【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、伸縮及び角度自在な管継手に使用されるゴムパッキンに係り、特に管体の受口に管体の差口を挿入して管接続をする際に、スムースに差口が受口に挿入され、また水密性も良好な管継手を製造するために好適に使用されるゴムパッキンに関する。

【従来の技術及びその問題点】
従来、合成樹脂管を伸縮及び角度自在に接続ために使用される管継手用のゴムパッキンとしては、例えば、図3の(A)及び(B)に断面図で示すものが使用されている。
即ち、受口管3の端面に設けられたパッキン装着溝31に嵌り込む環状のパッキン本体5と、当該パッキン本体の内周に軸中心方向に傾斜を有するリップ部6よりなるゴムパッキンである。
当該パッキン本体5は幅方向の中央が谷部51の形状をして窪んでおり、その両側が山形の肩部52及び53を有しており、そして両肩部52、53の外径は同一の寸法であった。

この従来のゴムパッキンを受口管3のパッキン装着溝31に装着して、図3の(B)に示す如く、差口管4をゴムパッキンのリップ部6の内周面に挿入すると、差口管4の挿入時の押込力を低減する為に設けられたパッキン本体の谷部51の部分が変形を起こし当該パッキン本体5が矢印方向に回転をすることがある。
この回転によるパッキン本体の変形よって差口管4の挿入作業がスムースに行うことが出来ないことがあり、またパッキン本体の肩部53がパッキン装着溝31の内面肩部から離れ加減となって接圧力が減少する。
この結果、肩部52とパッキン装着溝31の内面肩部、及び差口管4の外周面とリップ部6の内周面によって水密性が保持されることになるが、この接圧力が不足することによって管内を流れる流体の漏洩防止効果を低下させる原因にもなっていた。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、上記問題を解決したゴムパッキンを提供しようとするものでその要旨は、環状のパッキン本体と、当該環状パッキン本体の内周の一端部から折り返され軸中心方向に傾斜したリップ部からなるゴムパッキンであって、パッキン本体の外周はその幅方向の中央が谷部の形状で両側が山形の肩部をしており、リップ部の折り返し側に位置する肩部の外径がパッキン装着溝の内径とほぼ同径であり、かつリップ部の先端側に位置する肩部の外径は当該リップ部の折り返し側に位置する前記肩部の外径より大きい寸法としたことを特徴とするゴムパッキンである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて詳細に説明する。
図1は本発明のゴムパッキンの断面図、図2は本発明のゴムパッキンの使用状態図である。

図1において、1は環状のパッキン本体であり、当該パッキン本体1は受口管3に設けたパッキン装着溝31に装着される。
2はパッキン本体1の内周の一端から折り返され軸中心方向に傾斜したリップ部であり、このパッキン本体1及びリップ部2の両部材によって本発明のゴムパッキンを構成されている。
そして、パッキン本体1の外周はその幅方向の中央が谷部11の形状をして窪んでおり、当該谷部11の両側が山形の肩部12及び13をしており、リップ部2の先端側に位置する前記肩部12の外径は、リップ部の折り返し側に位置する肩部13の外形寸法よりH寸法だけ大きくしてある。
このH寸法は、例えば呼び径65の硬質塩化ビニル管同士を接続する場合であれば1〜2mm程度に設定すればよい。

次に、図1及び2に基づいて管継手時における本発明のゴムパッキンの使用状態を説明する。
本発明のゴムパッキンは肩部13の外径がパッキン装着溝31の内径とほぼ同径で、肩部12外径が肩部13の外径より若干大きくなるように形成されている。 このため、受口管3の管端に設けられているパッキン装着溝31内に環状のパッキン本体1を嵌め込むことにより、パッキンの肩部12はパッキン装着溝31の一方の内面肩部に多少押圧されて密接され、またパッキンの肩部13はパッキン装着溝31の他方の内面肩部と接触する。

図2に示す如く、差口管4をゴムパッキンのリップ部2の内周面に挿入すると、差口管4の挿入時の押込力を低減する為に設けられたパッキン本体の谷部11の部分が徐々に変形を起こし、パッキン本体の肩部12がパッキン装着溝31の内面肩部に矢印方向に圧接されて圧接力が増加する。

この状態で差口管4の先端を更に押込んでも上記の圧接力によって、従来の様にパッキン本体1は回転することなく、差口管4がゴムパッキンのリップ部2の内周面にスムースに差し込まれて必要寸法だけ挿入することが出来る。
そして、差口管4の外周面とゴムパッキンのリップ部2の内周面とは矢印方向に適宜の圧接力が働いて両者均一に接触して流体の漏洩防止効果を発揮する。

【発明の効果】
本発明のゴムパッキンは、伸縮及び角度自在な管継手用のパッキンとして最適であり、受口管と差口管との接合時の挿入作業がスムース行うことができ、更に管の接合部分に介在されたゴムパッキンの内・外周面は高い圧接力で差口管の外周面及びパッキン装着溝の内周面に接触しているので、接合された管同士の伸縮及び接合角度の変化の際に管内の流体が漏洩することがない等優れた効果を有している。
