上記の目的を達成するため、この発明の窓用ガードアーム装置は、基端に後方に向けた支軸を、先端に前方に向いた係合突部を夫々固設したガードアームを収納し、上記支軸を前後方向に移動可能に案内すると共に、後方に付勢した箱状をなす縦長の中空のフレームと、上記係合突部が係入可能な嵌め孔及びこれに連設された案内長孔からなる係合長孔を開口させた縦長のストライクと、ガードアームの長さ方向における中央部後方に配設され、水平な支軸の回りを回動可能に支承されると共に、前方にガードアームを収納位置から作動位置に向け突出させるため突片を、後方に連係片を夫々形成した作用部材と、上記ガードアームの支軸の後部に設けられ、ガードアーム作動時先端が作用部材方向に向く長径部を形成したカム片と、このカム片と作用部材の間で縦方向に延在し、カム片に向かう方向に付勢されると共に、ガードアーム作動時カム片に駆動されて作用部材の拘束片と係合し、作用部材を係止する係止部材と、上記作用部材の連係片と係合する一対の脚片を有し、上下方向に移動可能に案内された操作手段とを設け、上記フレームを回転型の障子の開放側端面に、ストライクを障子閉鎖時その開放側端面に対向する障子枠に夫々装着すると共に、操作手段を、その一対の脚片で作用部材の連係片を挟む態様で、障子の室内側に配設したことを特徴とする。
