本発明は下水道等で使用する水処理装置の改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、下水処理場の二次処理水、三次処理水あるいは工場排水等の消毒には、一般に次亜塩素酸ナトリウム等の塩素系の消毒剤が用いられている。
また近年は、下水処理あるいは工場排水等の消毒に、ジャケットに収納してなる紫外線ランプを使用し、処理水に紫外線を照射して殺菌することが実施されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、次亜塩素酸ナトリウム等の塩素系の消毒剤を用いると副生物としてトリハロメタン等有害物質が発生する可能性があり、放流先の生態系に悪影響を及ぼす恐れがある。
またジャケットに収納してなる紫外線ランプを用いる構造によると、ジャケットに鉄、マンガン、ケイ素、アルミニュウム等が付着し、紫外線の透過率が低下するため、ジャケットを一定の周期で清掃する必要がある。
ところで、ジャケットを清掃する度にジャケットを水処理装置から取り外し清掃すると、清掃作業に手数を要するので、ジャケットは水処理装置に装着した状態で、ジャケットの表面にブラシを前後動させ汚れを落とす構造が提案されている。しかし、単にジャケットの表面にブラシを前後動する構造によると、清掃効果が小さく、ジャケットの表面に付着物が残る欠点がある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1に記載の本発明は上記した課題を解決するために次の構成とする。
つまり、紫外線ランプを透光性の管状のジャケットに収納し、少なくとも一本のジャケットを支持体に支持してなる水処理装置に関する。
またジャケットに環状体を移動自在に支持し、また環状体の内表面全体にブラシを設けて構成してある。
さらに環状体の少なくとも片側面に、ブラシの先端が僅かに内方に突出するように中央空孔を有する蓋体を着脱自在に設けて構成し、ブラシの先端でジャケットの外表面を清掃するように構成してある。
同構造の水処理装置によると、ブラシによりジャケットの清掃を効果的に行うことができ、さらに蓋体を環状体の少なくとも片側面に配置して構成してあるので、ブラシに塵埃が絡み付くことが少ない。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下本発明の水処理装置を図1乃至図4について説明する。図において、1は水処理装置本体であって、箱形に構成し、例えば工場の二次排水あるいは三次排水の水路の一部に設置する。2は水処理装置本体1の内部に配置するジャケットであって、石英ガラスで構成してある。また同ジャケット2は、図1及び図2に示すように、例えば4本のジャケットをセットとして組合わせて構成してある。また水処理装置本体1の内部には、図1に示すように4本のジャケットを組合わせたものを例えば6セット装着して構成してある。また各ジャケット2の内部には、紫外線ランプを装着して構成してある。紫外線ランプとしては、例えば65ワットの低圧水銀ランプを用いて構成する。また4本組合わせて配置したジャケットとジャケットの間隔は例えば80mm程度に構成してある。

4はジャケット2を支持する支持体であって、両端に位置する縦脚5,6と、同縦脚5,6を上端でつなぐ横片7とで構成してある。また横片7にはガイド用の空孔8を構成してある。9はジャケット2と紫外線ランプの両端を水封状態に支持してなるジャケット支持管、10は紫外線ランプの両端に接続してなるリード線を覆ってなるパイプである。11は支持体4の横片7の下側に横片と平行に配置してなるガイド棒である。

25はジャケットに沿って移動する環状体であって、ブラシ支持体23の縦溝24から外周の一部が突出し、さらにジャケット2に嵌め込みジャケットに沿って前後動する。26は環状体25の内表面全体に設けてなるブラシであって、例えばステンレスで構成してある。またブラシの内端は、ジャケット2の外径より僅かに小さい円形空孔27を有して構成してある。28は環状体25の少なくとも片側面に着脱自在に配置してなる環状の蓋体であって、ブラシの先端が僅かに内方に突出するように中央空孔29を構成してある。蓋体28は例えばフッ素樹脂やシリコン樹脂あるいはステンレス材で構成する。また蓋体28は例えばビスで環状体25に支持し、紫外線により変質することがなく、汚れが付きにくく、付いた場合でもビスを取外し軽く拭き取るだけで清掃することができる。

また金属で構成してなるブラシは蓋体28の中央空孔29に対して内方に5mm乃至8mm程度突出して構成してある。ブラシが蓋体28の中央空孔29に対して5mm未満であると、蓋体28の内側がジャケット2の表面に接触し、環状体25の移動の妨げとなる。
また8mmを超えると、ブラシのヘタリが大きくなり清掃効果が小さくなる。実験の結果によると、ブラシは蓋体28の中央空孔29に対して内方に5mm乃至8mm程度突出して構成すると清掃効果が大きい。
