多数の(例えば4色分の)印刷ユニットを、大径の共通圧胴を中心にしてサテライト状に配設して成るサテライト型印刷機は、例えば特開平8−244195号公報によって知られているが、印刷されるシートの厚さは多種多様であるので、それに呼応して印刷ユニットのブランケット胴と共通圧胴との接触圧、すなわち印圧を調整しなければならない。

特開平3−1947号公報にあっては、旧来の直列型枚葉印刷機において、2重偏心軸受によって支持された印刷ユニットのブランケット胴を、各々の圧胴に対して統合的に印圧調整する技術が開示されている。
また、特公平8−29586号公報にあっては、異なる紙厚に対して爪のくわえを調整する技術において、胴周に均分配置された複数の爪座を、胴の中心から統合的に調整する技術が開示されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、全く新規なサテライト型印刷機の印圧調整装置を提供するもので、その目的は、多数のブランケット胴の印圧を統合的、かつ、簡便に調整すること、また、統合的な調整に加えて、各々の印刷ユニットの事情に応じた個別的な微調整も許容することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そしてこのために、本発明に係るサテライト型印刷機の印圧調整装置は、共通圧胴(1)の中心を貫通し、かつ、この共通圧胴(1)とは独立して支持された基軸(10)と、この基軸(10)の端部に固結された転輪(13)と、一端がこの転輪(13)に、他端がブランケット胴(5)の偏心軸受手段(9)に各々連結された連係手段(14)と、輪転(13)を回動させる駆動手段(16)と、を有しており、また、各々の連係手段(14)の中途に微調整手段(15)が設けられる。

以下、図面を参照して、本発明の実施例につき詳細に説明する。図1は、本発明に係るサテライト型印刷機の印圧調整装置の一実施例を示す概念的側面図、図2は、同じく要部断面図、図3は、印圧調整の対象とされるブランケット胴の軸受部分を示す断面図である。

図1の中央には、サテライト型印刷機の共通圧胴(1)が示されており、前記した特開平8−244195号公報等からも既に知られているように、大径の共通圧胴(1)は、印刷機の両側の1対のサイドフレーム(2)間に回転自在に支承され、図示しないモータにより駆動される。なお、図示を省略しているが、共通圧胴(1)の胴周にはシートの端部をくわえるくわえ爪が設けられ、上流側(図1では右側)の給紙胴からシートを受け取り、所要の印刷を行った後、下流側の排紙装置にシートを引き渡す。

共通圧胴(1)を中心にして、4組の印刷ユニット(3)がサテライト状に配設されている。これらの印刷ユニット(3)は、カラーオフセット印刷を行うために、刷版を取り付けた版胴(4)及び絵柄を転写するブランケット胴(5)を有しており、加えて版胴(4)にはインキ装置及び湿し水装置が付設される。
なお、サテライト状に配設された印刷ユニット(3)の版胴(4)の直径に対して、共通圧胴(1)の直径は整数倍(例えば4倍)とされている。その理由は、図示しないモータによって駆動される共通圧胴(1)の回転に調速して、これらの印刷ユニット(3)に順次各色の重ね刷りを行わせるためである。

さて、印圧調整の対象とされるブランケット胴(5)の両端の胴軸(6)は、前記した特開平3−1947号公報等からも十分に知られているように、2重偏心軸受によってサイドフレーム(2)間に支持されている。
図3に参考的に示す2重偏心軸受において、内側の偏心軸受(7)は、ブランケット胴(5)の胴入れ/胴抜きを行うためのものであり、シリンダ(8)によってこの内側の偏心軸受(7)を急速に回動させることにより、位置が一定している共通圧胴(1)及び版胴(4)に対してブランケット胴(5)を着脱することは周知の通りである。

印圧調整は、このような胴入れ/胴抜きを前提としつつも、紙厚の変化に呼応して、共通圧胴(1)の中心からブランケット胴(5)の軸心までの距離を変化させ、両胴(1)、(5)の接触圧を調整するものであり、このために、2重偏心軸受の外側の偏心軸受(以下、偏心軸受手段(9)という。)を所要量回動させることが必要となる。

共通圧胴(1)の中心を貫通し、かつ、共通圧胴(1)から全く独立している基軸(10)に固結された転輪(13)は、駆動手段(16)からの押動力により回動される。
転輪(13)の回動は、各々の連係手段(14)を介して多数のブランケット胴(5)の偏心軸受手段(9)をそれぞれ回動させることとなり、これにより、共通圧胴(1)の中心から各々のブランケット胴(5)の軸心までの距離が一括的に調整されて、印圧が調整される。

本発明に係るサテライト型印刷機の印圧調整装置によれば、多数のブランケット胴の印圧が共通圧胴の中心側から一括的に調整できるので、印圧調整に伴う作業負担が飛躍的に軽減できるという有意義な効果がある。
