという問題があることがわかった。
従って、本発明は、単位時間当りの副流煙量が少ないばかりでなく、1本当たりの副流煙量も少ないシガレットを提供することを目的とする。
発明の開示
本発明は、フィルターの付設やタバコ充填材(タバコ刻み等)に対する改善技術によることなく、シガレットを巻装する巻紙自体について研究した結果、上記目的を達成したものである。
すなわち、本発明によれば、炭酸カルシウム含有率が4重量%未満の内側巻紙と、炭酸カルシウムを30g/m2以上の量で含有し、かつ燃焼調節剤を3重量%以上の量で含む外側巻紙により巻装されたタバコ充填材ロッドを含むタバコ部を備えることを特徴とするシガレットが提供される。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
以下、本発明をより詳しく説明する。
本発明のシガレットは、所定の内側巻紙と所定の外側巻紙により巻装されたタバコ充填材ロッドを含むタバコ部を備えるものである。このタバコ部の一端に通常のフィルターを付設することもできる。
本発明のタバコ充填材ロッドを巻装する巻紙の内、内側巻紙は炭酸カルシウム含有率が4重量%未満であり、実質的に炭酸カルシウムを含まないものである。内側巻紙が4重量%以上の量で炭酸カルシウムを含有すると、得られるシガレットの燃焼速度が速くなり過ぎ、単位時間当りの副流煙量が有意に低減しない。内側巻紙は、炭酸カルシウムを含有しないことが好ましい。
内側巻紙を構成するパルプは、亜麻パルプ等通常の喫煙物品用巻紙に使用されるパルプであればどのようなものでも使用することができる。パルプ量は、10〜18g/m2であることが好ましい。パルプ量が10g/m2未満であると、巻紙の安定な製造が困難となる傾向にあり、18g/m2を超えると、シガレットの喫味が好ましくないものとなる傾向にある。
内側巻紙は、その通気度が低いほど、得られるシガレットの時間当りの副流煙量が低下する。内側巻紙の通気度は、1〜30コレスタ単位(CU)であることが好ましく、6CU〜30CUであることがより好ましい。
内側巻紙は、燃焼調節剤を含有することができるが、その量は1重量%まで(0〜1重量%)であることが好ましい。燃焼調節剤の量が1重量%を超えると、得られるシガレットが、以下述べる好ましい燃焼速度6mm/分以上を維持し得ない傾向を示す。
内側巻紙に添加する燃焼調節剤は、クエン酸ナトリウム、クエン酸カリウム、酢酸ナトリウム、酢酸カリウム、酒石酸ナトリウム、酒石酸カリウム、リンゴ酸ナトリウム、リンゴ酸カリウム、コハク酸ナトリウム、コハク酸カリウム等の有機酸のアルカリ金属塩の中から選ぶことができる。
本発明に使用される外側巻紙は、炭酸カルシウムを30g/m2以上の量で含有し、かつ燃焼調節剤を3重量%以上の量で含む。炭酸カルシウムの量が30g/m2未満の場合、および/または燃焼調節剤の割合が3重量%未満の場合には、副流煙量の低減効果が十分に発揮されない。好ましくは、炭酸カルシウムは、30g/m2以上、50g/m2以下の量で配合され、燃焼調節剤は、巻紙中に3〜15重量%の割合で配合される。
外側巻紙に使用される燃焼調節剤は、クエン酸アルカリ金属塩が好ましく用いられ、特に好ましくは、クエン酸カリウムおよびクエン酸ナトリウムであり、これらは単独で、または組み合わせて用いることができる。
外側巻紙を構成するパルプは、内側巻紙を構成するパルプと同様のパルプを使用することができる。パルプの量は、好ましくは20〜50g/m2である。
また、外側巻紙は、50g/m2〜100g/m2の坪量を有することが好ましい。
本発明において、炭酸カルシウムは、粒子の形態で添加され、その粒径は、コスト、抄紙のしやすさの観点から適宜選ぶことができるが、0.02μm〜10μmであることが好ましい。
本発明の内側巻紙と外側巻紙により二重に巻装されたタバコ部を有するシガレットは、単位時間当りの副流煙量が少なくなるばかりでなく、1本当たりの副流煙量も少なくなる。比較的多量の炭酸カルシウムを含有する外側巻紙は、燃焼性が高いものであり、炭酸カルシウムを実質的に含有しない内側巻紙を組み合わせた場合に、外側巻紙単独の場合よりも燃焼速度は遅くなり、単位時間当りの副流煙量が低下するとともに、1本当たりの副流煙量もまた有意に低下する。本発明のシガレットの燃焼速度は、約6mm/分以上であることが好ましく、7mm/分以上であることがより好ましい。このような燃焼速度は、上に述べたように、内側巻紙の燃焼調節剤含有量を0〜1重量%とすることにより達成することができる。本発明のシガレットの燃焼速度は、通常、約12mm/分までである。なお、シガレットの燃焼速度は、通常のフィッシュテール法により測定することができる。
以下、本発明を実施例により説明するが、本発明はそれらに限定されるものではない。
実施例1〜4、比較例1〜3
以下の構成のシガレットを作製した。
<シガレットの仕様>
サイズ:FSKスリム(円周22.9mm、タバコ部長さ68mm、フィルター長さ30mm、チップペーパー長さ37mm)
刻み:アメリカン・ブレンド、0.565g/本
<外側巻紙の仕様>
パルプ量:30g/m2
炭酸カルシウム量:30g/m2
クエン酸塩量:4.5重量%
<内側巻紙の仕様>
下記表1に記載の通り。
各シガレットについて、フィッシュテール法により副流煙量(全粒状物質)を燃焼速度とともに求め(燃焼長58mm)、単位時間当たりの副流煙量(mg/分)、およびシガレット1本当りの副流煙量(mg/本)を算出した。結果を表1に併記する。
表1に記載された結果からわかるように、本発明のシガレットは、いずれも、単位時間当りの副流煙量と1本当たりの副流煙量が有意に低下している。特に、本発明のシガレットは、外側巻紙だけで巻装したシガレット(比較例1)と比べて、単位時間当りの副流煙量と1本当たりの副流煙量が顕著に低下している。また、本発明のシガレットと比較例3−1〜3−4のシガレットを比較すると、内側巻紙の炭酸カルシウム含有量を4重量未満とすることにより単位時間当りの副流煙量と1本当たりの副流煙量が顕著に低下することがわかる。また、本発明のシガレットは、いずれも、ほぼ6mm/分以上の燃焼速度を示し、単位時間当りの副流煙量と1本当たりの副流煙量が有意に低下していることがわかる。
以上、本発明の種々の態様を説明したが、本発明はそれらの態様に限定されるものではない。いうまでもなく、上記種々の形態は適宜組み合わせることができる。
本発明によれば、単位時間当りの副流煙量が少ないばかりでなく、1本当たりの副流煙量も少ないシガレットが提供される。TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a cigarette with a reduced amount of sidestream smoke, and more particularly to an inner wrapping paper and a cigarette wound with an outer wrapping paper.
Various techniques have been proposed to reduce sidestream smoke from cigarettes. For example, Japanese Patent No. 2572488 describes an inner wrapping paper having an air permeability of 1 to 5 cholesterol units and containing 1 to 8% by weight filler (for example, calcium carbonate), 35 to 65 g / A cigarette wound with an outer wrapping paper having a basis weight of m 2 and containing 18-40% by weight filler (eg calcium carbonate) is disclosed. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-7142 discloses an inner wrapping paper containing a magnesium-containing filler and an outer wrapping paper containing an additive package made of alkali metal ions, alkaline earth metal ions, inorganic anions and organic anions. However, it has been found that all of the above conventional cigarettes have a problem that the burning speed is slow, and therefore the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time is small, but the amount of sidestream smoke per bottle is large.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a cigarette that not only has a small amount of sidestream smoke per unit time but also a small amount of sidestream smoke per unit.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention has achieved the above-mentioned object as a result of research on a wrapping paper itself around which cigarettes are wrapped, without using a filter or an improvement technique for tobacco fillers (such as tobacco cuts).
That is, according to the present invention, an inner wrapping paper having a calcium carbonate content of less than 4% by weight, an outer side containing calcium carbonate in an amount of 30 g / m 2 or more and containing a combustion regulator in an amount of 3% by weight or more. A cigarette is provided that includes a tobacco portion that includes a tobacco filler rod wrapped with a wrapping paper.
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail.
The cigarette of this invention is provided with the tobacco part containing the tobacco filler rod wound by the predetermined | prescribed inner wrapping paper and the predetermined | prescribed outer wrapping paper. A normal filter can be attached to one end of the tobacco portion.
Of the wrapping paper around which the tobacco filler rod of the present invention is wound, the inner wrapping paper has a calcium carbonate content of less than 4% by weight and substantially does not contain calcium carbonate. When the inner wrapping paper contains calcium carbonate in an amount of 4% by weight or more, the burning rate of the obtained cigarette becomes too fast, and the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time is not significantly reduced. The inner wrapping paper preferably does not contain calcium carbonate.
Any pulp can be used as the pulp constituting the inner wrapping paper as long as it is a pulp used in ordinary smoking article wrapping paper such as flax pulp. The pulp amount is preferably 10 to 18 g / m 2 . If the amount of pulp is less than 10 g / m 2 , stable production of the wrapping paper tends to be difficult, and if it exceeds 18 g / m 2 , the taste of cigarette tends to be unpreferable.
The lower the air permeability of the inner wrapping paper, the lower the amount of sidestream smoke per hour of the obtained cigarette. The air permeability of the inner wrapping paper is preferably 1 to 30 coresta units (CU), and more preferably 6 CU to 30 CU.
The inner wrapping paper can contain a combustion modifier, but the amount is preferably up to 1% by weight (0-1% by weight). When the amount of the combustion modifier exceeds 1% by weight, the obtained cigarette tends to be unable to maintain a preferable burning rate of 6 mm / min or more as described below.
Combustion modifiers added to the inner wrapping paper are organic citrates such as sodium citrate, potassium citrate, sodium acetate, potassium acetate, sodium tartrate, potassium tartrate, sodium malate, potassium malate, sodium succinate, and potassium succinate. You can choose from alkali metal salts.
The outer wrapping paper used in the present invention contains calcium carbonate in an amount of 30 g / m 2 or more and contains a combustion regulator in an amount of 3% by weight or more. When the amount of calcium carbonate is less than 30 g / m 2 and / or when the proportion of the combustion regulator is less than 3% by weight, the effect of reducing the sidestream smoke amount is not sufficiently exhibited. Preferably, the calcium carbonate is blended in an amount of 30 g / m 2 or more and 50 g / m 2 or less, and the combustion modifier is blended in a ratio of 3 to 15% by weight in the wrapping paper.
The combustion modifier used for the outer wrapping paper is preferably an alkali metal citrate, and particularly preferably potassium citrate and sodium citrate, which can be used alone or in combination.
The pulp which comprises an outer wrapping paper can use the pulp similar to the pulp which comprises an inner wrapping paper. The amount of pulp is preferably 20-50 g / m 2 .
The outer paper wrapper, preferably has a basis weight of 50g / m 2 ~100g / m 2 .
In the present invention, calcium carbonate is added in the form of particles, and the particle size can be appropriately selected from the viewpoint of cost and ease of papermaking, but is preferably 0.02 μm to 10 μm.
The cigarette having a cigarette portion that is wound twice by the inner wrapping paper and the outer wrapping paper of the present invention not only reduces the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time, but also reduces the amount of sidestream smoke per piece. The outer wrapping paper containing a relatively large amount of calcium carbonate is highly combustible, and when combined with the inner wrapping paper that does not substantially contain calcium carbonate, the burning rate is slower than that of the outer wrapping paper alone, As the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time decreases, the amount of sidestream smoke per bottle also decreases significantly. The burning rate of the cigarette of the present invention is preferably about 6 mm / min or more, and more preferably 7 mm / min or more. As described above, such a burning rate can be achieved by setting the content of the combustion regulator in the inner wrapping paper to 0 to 1% by weight. The burning rate of the cigarette of the present invention is usually up to about 12 mm / min. In addition, the burning rate of a cigarette can be measured by the normal fishtail method.

Examples 1-4, Comparative Examples 1-3
A cigarette having the following configuration was produced.

For each cigarette, the amount of sidestream smoke (whole particulate matter) is determined together with the combustion speed (combustion length 58 mm) by the fishtail method, the amount of sidestream smoke (mg / min) per unit time, and the sidestream per cigarette The amount of smoke (mg / tube) was calculated. The results are also shown in Table 1.
As can be seen from the results described in Table 1, in each of the cigarettes of the present invention, the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time and the amount of sidestream smoke per bottle are significantly reduced. In particular, in the cigarette of the present invention, the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time and the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time are significantly reduced as compared with a cigarette (Comparative Example 1) wound only by the outer wrapping paper. In addition, when the cigarette of the present invention and the cigarettes of Comparative Examples 3-1 to 3-4 are compared, the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time and per cigarette by making the calcium carbonate content of the inner wrapping paper less than 4 wt. It turns out that the amount of sidestream smoke falls notably. Moreover, all the cigarettes of this invention show a combustion speed of about 6 mm / min or more, and it turns out that the amount of sidestream smoke per unit time and the amount of sidestream smoke per one are falling significantly.
