【従来の技術】
筋力の衰えた高齢者や身体障害者が自力で自動車に乗り降りしたり、椅子に座った状態から立ち上がるのは困難であり、クッション性に優れた座り心地の良い椅子ほど身体が座面に沈み込むため、立ち上がったり、姿勢を変えにくかった。また、通常、自動車の扉や前座席の背板等には、移動しやすくするために手すりが取り付けられているが、このような手すりは手が届きにくく、自動車用椅子として不十分であった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

請求項1に係る自動車用椅子は、座部の上面に配置され、前記座部と一体に設けた座面シートの前縁及び両側縁を、前記座部の外周面よりも外方へ張り出し、その先端を下方へ折り曲げて、掴んで身体を支えるための下方を開放した把持体を前記座部の外周縁の前縁及び両側縁の全長に亘って連続して設けると共に、前記座部の外周面と前記把持体との間に、親指以外の4本の指先を挿入可能な手指挿入間隙を前記座部の外周縁の前縁及び両側縁の全長に亘って連続して形成し、前記把持体は掌と前記4本の指で把持可能であることを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1及び図2は、本発明の実施形態を示す。本発明の自動車用椅子1は、座部2の後端部から上方へ背もたれ部3が起伏可能に起立して成る。座部2の上面に座部2と一体に配置された座面シート4の前縁及び両側縁を、座部2の外周面よりも外方へ張り出し、その先端を下方へ折り曲げて、座部2の両側面から前面に亘って連続して下方を開放した把持体5を形成する。また、把持体5と座部2の外周面との間には、手指挿入間隙6が形成される。
