Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an ordinary bookbinding that is classified by the form of a cover material, and in particular, an ordinary booklet that is classified by a fixing method of a printing book, specifically, a wireless binding, an azilo binding, and a saddle binding. It relates to books.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, from the viewpoint of bookbinding, a printed book is aligned on a predetermined page, fixed by some method (adhesive, metal fittings, thread, etc.), covered with a binding material, and cut to the specified dimensions. (There is also a method of cutting a booklet to a specified size and then covering it with a binding material). There are various kinds of such books, but if they are classified from the viewpoint of the cover material, they can be classified into normal bookbinding, upper bookbinding, temporary bookbinding, and the like. Of these, average bookbinding is a form in which a text book is wrapped with a single cover such as printed paper, and most of the books have a form in which the cover and the text are trimmed to the same dimensions. Most so-called magazines are in this style, and are called soft covers in foreign countries. As the book belonging to this average bookbinding, there are a wireless binding, an azimuth binding, and a saddle binding.
[0003]
A wireless binding is manufactured by cutting 2 to 3 mm from the back of a printing book, fixing it with an adhesive, wrapping the cover with the same adhesive, pasting it, cutting it off, and cutting it off. The binding is a slit-like process on the back of the booklet before it is applied to the bookbinding machine. After the booklet is collated with the bookbinding machine, the back is coated with an adhesive. It is manufactured by wrapping and sticking, finishing cutting, and increasing the adhesive strength compared to the previous wireless binding. The saddle-stitched book is a book that is sequentially collated with a cover and wire-stitched and trimmed in three directions.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In various types of ordinary bookbinding as described above, a cover part is usually made using a cover material composed of a front cover and a back cover. The back of the front cover of this cover is the most prominent place to place advertisements, but the cover using conventional cover materials is limited in size, so it is a design choice in terms of size. There was also a limit to designing with a small width and appealing effect.

The lower side of the second paper part and the connecting part are on the same line, while the lower side of the first paper part is above the lower side, and the lower side of the first paper part is folded on the lower side. The extended portion is connected via the inner portion, the inner side of the extended portion is outside the boundary line between the first paper portion and the connecting portion, and the first paper portion is between the connecting portion and the extended portion. It has a protruding part having a shape cut out obliquely or in an S shape from the corner of the extended part to the corner of the connecting part.
[0007]
A wireless binding or an azimuthal binding is manufactured using the first type of cover material. Specifically, a cover consisting of a front cover, a back cover, and a connecting part between them wraps the text, the connecting part is glued at the back, and the front and back covers are glued at the throat, respectively. A wireless binding or azilo binding that has been bound in this way, where the lower side of the front cover is above the lower side of the main body and back cover, and the lower part of the front cover is an extension that is folded inward via a crease. Are connected, the inner side of the extension is outside the back of the book, and the cover is cut diagonally from the inner edge of the crease at the boundary with the extension to the front of the lower end of the throat. A product having a protruding portion of the shape is manufactured.
[0008]
In the second type of front covering material according to the present invention, the first paper portion serving as the front cover and the second paper portion serving as the back cover are connected, and the lower side of the first paper portion is the second side. The extended portion is above the lower side of the paper portion, and the extended portion is connected to the lower side of the first paper portion via a crease, and the inner side of the extended portion has the first paper portion and the second paper portion. The first paper portion is cut out obliquely or in an S-shape from the corner of the extended portion to the corner of the second paper portion between the second paper portion and the extended portion. It has the shape protrusion part.
[0009]
A saddle stitch book is manufactured using the first type of cover material. Specifically, a cover consisting of a front cover and a back cover wraps the text, and is a saddle-stitched book that is wire-bound at the back, and the lower side of the front cover is above the lower side of the text and the back cover. The lower part of the cover is connected to an extension part that is folded inward via a crease, the inner side of the extension part is located outside the back of the book, and the cover is the border of the extension part. What has the protrusion part of the shape notched diagonally from the inner side edge part of a crease to the near front of the back lower end is manufactured.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 is a development view showing an example of a cover material for forming a cover of a wireless binding, and FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged view of the cover material 10 after double-sided printing is performed on the coated paper for the cover. It is manufactured by punching the outer shape shown in the drawing with a punching machine and simultaneously pushing the creases indicated by dotted lines.
[0011]
As shown in the figure, the front cover 10 is connected to a first paper portion 11 serving as a front cover and a second paper portion 12 serving as a back cover via a connecting portion 13 serving as a back portion. While the lower side of the portion 12 and the connecting portion 13 are on the same line, the lower side of the first paper portion 11 is above the lower side by a dimension a, and the lower side of the first paper portion 11 has a crease α The extension portion 14 is connected via the. The vertical width of the extended portion 14 is substantially the same as that of the first paper portion 11, but the left side of the extended portion 14 is on the right side by the dimension b. The first sheet portion 11 includes a protruding portion 15 that is cut out in an S shape from the upper left corner of the extended portion 14 to the lower right corner of the connected portion 13 between the connecting portion 13 and the extended portion 14. Have.
[0012]
Before the cover material 10 is applied to the bookbinding machine, the extended portion 14 is folded back to the back side of the first paper portion 11 as shown in FIG. Then, the cover material 10 with the extended portion 14 folded back as shown in FIG. Specifically, first, 2 to 3 mm is cut from the back of the bundle of the printing book and fixed with an adhesive, and the connecting material 13 is attached by wrapping the cover material 10 using this adhesive. In this case, the printing book and the cover material 10 are aligned on the upper side. On the bookbinding line, the back step is followed by the throat step, and immediately the first paper portion 11 and the first page of the text, and the second paper portion 12 and the throat of the last page of the text (from the back). Paste the area along the back about 5 mm. The region of the throat before bonding is a portion G indicated by hatching in FIG. FIG. 4 is an explanatory view showing a state before the cover material 10 is pasted on the body 20 made of a printing book with an adhesive and the throat is pasted.
[0013]
Next, makeup is cut off on three sides by a cutting machine, and a wireless binding 25 shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B is manufactured. FIG. 6 is a partially enlarged view of FIG. When the makeup is cut off, the top and bottom are cut so as to pass through the middle of the protrusion 15 in the first paper portion 11. Thereby, the state in which the first sheet portion 11 and the extended portion 14 are connected by the crease α can be maintained. In addition, the area | region shown with the dotted line in FIG.5 (B) is the back part and throat part which bonded together with the adhesive agent.
[0014]
In the wireless binding 25 manufactured in this way, a cover made up of a front cover 26, a back cover 27, and a connecting portion 28 between them wraps the text 20, and the connecting portion 28 is glued on the back, The front cover 26 and the back cover 27 are respectively glued at the throat G, and the lower side of the front cover 26 is slightly above the lower side of the main body 20 and the back cover 27. Thus, the extended portion 29 folded inward is connected. The inner side 29a of the extension 29 is outside the back of the book, and the cover 26 is cut diagonally from the inner end of the crease α at the boundary with the extension 29 to the front of the lower end of the throat G. The projecting portion 15 having the missing shape is provided.
[0015]
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 7, after opening the front cover 26, the extended portion 29 is widened, so that the front cover 26 and the extended portion 29 can be opened and lengthened. Thus, when the front cover 26 and the extension portion 29 are opened, the force is dispersed by the projecting portion 15 between them, so that even if the cover is repeatedly opened, it is prevented to some extent.
[0016]
Note that the Ajiro binding is different from the wireless binding only in that a slit-like process is applied to the back of the booklet before the binding machine is applied, so the cover material of the present invention is applied to the Ajiro binding. This can be done in the same manner as in the case of the above-mentioned wireless binding.
[0017]
FIG. 8 is a developed view showing an example of a cover material for forming a cover of a saddle stitch book, and FIG. 9 is a partially enlarged view of the cover material 30 after double-sided printing is performed on the cover paper. It is manufactured by punching the outer shape shown in the drawing with a punching machine and simultaneously pushing the creases indicated by dotted lines.
[0018]
As shown in the figure, the front cover 30 has a first paper portion 31 that is a front cover and a second paper portion 32 that is a back cover, and a lower side of the first paper portion 31 is a second paper portion 32. An extension portion 33 is connected to the lower side of the first paper portion 31 via a crease α. The vertical width of the extended portion 33 is substantially the same as that of the paper portion 31, but the left side of the extended portion 33 is on the right side by the dimension b. The first paper portion 31 is cut out in an S shape between the second paper portion 32 and the extended portion 33 from the upper left corner of the extended portion 33 to the lower right corner of the second paper portion 32. The protrusion 34 has a different shape.
[0019]
Before the cover material 30 is applied to the bookbinding machine, the extended portion 33 is folded back to the back side of the first paper portion 31 as shown in FIG. Then, the cover material 30 with the extended portion 33 folded back as shown in FIG. Specifically, after sequentially collating the book on the gathering chain, it is bound together with the cover material 30 with a wire. In this case, the printing book and the cover material 30 are in a state of being aligned on the upper side.
[0020]
Next, makeup is cut off on three sides by a cutting machine, and a saddle stitch book 45 shown in FIGS. 12A and 12B is manufactured. FIG. 13 is a partially enlarged view of FIG. At the time of cutting off the makeup, the first sheet portion 31 and the extended portion 33 are folded into a crease α by cutting the top and bottom so as to pass through the middle of the protruding portion 34 of the first sheet portion 31. Can be kept connected.
[0021]
In the saddle stitch book 45 manufactured in this way, a cover composed of a front cover 46 and a back cover 47 wraps the text 40 and is bound with a wire W at the back, and the lower side of the front cover 46 is the text 40 and the back cover 47. An extended portion 48 that is folded inward via a crease α is connected to the lower side of the front cover 46. The inner side edge 48a of the extension 48 is outside the back of the book, and the cover 46 is notched obliquely from the inner edge of the crease α at the boundary with the extension 48 to the vicinity of the front of the lower edge of the back. It becomes what has the protruding part 34 of the shape of the shape.
[0022]
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 14, after opening the front cover 46, the extended portion 48 is widened, so that the front cover 46 and the extended portion 48 can be opened and lengthened. Thus, when the front cover 46 and the extension portion 48 are opened, the force is dispersed from the protruding portion 34 between them, so that even if the cover is repeatedly opened, it is prevented to some extent.
[0023]
In the above description, an S-shaped projecting portion is provided below the paper portion serving as the cover to make it difficult to cut when the cover is turned and the extended portion connected to the cover is widened. It is not limited. For example, it may be simply inclined, and the point is to design appropriately so that it is difficult to cut.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, a wireless binding, an AZILO binding, and a saddle binding with an extension portion folded back on the back side of the front cover can be made, so that the length is approximately twice the size of the book. It is possible to put a pattern using a large sheet of paper and form a cover with a wide range of design choices. Since a large advertisement page can be provided, it is possible to give a strong impression to readers and to respond more positively to the needs of customers (publishers and advertisers). In addition, since the protrusion is provided at the boundary between the front cover and the extended portion, it can be prevented to some extent even if it is repeatedly opened.
