本発明は、気体や液体を通すダクト・ホース類をブロー成形によって得るときに、インサート成形を併用して、分岐流路構成用パイプが取付く箇所を同時一体的に形成するとき使用される合成樹脂製インサートに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
前記した用途に使用されるインサートに関し、特開平7−124999号公報には、有底短管状をなしたインサートが開示されている。このインサートの底部分は、ブロー成形時はブロー成形樹脂がインサートの短管状部分内に侵入しないように封鎖する役目を果たしているが、ブロー成形後は穿孔されて中空ブロー成形体内外の連通がなされる。インサートの底部分に繋がる短管状部分は中空ブロー成形体の外側に突出し、その短管状部分の内側には分岐流路構成用パイプが挿入嵌合されることになる。かかる用途に使われるインサートは、全体が曲げ弾性率3,000Kgf/cm2 以下の硬度を持った軟質材料製とすると、インサートと分岐流路構成用パイプとの良好な取付性、気密性が得られる旨、前掲公報には記載がなされている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記した曲げ弾性率をもつ軟質材料製インサートで種々試験を重ねた結果によると、インサートと分岐流路構成用パイプとの取付性や気密性といった点では満足できても、インサートと中空ブロー成形体との固定強度や組立後の引抜強度という点では必ずしも充分とはいえず未だ改善の余地があったから、この発明では、これ等の点が改善されたインサートを提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明に係る合成樹脂製インサートは、短管状部分と、その短管状部分の一方の開口箇所を封鎖する底部分とからなる有底短管状の形態を有し、該短管状部分はブロー成形体から突出し、該底部分はブロー成形体中に埋設され、該短管状部分の内側に分岐流路構成用パイプが挿入嵌着して使用される合成樹脂製インサートであって、その短管状部分の内層部分は軟質合成樹脂で構成され、その短管状部分の外層部分及びその外層部分と一体的に繋げた前記底部分は硬質合成樹脂で構成され、前記短管状部分の外層部分には前記短管状部分に加えられる外力によって拡縮容易となすための縦スリットが複数箇所に設けたものである。

前記短管状部分の外層部分よりも大径とした底部分の周側面には凹溝を設け、縦スリット間に当る短管状部分の外層上端縁には外側に張出した鍔を設けるとよい。

【発明の実施の形態】
この発明の一実施例を図1(A)に基づいて説明すると、この合成樹脂製インサート1は、従来例と同じく、短管状部分2と、その短管状部分2の一方の開口箇所を封鎖する底部分3とからなる有底短管状をなしていて、ダクトやパイプ等の中空ブロー成形体を得るブロー成形時に同時にインサート成形されるときに用いられて、その一体成型品は、図2(A)のように、底部分3は中空ブロー成形体10中に埋設され、短管状部分2は中空ブロー成形体10から外側に向けて突出し、ブロー成形時にはブロー成形樹脂が短管状部分2内に侵入しないように封鎖していたインサート1の底部分3は、ブロー成形後は穿孔されて中空ブロー成形体10の内部と外部との連通がなされる。実際の使用は、図2(B)のように、短管状部分2の内側に分岐流路用パイプ11が嵌入装着され、短管状部分2の外側からバンド12で緊締されることになる。

このインサート1の一つの特長は、短管状部分2は内層部分2aと外層部分2bの二層構造となし、その内層部分2aは例えばオレフイン系の熱可塑性エラストマーといった軟質合成樹脂製とし、その外層部分2bおよびその外層部分2bと一体的に繋げた底部分3は例えばポリプロピレンといった硬質合成樹脂製としている点である。かかる構成は公知の二色射出成形法により製作可能である。インサート1の外層部分2bと、その外層部分2bと一体的に繋げた底部分3とが硬質合成樹脂製であるから、インサート1と中空ブロー成形体10との固定強度および組立後の引抜強度は十分強力なものにすることができる一方、分岐流路構成用パイプ11が嵌入装着される短管状部分2の内層部分2aは軟質合成樹脂製であるから、インサート1と分岐流路構成用パイプ11との良好な取付性、気密性は十分保証されることになる。このインサート1の底部分3の周側面は、薄板状張出部5と、該薄板状張出部5に続く凹状溝部6を形成している。これら薄板状張出部5および凹状溝部6の形態は、ブロー成形樹脂と溶着乃至は密着しやすく且つ十分な係止効果を得る見地から適宜決めることができる。また、図1(B)に分かり易く図示したように、前記短管状部分2の外層部分2bには外層部分2bの円周を等分した複数箇所に縦スリット4を形成している。このような縦スリット4を欠く硬質合成樹脂製の外層部分2bであると、外層部分2bの拡縮は殆ど困難であるため、分岐流路構成用パイプ11の装着を難しくするが、縦スリット4を設けると拡縮可能となって分岐流路構成用パイプ11の装着が容易となるし、バンド12で緊締するにしても効果的に締め上げることができる。

図示の例では、短管状部分2の外層部分2b上端縁には、前記縦スリット4,4間に鍔7を形成している。この鍔7は短管状部分2外周縁の補強のほか、バンド12が抜け落ちるのを防ぐ役を果たす。

【発明の効果】
この発明は、上述したように、ブロー成形樹脂中に埋設されるインサート底部分及びその底部分に繋がるインサート短管状部分の外層部分は硬質合成樹脂製としたこと、更には底部分の周側面に設けた薄板状張出部と凹状溝部としたことが両々相俟って、中空ブロー成形体に対するインサートの固定強度および組立後の引抜強度を充分強くすることができ、分岐流路構成用パイプが嵌め込まれるインサート短管状部分の内層部分は軟質合成樹脂製としたから、インサートと分岐流路構成用パイプとの取付性や気密性は損なわれることなく良好に維持させることができる。短管状部分の外層部分には、その円周を等分した複数箇所に縦スリットを設けたから、拡縮が容易となって分岐流路構成用パイプを挿入して組付るときや、バンドで締めるときに、確実なものとすることができる。また、縦スリット間に当る短管状部分の外層上端縁に鍔を設けるときには、補強のほか、短管状部分の外側から緊締するバンドの脱落を防止する。
