この発明は、例えば廃棄物処分場等における汚染水の拡散を防止するための遮水技術に関し、特に汚染水などの拡散を防止するための鉛直遮水構造に用いられる遮水シートに関する。

【従来の技術】
廃棄物処分場などでは、そこから漏れ出す汚染水の拡散を防止するために、鉛直遮水が用いられる。鉛直遮水は、廃棄物処分場の周囲を囲むようにし、且つ粘性土質の不透水層まで達するようにして遮水材を地中に立設する方式である。この鉛直遮水方式で用いる遮水材の代表的な一つとして合成樹脂製の遮水シートがある(参考技術として、特公平6−11994号参照)。この種の遮水シートはそれぞれ水平長さ方向での両端部に雄型接続部と雌型接続部が取付けられ、複数枚の遮水シートを雄型接続部と雌型接続部との係合により相互に連結して所定領域を取り囲むようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、このような従来の技術にあっては、複数の遮水シートを水平長さ方向に連結しながら所定領域を取り囲む構造のため、連結した遮水シートの向きを変更するコーナー部では、遮水シートの柔らかさを利用して段階的に少しずつ曲げられる。そのため、どうしても大きく湾曲したコーナー部になり、シャープなコーナー部を得ることができなった。従って、四角い廃棄物処分場を取り囲むような場合も、処分場から離れた外側位置を湾曲した状態で大きく取り囲むことになるため、遮水シートの経路が長くなり、その分、遮水シートの枚数を多く必要とすると共に、作業量も増えることになる。また、地盤の状態などにより、遮水シートを打ち込む経路中において、部分的に迂回したいような領域があるような場合も、大きく湾曲した状態で迂回しなければならなため不利である。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明に係る遮水シートは、シート本体の水平長さ方向での一端に第1接続部が取付けられ、他端に第2接続部が取付けられ、複数枚をそれぞれ第1接続部と第2接続部の係合により連結し、所定領域を囲むように地中へ略鉛直に打ち込むことで前記領域を遮水的に閉鎖する遮水シートにおいて、前記第1接続部と第2接続部の少なくともいずれか一方が、シート本体の水平長さ方向に対して所定の角度で取付けられている。

この発明によれば、第1接続部と第2接続部の少なくともいずれか一方が、シート本体の水平長さ方向に対して所定の角度で取付けられているため、この遮水シートを複数の連結された遮水シートの中に配置することにより、その角度に応じたシャープなコーナー部が得られる。第1接続部と第2接続部は、通常はいずれか一方だけが、所定の角度で取付けられるものであるが、他方側が角度をもっていることを妨げるものではない。取付角度は廃棄物処分場のコーナー部に合わせて任意角度が選択される。第1接続部と第2接続部のいずれか一方だけを所定角度で取付ける場合は、その角度を直角(90度)にすることにより、直角用のコーナー部材が得られる。

角度をもたせる接続部は、シート本体に直接取付けても良いが、補助シートを介して取付けても良い。補助シートを介して取付けた方が、補助シートの柔らかさにより取付角度の微調整が容易になる。また、シート本体の端部を所定角度に折り曲げ、その端部に接続部を取付けるようにしても良い。その場合、シート本体の端部を予め曲がった状態で成形しても良いし、面状に成形した後に折り曲げ、その折り曲げ状態を補助シートの追加により保持するようにしても良い。後者の場合は、シート本体の端部を接続部ごと折り曲げて、補助シートを追加するだけなので、従来の遮水シートを利用することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
この発明の好適な実施形態を図面に基づいて説明する。

図1〜図4は、この発明の第1実施形態を示す図である。図1及び図3は、今までの一般的な遮水シート1を示しており、この遮水シート1もコーナー部以外の部分では使用される。この遮水シート1は、上下方向に長い長方形状のシート本体2を有している(尚、図3等の斜視図では、上下長さを縮めて示してある)。このシート本体2はポリエチレン樹脂の押出成形品である。

このシート本体2の水平長さ方向での各端部には、第1接続部Aと第2接続部Bがそれぞれ溶着されている。第1接続部Aは先端がヤジリ状の断面形状で、第2接続部Bは第1接続部Aの先端に相応する溝部を有する断面形状である。第2接続部Bの溝部の底部には、膨潤層3が一体的に備えられている。この膨潤層3は水を含んで膨張し、互いに係合された第1接続部Aと第2接続部Bとの隙間を塞ぐ働きをする。膨潤層3は一体でなく、棒状のものを備えても良く、第1接続部Aの先端にも膨潤層を一体的に備えても良い。このような遮水シート1は、それぞれの第1接続部Aと第2接続部Bを介して図3に示すように接続して用いる。

次に、図2及び図4に示されているのが、この発明に係る遮水シート4である。この遮水シート4では、第1接続部A′をシート本体2に対して直角にして、その端末をシート本体2に溶着している。従って、遮水シート1、4を、廃棄物処分場における鉛直遮水構造に用いる場合、その直線部では、図3に示すように、第1接続部Aと第2接続部Bとを係合させて、遮水シート1同士を連結させて真っ直ぐな遮水壁を形成すれば良い。そして、遮水シート1の向きを変更する箇所においては、本実施形態の遮水シート4を用いることにより、第1接続部A′の角度(90度)に応じたシャープなコーナー部が得られる。従って、四角い廃棄物処分場を取り囲む場合も、遮廃棄物処分場に近い位置を処分場に沿った形で取り囲むことができる。そのため、遮水シート1、4の経路も短くなり、その分、遮水シート1の枚数を少なくできると共に作業量を減らせることができる。
