この発明は、後輪を跨ぐようにして自転車の後ホークに取り付けられる自転車用リング錠の他、例えばチエン錠またはワイヤー錠のような自転車用錠に関し、ケース本体の表裏両側からキーの開錠操作ができるようにしたことを特長とするものである。

例えば自転車用リング錠にあっては、本出願人の出願に係る特開平8−120994号公報、特開平10−61201号公報のように、ケース本体の表面に対して直交する軸線を具えた錠機構を設けて、該錠機構の外端面に具えた鍵穴に差し込んだキーの回転操作により開錠するようにしたものがある。
また、ワイヤー錠にあっては、例えば実開平7−1239号公報のように扁平なケース本体の正面に鍵穴を臨出させた錠前がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
そしてこの種の錠前、例えば自転車用リング錠にあっては、通常、図4に示すようにサドルポストP側に向けて傾斜する後ホークHの上面にケースの裏面側を沿わせ、該裏面に備えた取付け金具を介して自転車に取り付けられる。
また、リング錠の錠機構は、ケース本体の表裏面と直交する軸線を有してケース本体の左側部に設けることにより、上記のような通常の取付け状態のもとでは鍵穴を上向きにしてキーによる開錠操作をし易くしている。

しかしながら、図5に示すように、後ホークHの上面にキャリアステーSの基部が取り付けられている場合とか、自転車にキャリパーブレーキが取り付けられている場合には、後ホークの上面側に錠を取り付ける余裕がなくなり、そのために、ケースの表裏を逆にして図示のように後ホークHの下面側に裏面を沿わせた背面取付けをしなければならない場合がある。
従来のリング錠においては、背面取付けをすると、ケースの表側が下向きになるとともに、鍵穴が後向きにまた下向きになってキーによる開錠操作がし難くなり、キーの使い勝手が損なわれる欠点を生ずる。

一方、前記ワイヤー錠は、開錠操作方向がキーの差し込める正面側に限られており、錠前が裏向きになっている場合には正面に向きを変える必要があり、状態によって向きを変えられない場合に不便を生ずる。
このようなことから本発明が解決しようとする課題は、キーの開錠操作を錠の表裏両側からできるようにすることにより、上記のような背面取付けの場合などに生ずる操作上の不便を解消することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そこで本発明は、ケース本体内に錠杆を施錠位置に掛止するストッパーを設けるとともに、このストッパーを中心として対称状に配置され、かつ、ケース本体の表裏面と直交する軸線上に、表側の錠機構と裏側の錠機構とからなる互いに同機構の2組の錠機構を備え、両機構の内端部にそれぞれ備えた作動レバーを上記ストッパーと係合させる一方、該2組の錠機構の外端面にそれぞれ鍵穴を設けて、同一のキーを用いてケース本体の表裏両面から開錠操作ができるようにした自転車用リング錠であって、ホークの下面側にその裏面を沿わせた背面取付けをした場合に、裏面側の鍵穴が上向くことによってキーの差込操作に不自由しないことを特徴とする自転車リング錠を提供するものである。

上記のように構成した本発明錠は、例えばリング錠にあっては、図5に示すように、後ホークの下面側に取り付けられた場合に、ケースの裏面側に開口する鍵穴が上向きとなるので、通常の取付け位置の場合とほぼ同等の開錠操作性が得られる。
またワイヤー錠とかチエン錠の場合にはキーによる開錠操作方向が一方向に限られなくなり、操作の利便性が向上する。

なお、本発明をリング錠に用いる場合に、錠杆とケース本体をそれぞれ断面ほぼ円形に形成したものは、錠前の表裏面の形状に大差がなくなるので、背面取付けをした場合の違和感が少ないという利点がある。
また、本発明において、錠機構にストッパーを中心として表裏で対称状になる2組のシリンダー錠機構を用いたものは、施錠の操作性と確実性が高く、使い勝手の良い錠を得ることができる。

以下に、本発明を自転車用リング錠に適用した場合の実施例を図面について説明する。
図において、1は、断面ほぼ円形の中空で円弧形に形成され、両端を向い合わせに開口したケース本体、2は一側に具えた操作摘み3をケース本体1の側面から突出させて、図示省略の復元ばねと共にケース本体内に摺動自在に嵌装した同じく断面ほぼ円形で円弧形をなす錠杆、4は、ケース本体1の側面部に、錠前の表裏面に直交する軸線を有して一体に立設した錠ケース部、5は、錠ケース部内に回転可能に嵌装した錠機構、6はケース本体1の裏面に取り付けた左右一対の取付け金具である。

図1と2に示すように、錠機構5の両外端面には表側用と裏側用とにそれぞれ鍵穴7a、7bが設けられている。また錠機構5は、図3に示すように錠ケース部4の表側と裏側からそれぞれ図示上下に嵌装された表側用と裏側用との2組のシリンダー錠機構5a、5bによって構成されている。
