次に本発明の有機EL装置は、複数の画素を有する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置において、前記複数の画素は、表示に関係する複数の表示画素、及び表示に関係しない複数のダミー画素を含み、前記表示画素同士のピッチと前記ダミー画素同士のピッチとが互いに等しいことを特徴とする。
また、前記エレクトロルミネッセンス装置は、表示画素が配置されてなる有効光学領域、及び前記複数のダミー画素を含んでなるとともに前記有効光学領域外に配置されたダミー領域とを具備することを特徴とする。
透明電極108…は第2層間絶縁膜107上に形成されると共に、TFT素子105…に対応する位置に配置されている。なお透明電極108は、平面視において略円形、矩形、あるいは四角が円弧状の矩形などの形状で形成されていればよい。
これにより、有効光学領域Aの全体において、インク組成物の乾燥を均一に行うことができた。

Claims (2)
- 表示に関係する複数の表示画素が配置されてなる有効光学領域と、前記有効光学領域の周囲に設けられて表示に関係しない複数のダミー画素が配置されてなるダミー領域とを具備し、前記複数の表示画素の各々及び前記複数のダミー画素の各々は有機エレクトロルミネッセンス層を有する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の製造方法であって、
前記有効光学領域及び前記ダミー領域に、有機エレクトロルミネッセンス材料を溶媒に溶解又は分散させた組成物を塗布することにより前記有機エレクトロルミネッセンス層を形成する工程を有し、
前記組成物は前記有効光学領域の表示画素と前記ダミー領域のダミー画素とで同ピッチに塗布することを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の製造方法 - 前記有機エレクトロルミネッセンス材料は正孔注入層材料であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の製造方法。
