従来、柔軟性や平滑性を与え、エモリエント効果を持たせる目的で、パラフィン、エステル、高級アルコール、グリセライドなどの液体油を化粧料に含有したものが用いられているが、これらの化粧料は、油っぽさやべたつき、油膜感が避けられなかった。そこで、このべたつき感を押さえるために分子量が高く、不飽和度の低い固体油が併用されたりしているが、密着性が充分でないため剥がれ落ちが生じたり、硬さが生じたりする問題があった。よって、油っぽさやべたつき、油膜感を押さえるために、前記構成の化粧料にジメチルポリシロキサンなどのシリコーン油を配合した化粧料も知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、シリコーン油は軽い延びと更に優れた平滑性、撥水性を有するが、反面、炭化水素系の液体油との相溶性が悪く、また、表面張力が低いためにすばやく拡散して、持続性に乏しいという欠点があった。従って、さっぱりした使用感、軽い延び、優れた撥水性を有しながら、なおかつ、柔軟性、平滑性、エモリエント効果を付与し、自然なつやを与える効果に優れ、良好な経時安定性を有する製剤の開発が望まれていた。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記実情に鑑み、本発明者らは鋭意研究を行なった結果、特定の構成並びに特性を有する共重合体を含有する化粧料が、上記課題を解決し得ることを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。

本発明においては、上述した共重合体を各種の皮膚化粧料に配合することによって、使用感、感触等の官能特性をより優れたものにすることができる。例えば、上記共重合体と他の油剤、もしくは更に必要に応じてゲル化剤とを含有させた油性化粧料、同様に、界面活性剤及び水性成分と組み合せて乳化した乳化化粧料、紫外線遮断剤を得ることができる。これらの皮膚化粧料は、上記共重合体を配合することにより、軽い伸びとさっぱりした使用感、汗、水に強い撥水性を有すると共に、塗布することにより、柔軟性、平滑性、エモリエント効果を付与し、自然なつやを与える効果に優れる特徴を有するものである。また、界面活性剤として、アニオン界面活性剤及び/又は両性界面活性剤を組み合せた場合、単なる汚れの除去だけでなく、洗浄後の柔軟性、なめらかさ、エモリエント効果に優れた洗浄剤が得ることができる。本発明の皮膚化粧料における共重合体の配合量は、その種類により異なり特に限定されないが、効果の発現及び使用性において、0.1〜90質量%(以下、単に「%」で示す。)が好ましく、更に好ましくは0.1〜80%である。
