【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、車両を載置する車両載置パレットにおいて、そのパレット上に形成される開口部を開閉する開閉扉の開閉機構に関する。

【従来の技術】
自動車組立ライン等においては、組付部品や車体の組付箇所等に対応して複数のコンベアに車体を移し替える場合がある。例えば、車体にサスペンション等の下廻り部品を組み付ける場合には、車体を吊り下げて搬送するオーバヘッドコンベア等が利用され、車体にドアやシート等を組み付ける場合には、例えば、車両をパレット上に載置して搬送するコンベア(パレットコンベア)等が利用されることが多い。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前記オーバヘッドコンベアから前記パレットコンベアに車両を移載する場合、つまり車両を下降させてパレットコンベアのパレットに載置させる場合、車体への衝撃を最小限にするべく、車体の底部を支持させながらパレット上に車両のタイヤを載置させる移載方法が望ましい。当該方法の一例としては、パレットに上下方向に貫通する開口部を設けると共に、パレットの下方に、前記開口部を貫通するように昇降自在であり、車体の底部を支持する車体支持部を備えた車体支持装置を設ける構成とし、前記車体支持部を上昇させて車体の底部を重量支持した後、車体支持部を下降させることにより車両のタイヤをパレットに載置させる。この場合、前記開口部には、車両が未載置の際、パレット上で作業する作業者の安全性を確保する目的で、通常時は開口部を閉じた状態とする開閉扉を設けることが望ましい。

本発明は、前記パレットに設けた開閉扉の開閉機構に関するものであり、部材点数が少なく、簡単な構造となり、また、経済的なパレットを構築し得る車両載置パレットにおける開閉扉の開閉機構を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は前記課題を解決するため、上下方向に貫通する開口部と、支軸を中心に回動して前記開口部を開閉する両開き式の一対の扉体からなる開閉扉とを有した、車両を載置する車両載置パレットと、この車両載置パレットの下方に設けられ、車体の底部を支持する車体支持部が前記開口部を貫通して昇降自在に構成される車体支持装置と、を備え、前記車体支持部には、前記開口部の前縁あるいは後縁に沿うように立設される基板部と、この基板部の左右の縁部にこの基板部の面と直交するように立設される一対のガイド板部と、このガイド板部の上部において、上方に向かうにしたがい互いが漸次近接するように傾斜状に形成される一対の傾斜部と、を備えた開閉フレームが固着され、前記開閉扉の下面にはガイドローラが回転自在に軸装され、前記車体支持部が上昇するとき、前記傾斜部およびガイド板部は前記ガイドローラと接触し、前記傾斜部が前記開閉扉を上方側に押し開き、前記ガイド板部が前記開閉扉の開いた状態を保持することを特徴とする車両載置パレットにおける開閉扉の開閉機構とした。当該構成により、部材点数の少ない、簡単な構造の開閉機構を実現できるため、パレットや開閉機構の組立作業が容易なものとなり、経済的なパレットを構築できる。また、当該構成により、簡単な構造の開閉機構で、車両載置パレットへの車両の移載工程等を構築できることとなる。

さらに、開閉扉を閉じる方向に付勢する付勢手段を備える構成とした。当該構成により開閉扉の閉動作を確実に行えるようになり、開閉機構の信頼性が向上する。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は車両載置パレットにおける開閉扉の開閉機構を示す概略平面図、図2は同概略側面図、図3はフリクションコンベアの概略構造を示す正面図、図4(a),(b)及び図5(c),(d)は車両の車両載置パレットへの移載方法を示す説明図、図6は車両載置パレットにおける開閉扉の開閉機構を示す平面説明図、図7は同側面説明図、図8は同正面説明図、図9は同概略斜視図(一部の構成部材は省略あるいは仮想線にて示す)である。

図1〜図3において、車両載置パレット(以降、単にパレットという)1は、例えば鋼材等の枠組の上部に縞鋼板等からなる板材の上面部1aを張った構造からなり、この上面部1aに車体FのタイヤTが載置される。パレット1は四輪自動車を組み立てる自動車組立ライン等において用いられるものであり、直列状に複数配することによりパレットコンベア(本形態ではフリクションコンベアFC)の一部として使用される。各パレット1は、互いの前後が接した状態において、図3に示すように、モータ61により回転駆動される駆動ローラ62から一側面に摩擦力を受け、他側面において複数のガイドローラ63にガイドされながら車輪64を介し、搬送レールR上を移動する。符号65(図1,図2)は前輪のタイヤTを固定するストッパ、符号66(図3)は車体Fが移載される際にパレット1を搬送レールR上に固定しておくパレット固定装置を示す。

車両のパレット1への移載方法の一例は次の通りである。図4(a)に示すように、オーバヘッドコンベアOCにより搬送されてきた車両において、ドロップリフタDLを上昇させてそのタイヤ支持部D1の部位にてタイヤTを載置させ(図4(b)の状態)、次いでオーバヘッドコンベアOCの係止部を解除して(図5(c)の状態)、ドロップリフタDLを所定位置まで下降させる。一方、後に詳述する車体支持装置21を駆動してその車体支持部22を上昇させておき、この車体支持部22にて下降してきた車体Fの底部を支持させる。この段階でドロップリフタDLのタイヤ支持部D1を横方向に移動させてタイヤTの支持を解放し(図5(d)の状態)、車体支持部22を下降させてタイヤTをパレット1上に載置する。

パレット1には、図1,図9等に示すように、前記車体支持装置21の車体支持部22を通過させるべく上下方向に貫通する開口部2が形成されていて、この開口部2には、車両が未載置の際、パレット1上における作業者の安全性を確保する目的で、通常は開口部2を閉じた状態とする開閉扉3が設けられている。本発明はこの開閉扉3の開閉機構に関するものであり、上下方向に貫通する開口部2と、支軸4を中心に回動して開口部2を開閉する開閉扉3とを有した、パレット1と、開閉扉3の下面側を押圧して上方側に開く押圧手段42と、開閉扉3の開いた状態を保持する保持手段43とを備えた構成からなるものである。本発明において、開閉扉3を開閉する工程としては、前記車体支持装置21を設けた場合に限られることなく、例えば、前記押圧手段42,保持手段43にて開閉扉3を開閉し、作業者が開口部2を介して作業を行う場合もあり得る。

パレット1において、開口部2は、図1に示すように、車両が載置された際に各前輪のタイヤTの後方寄り及び各後輪のタイヤTの前方寄りに位置するように計4孔として設けられていて、上面部1aにそれぞれ矩形状に切欠き形成されるものであり、それぞれに開閉扉3が設けられる。後に詳述する車体支持装置21の車体支持部22(サイドシル支持部22b)は、同図から判るように、後輪寄りの方が前輪寄りのそれよりも車両の全長方向において若干大きい寸法であり、これに合わせて後輪寄りに位置する開口部2および開閉扉3も車両の全長方向において前輪寄りの開口部2および開閉扉3よりも寸法が大きいものとなっている。この点を除き、各開閉扉3の構成は同一である。

本形態における開閉扉3は、図8,図9に示すように、車両の全長方向を軸方向とする支軸4を中心に回動する構成となっており、さらに開口部2の中央を境としてそれぞれ支軸4を中心に両開き(観音開き)となる左右一対の扉体3a,3aから構成されている。扉体3aは、上面部1aと同様の材質、例えば縞鋼板等からなる。

図6,図7に示すように、開口部2の前後の縁部における上面部1aの下面には、鋼材5,5が左右方向に沿って固着されており、この前後の鋼材5,5間にわたり、鋼材からなるブラケット6,6が図6,図8に示すように、左右一対として固着される。左右方向に関するブラケット6,6の位置は図6,図8からも判るように、それぞれ開口部2の左右の縁部よりも開口部2の中心寄りである。図9も参照して、各ブラケット6の上面には、前後に支軸スタンド7,7が固着されており、各支軸スタンド7には、前記したように、車両の全長方向を軸方向とする支軸4が固着されている。一方、各扉体3aの下面の前後には、支軸ブラケット8,8が固着されており、この支軸ブラケット8は支軸4に対し回動自在となるように軸装される。なお、支軸4は支軸ブラケット8側に固着させる構成としても良いし、また、支軸4が支軸スタンド7および支軸ブラケット8の両部材に対し回動自在に軸装される構成としても良く、その形状や取り付け態様は限定されるものではない。

以上の構成により、各扉体3aは支軸ブラケット8、8を介し支軸4、4を中心に回動して開閉することとなる。本形態のように、開閉扉3を両開き構造とすることで、図8に仮想線で示すように、開ききった状態において開閉扉3の上面部1aからの高さ寸法L1を一枚扉構造の場合に比して小さくすることができ、車体Fの底部との干渉を防止できる。また、同図に示すように、支軸4を上面部1aよりも下方に位置させ、開閉扉3が開いた状態において、各扉体3aの一部が上面部1aよりも下方に位置するように構成すれば、前記高さ寸法L1をより小さくすることができる。

図6,図7,図9に示す符号9は、各扉体3aを上面部1aと面一の状態に保持し、下方への回動を規制するストッパを示す。本形態ではボルトを利用しており、前記前後の補強鋼材5,5に固着したブラケット10,10に螺合して立設させた構成としてある。各扉体3aは、その下面の前後端部においてこのボルトの頭部に当接することにより、上面部1aと面一の状態となり、開口部2を閉じた状態とする。

次いで、車体支持装置21について説明する。図2に示すように、前記フリクションコンベアFCの下方には地下ピットPが形成されており、各パレット1がこの地下ピットPの上部に間欠的に位置したときに、例えば前記したオーバヘッドコンベアOCからパレット1への車両の移載が行われる。車体支持装置21はこの地下ピットP内に設置される。

図1,図2において、車体支持装置21は、主に、前記各開閉扉3に対応する複数(4つ)の車体支持部22,駆動部23および基台24から構成され、地下ピットPのフロアに据え付けられた基台24上に駆動部23および車体支持部22が設置される。車体支持部22は、鉛直に設けられるガイドロッド22aと該ガイドロッド22aの上端に軸部22cを介して固設されるサイドシル支持部22bを備えており、サイドシル支持部22bにて車体Fの底部のサイドシルを重量支持する。

図6,図7,図9に示すように、サイドシル支持部22bは平面視矩形状を呈する鋼板材等からなり、その上面には、車体Fのサイドシルを保護するためラバー材25が取り付けられる。図1,図2において、ガイドロッド22aには、駆動部23の最終ギア(図示せず)に噛合するギア(図示せず)が備えられ、また、4本のガイドロッド22aは、駆動部23のギア23a、チェーン23b等を介して常に連動する構成となっていて、駆動部23のモータ23cの出力軸が正逆に回転駆動することで互いに同一の高さを保持して昇降する態様となっている。ガイドロッド22aが下方位置にあるとき、サイドシル支持部22bは閉じた状態にある開閉扉3の直下に位置する。

なお、サイドシル支持部22bには、図7に示すように、ブラケット26を介して車体着座センサ27が取り付けられる。車体着座センサ27は、サイドシル支持部22bが車体Fを支持する前に車体Fの有無を検知するセンサであり、本形態では荷重センサ(例えば、抵抗歪式のセンサ)としている。車体着座センサ27の上端の荷重受け部(この荷重受け部にもラバー材28が取り付けられる)はサイドシル支持部22b(ラバー材25)の上面よりも上方に位置しており、車体Fが降下してきた際にサイドシル支持部22bで重量支持する前に、前記荷重受け部が車体Fから圧縮荷重を受けることで車体Fの有無が検知される。車体着座センサ27は、車体Fを検知したか否かの信号を車体支持装置21の制御装置(図示せず)に送信する。

次いで、図6〜図9を参照して、開閉扉3の下面側を押圧して上方側に開く押圧手段42及び開閉扉3の開いた状態を保持する保持手段43について説明する。本形態では開閉フレーム45がこの押圧手段42及び保持手段43を構成する部材となる。開閉フレーム45は、車体支持部22の軸部22cにブラケット44を介して固着され、開口部2の前縁あるいは後縁に沿うように立設される基板部45aと、基板部45aの左右の縁部に基板部45aの面と直交するように立設されて固着されるガイド板部45b,45bと、このガイド板部45b,45bの上部において、上方に向かうにしたがい互いが漸次近接するように傾斜状に形成される傾斜部45c,45cと、を備えた部材であり、傾斜部45c,45cが押圧手段42を構成し、ガイド板部45b,45bが保持手段43を構成する。

開閉フレーム45の傾斜部45c,45cの上端は、車体支持装置21のサイドシル支持部22bの上面と略同一の高さとなっている。一方、開閉扉3側においては、各扉体3aの下面に、前記開閉フレーム45の傾斜部45c及びガイド板部45bに対応するように、ブラケット46を介しガイドローラ47が回転自在に軸装されている。

以上の構成により、駆動部23のモータ23cが駆動して車体支持部22と共に開閉フレーム45が上昇すると、左右の傾斜部45cがガイドローラ47を介し各扉体3aを上方側に向けて左右に押し開くこととなる。回転自在なガイドローラ47が介在することでスムーズな開閉扉3の開閉が可能となっている。そして、さらに開閉フレーム45が開口部2を貫通して上昇すると、ガイドローラ47がガイド板部45bの鉛直面に当接することにより、扉体3aは開ききった状態となり、開いた状態が保持される(図8に仮想線で示す状態)。

このとき、図8に示すように、各扉体3aが開ききった状態において、もし各扉体3aの重心が支軸4よりもそれぞれ左右外方側に位置する場合には、扉体3aが鉛直状態を通り越してそれぞれ左右外方側まで開いてしまい、開閉フレーム45が下降しても元に戻らずに開口部2を閉じなくなってしまうことになる。また、例え扉体3aが開ききった際に前記重心が支軸4よりも内側に位置し、開閉フレーム45が下降したときには扉体3aが自重により閉じる構造とした場合であっても、衝撃を受ける等何らかの理由により扉体3aが左右外方側まで開いてしまうおそれもある。そのため、本形態では、開閉扉3を閉じる方向に付勢する付勢手段48を備えた構成としてあり、これにより開閉扉3の閉動作を確実なものとしている。付勢手段48として、本形態では引張コイルばね49を利用しており、各扉体3aの下面に固着した留め具50,50と、前記各ブラケット6の上面に固着した留め具51,51との間に一対の引張コイルばね49を張架した構造としている。

開閉扉3の開閉機構は以上のような構成からなり、車体支持部22および開閉フレーム45が上昇すると、先ず、傾斜部45cの部位がガイドローラ47に接触することとなり、上昇するに従い、引張コイルばね49の付勢力に抗して左右の扉体3aをガイドローラ47を介して上方に押し開いていく。つまり、車体支持部22の上昇動作と機械的に連動して開閉扉3が開いていくこととなる。車体支持部22のサイドシル支持部22bは次第に開いていく扉体3aと干渉することなく上昇する。さらに車体支持部22および開閉フレーム45が上昇すると、引張コイルばね49の付勢力により、ガイドローラ47がガイド板部45bの鉛直面に押圧された状態で、扉体3aは左右外方側に倒れることなく所定の傾斜角度をもってその開いた状態が保持される。

そして、車体支持部22および開閉フレーム45は所定の位置まで上昇して待機し、前記したドロップリフタDL(図4,図5)により車体Fが下降してくると、先ず、車体着座センサ27の荷重受け部が車体Fの底部に接触し、車体Fの有無が検知される。さらに、荷重受け部が車体Fの重量により縮退し、車体Fは各サイドシル支持部22bにて重量支持されることとなる。次いで、ドロップリフタDLのタイヤ支持部D1を横方向に移動させた後、車体支持部22および開閉フレーム45を下降させる。開閉フレーム45が下降することにより、ガイドローラ47が引張コイルばね49の付勢力によってガイド板部45bの傾斜部45cに押圧されながら摺接移動する。これにより、扉体3aは次第に閉じていき、この扉体3aが閉じる過程で、車両のタイヤTがパレット1の上面部1aに載置される。このように、開閉扉3は、車体支持部22の下降動作と機械的に連動して閉じることとなる。車体支持部22および開閉フレーム45が下降しきると、扉体3aは前記したストッパ9に当接し、上面部1aと面一な状態となって開口部2を閉じた状態とする。

以上のように、上下方向に貫通する開口部2と、支軸4を中心に回動して開口部2を開閉する開閉扉3とを有したパレット1と、開閉扉3の下面側を押圧して上方側に開く押圧手段42と、開閉扉3の開いた状態を保持する保持手段43とを備える開閉機構とすれば、部材点数の少ない、簡単な構造の開閉機構となり、パレット1や開閉機構の組立作業が容易なものとなる。したがって、経済的なパレット1を構築できる。特に、フリクションコンベアFCのようにパレット1を多数使用する場合には、当該経済的メリットは非常に有効である。

さらに、開閉扉3を閉じる方向に付勢する付勢手段48を備える構成とすれば、開閉扉3の閉動作が確実に行われることとなり、開閉機構の信頼性が向上する。

また、支軸4をパレット1の上面部1aよりも下方に位置させ、開閉扉3が開いた状態において開閉扉3の一部が上面部1aよりも下方に位置するように構成すれば、開いた状態における開閉扉3の上面部1aからの高さ寸法L1(図8)が小さくなるため、下降途中の、あるいはパレット1上に載置された車体Fの底部との干渉を防止できる。

また、パレット1の下方に、車体Fの底部を支持する車体支持部22が開口部2を貫通して昇降自在に構成される車体支持装置21を設け、押圧手段42および保持手段43を車体支持部22の昇降動作と機械的に連動させる構成とすることにより、簡単な構造の開閉機構で、パレット1への車両の移載工程等が実現されることになる。つまり、モータやロータリソレノイド等の電装品を用いることなく、換言すれば電気的制御を一切行うことなく開閉扉3を開閉できるようになるため、極めて経済的な車両の移載工程等を構築できることとなる。

なお、以上に説明した車体支持装置21は、車両をオーバヘッドコンベアOC等からパレット1上に移載する場合に限らず、例えば、既にパレット1上に載置されている車両を、当該パレット1に対して正確に位置決めし直すために、パレット1から一旦持ち上げる場合等にも利用される。当該例としては、先ず、前記各サイドシル支持部22bをガイドロッド22aに対し水平方向に移動自在に且つ垂直軸回りに回転自在に取り付ける。そして、駆動部23を駆動させて開閉フレーム45および車体支持部22を上昇させ、開閉フレーム45により開閉扉3を開くと共に、車体支持部22によりタイヤTが上面部1aから離れる位置まで車体Fを持ち上げる。この段階では、車体Fはパレット1に対し水平方向に移動可能な状態にある。次いで、例えば、各タイヤTのサイドに配設した位置決め用のロッド(図示せず)を伸長させ、当該ロッドの先端部にて各タイヤTの側面を水平方向に押圧することにより、サイドシル支持部22bと共に車体Fを移動させ、パレット1に対する正確な位置決めを行う。

ここで、図7に示す符号31は、第2の車体支持装置を示すものであり、前記ブラケット44に固設される。車体支持装置31はシリンダ等からなり、そのロッド31aの上端には、車体Fの底部を支持する車体支持部31bがロッド31aに対し回動不能に取り付けられ、また、車体支持部31bの上面にはラバー材32が取り付けられる。ロッド31aが縮退した状態においてラバー材32の上面は車体支持部22側のラバー材25の上面よりも下方に位置している。

そして、前記車体Fの位置決めが行われた後、車体支持装置31のロッド31aを伸長させ、車体支持部31bにて車体Fの底部を重量支持させる。これにより、車体Fは車体支持装置21のサイドシル支持部22bと第2の車体支持装置31の車体支持部31bの両部材により重量支持されることとなる。この段階で前記各タイヤTのサイドに配設した位置決め用のロッドを縮退させる。このときであっても、車体Fは車体支持装置31側の車体支持部31b(ラバー材32)との摩擦力により位置決めされた姿勢がそのまま維持される。そして、駆動部23を逆回転駆動させて車体支持部22(および車体支持装置31)を下降させることにより、車両が正確な位置決めがなされた上でパレット1上に載置されることとなる。

以上、本発明の好適な実施形態を説明したが、各構成部材の個数、形状、レイアウト等は図面に記載した内容に限られず、その趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で適宜設計変更が可能である。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、部材点数の少ない、簡単な構造の開閉機構となるため、パレットや開閉機構の組立作業が容易なものとなり、経済的なパレットを構築できる。また、電気的制御を一切行うことなく開閉扉を開閉できるため、極めて経済的な車両の移載工程等を構築できる。
