本発明は、複数の乾電池が並列に収納される乾電池収納装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来より、両端部に端子部材を有する複数の電池収納部が並列に設けられ、該各電池収納部に乾電池を収納することで、複数個の乾電池を収納できる乾電池収納装置は知られている。

ところで、かかる乾電池収納装置において、乾電池を上下二段に縦積みにして収納する場合は、一般に、配線をできるだけ簡単にするために、電池収納部の長手方向の同一側においては、上側又は下側の電池収納部の端子部材のいずれか一方がプラス側、他方がマイナス側とされる。即ち、図5に示すように、上側の乾電池aがプラスとなる側では下側の乾電池aの電極がマイナス、上側の乾電池aがマイナスとなる側では下側の乾電池aの電極がプラスとなり、そして、それらを流れる電流は、各電池収納部の端子部材を介して、P1からP12と順に流れるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述したように乾電池aが配列された乾電池収納装置bの場合には、図6に示すように、同一の電池収納部cのプラス側端子部材dとマイナス側端子部材eとに対し乾電池aのプラス側及びマイナス側電極を接触させる必要があるが、誤って乾電池aを斜めに挿入しても、乾電池aの各電極が、隣接する電池収納部cのプラス側端子部材dとマイナス側端子部材e(例えば点P101,P102)に接触することになるので、ループ状に導通して、短絡するおそれがある。

本発明はかかる点に鑑みてなされたもので、乾電池が誤って収納され、短絡するのを防止した乾電池収納装置を提供することを日的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、乾電池を誤って挿入した場合には、端子部材に触れて短絡しないように、電池収納部の形状を改良したものである。

本発明は、両端部に端子部材を有する電池収納部が並列に複数個設けられ、該各電池収納部にそれぞれ1本の乾電池が収納される乾電池収納装置を前提として、前記各電池収納部のうちの隣接する3つの電池収納部において、中間部の電池収納部は、長手方向において同一配置にある両側の電池収納部に対し、長手方向にずれて配置され、前記各電池収納部のうちの隣接する2つの電池収納部において、一方の電池収納部のプラス側端子部材は、他方の電池収納部のマイナス側端子部材までの長さが乾電池の長さよりも長くあるいは短く設定されている。

このように、各電池収納部のうちの隣接する2つの電池収納部において、一方の電池収納部のプラス側端子部材から他方の電池収納部のマイナス側端子部材までの長さが乾電池の長さよりも長くあるいは短く設定されることで、隣接する電池収納部における異なる端子部材間の長さが乾電池の長さと異なり、乾電池を誤って斜めに収納しても、乾電池の各電極が、隣接する電池収納部のプラス側端子部材とマイナス側端子部材に接触せず、そのことを感じる使用者の注意が喚起される。よって、乾電池が誤って収納されるのが防止される。

また、前記各電池収納部のうちの隣接する3つの電池収納部において、中間部の電池収納部が、長手方向において同一配置にある両側の電池収納部に対して長手方向においてずれて配置されるという簡単な構造で、前述した構造が実現される。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。

図1は乾電池収納装置の平面図である。乾電池収納装置1は、乾電池2が着脱可能に収納される電池収納部3,3,・・・が上下2段に3つずつ配置され、前記電池収納部3の長手方向の左側においては、下側の電池収納部の端子部材(図示せず)がプラス側で、上側の電池収納部の端子部材4,4,4がマイナス側となっている。また、右側においては、下側の電池収納部の端子部材(図示せず)がマイナス側で、上側の電池収納部3A,3B,3Cの端子部材5,5,5がプラス側となっている。

また、中間部の電池収納部3Bのみが、両側の電池収納部3A,3Cに対し、該収納部の長手方向に対し長さΔLだけずれて配置され、それによって、一方の電池収納部3A,3Bの端子部材5,5(プラス側)から他方の電池収納部3Bの端子部材4(マイナス側)までの長さが乾電池2の長さよりも長くあるいは短くなるように設定されている。

よって、隣接する端子部材4,5間の長さが乾電池2の長さと異なることとなり、乾電池2を斜めに挿入した場合には、乾電池2の各電極2a,2bと端子部材4,5との間に隙間ΔS1,S2が生じたり、全く挿入できないこととなり、乾電池2をうまく装着できないので、使用者の注意が喚起され、乾電池2を誤って収納するのが防止され、また、短絡するということもない。

また、上記実施の形態においては、中間部の電池収納部3Bを両側の電池収納部3A,3Bに対して長手方向にずらせているが、図2に示すように、各電池収納3E,3F,3Gを順にずらせて階段状に配置するようにしても、同様の効果が得られる。即ち、一側に位置する電池収納部3Eに対し、中間に位置する電池収納部3Fを図2において左側にΔLだけずらせ、さらに、他側に位置する電池収納部3Gを図2において左側にさらにΔLだけずらせるようにしている。この場合も、前述した実施の形態と同様に、隣接する電池収納部のプラス側とマイナス側の端子部材4,5間の長さが乾電池2の長さと異なることとなり、乾電池2を斜めに挿入しようとしても、乾電池2をうまく挿入できないので、使用者の注意が喚起され、乾電池を誤って収納するのが防止される。

また、上記実施の形態では、電池収納部3が上下2段に3つずつ配置したものに適用したものであるが、図3及び図4に示すように、電池収納部が上下2段に2つずつ配置したものにも同様に適用することができる。即ち、図3に示すように、一側に位置する電池収納部3Hに対し、他側に位置する電池収納部3Jを図3において左側にΔLだけずらせることにより、乾電池2を斜めに挿入した場合には、乾電池2の電極と端子部材4,5との間に隙間ΔS3,ΔS4が生じ、乾電池2をうまく装着できないで、使用者の注意が喚起され、乾電池を誤って収納するのが防止される。また、図4に示すように、一側に位置する電池収納部3K,3Lに対し、他側に位置する電池収納部を図4において右側にΔLだけずらせたりする場合も同様である。

本発明は、以上説明したような形態で実施され、以下に述べるような効果を奏する。
