【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、リールユニット本体を上部ユニットから分離することができて、新旧の機種交換作業を負担の小さなものにすることが可能な遊技機の組立方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、この種の遊技機、具体的には、例えば、スロットマシンは、正面側に開口する正面開口部を有する箱状の本体キャビネットと、この本体キャビネットの正面開口部を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉と、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール及びこの回転リールを回転させるための駆動モータを有するリールユニットと、前記回転リールの作動を制御するための主基板（主制御装置)とを少なくとも備えている。

そして、従来のスロットマシンは、遊技ホールにおける新式台と旧式台との台交換、いわゆる新台入れ替えの際、本体キャビネットも含めて、スロットマシンの全部をまるごと交換し、遊技内容に直接影響しない部品等も同時に交換され、交換に要する費用がかかるだけでなく、資源の無駄になっていた。
そこで、近年、遊技内容に直接、影響するリールユニット及びこのリールユニットの回転リールの回転駆動等を制御する主基板（主制御装置）を、前扉に固定して、前扉ごと一体に本体キャビネットから着脱自在に形成して、交換可能とする発明がなされている（例えば、特許文献１、図１及び図３参照。）。

一方、近年では、枠体に少なくとも前記リールユニット及び主基板（主制御装置）を設置した交換ユニットを、本体キャビネット内部に着脱自在に形成して、新旧の交換作業を容易にしたスロットマシンに関する技術もある（例えば、特許文献２。）。
また、前扉や、本体キャビネットに、主基板（主制御装置）、リールユニット、ホッパーユニット（メダル排出装置）及び電源ユニット（電源装置）等の部品を固定する固定手段としては、通常、ねじや、ボルトやナット等を使用して固定されているものである。例えば、主基板（主制御装置）や、かかる主基板（主制御装置）を封印した制御ユニットを、木質からな本体キャビネットに固定する固定手段としては、通常、ねじが使用されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、遊技機の交換作業において、かかる部品の工場からの積み卸し作業や、遊技ホール内の複数の遊技台を並べた島の狭いスペースの間を、持ち運び、交換を行う作業は、通常、人力によるものである。その際、上述したような前扉に、リールユニット及び主基板（主制御装置）を取り付けると、その組み合わせた重量が大きく、その状態のもので交換作業を行うのは、交換作業者の負担が大きく、大変であった。そして、そのような状態で、何回も交換作業を行い、持ち運ぶことができる交換作業者は、限られた屈強な人間だけになってしまう。

また、扉とは、別に分離させて、リールユニット及び主基板（主制御装置）を一体にした交換ユニットを形成しても、その重量は、大きく、特に、女性従業員や、高齢者等にとっては、交換作業の負担が大きく、大変であるという問題点があった。
そこで、各請求項にそれぞれ記載された各発明は、上記した従来の技術の有する問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、次の点にある。

請求項１記載の発明は、次の点を目的とする。
すなわち、請求項１記載の発明は、上部ユニットの交換作業において、交換作業者が、一度に持ち運ぶ部品の重量を小さなものにすることができ、交換作業を容易なものにすることができるようにした遊技機の組立方法を提供しようとするものである。

更に、請求項１記載の発明は、リールユニットが、接続作業の邪魔となることがなく、広いスペースの中で、接続作業を確実に行うことができるようにした遊技機の組立方法を提供しようとするものである。

すなわち、本発明に係る遊技機 (10) の組立方法は、正面側に開口する正面開口部 (21) を有する箱状の本体キャビネット (20) と、前記本体キャビネット (20) の正面開口部 (21) を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉 (30) と、前記本体キャビネット (20) 内部の上部に着脱自在な上部ユニット (40) とを少なくとも備え、前記上部ユニット (40) は、複数の部品を前記本体キャビネット (20) 内部の上部にまとめて固定するための枠状の上部ユニット用フレーム (43) と、前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の内部に固定して、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール (71) 及びこの回転リール (71) を回転させるための駆動モータを少なくとも有するリールユニット (70) と、前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の内部に固定して、前記回転リール (71) の作動を制御するための主制御装置 (80) とを備え、前記本体キャビネット (20) は、前記遊技機 (10) を正面から見て、前記リールユニット (70) の奥側の位置に、遊技に使用する各部品からの接続コード (96) を接続するためのコネクター接続部 (240) を設け、前記主制御装置 (80) を取り付けた前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) を、前記本体キャビネット (20) に固定した後、前記リールユニット (70) を、前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) に固定する遊技機 (10) の組立方法であって、前記主制御装置 (80) が取り付けられた前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) を、前記本体キャビネット (20) に固定する工程と、前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) を、前記本体キャビネット (20) に固定した後、前記コネクター接続部 (240) に、前記主制御装置 (80) からの接続コード (96) を接続する工程と、前記本体キャビネット (20) に固定された前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) に、前記リールユニット (70) を固定する工程と、前記本体キャビネット (20) の前記コネクター接続部 (240) に、前記リールユニット (70) からの接続コード (96) を接続する工程とを備えたことを特徴とする。

また、ここで、「前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の内部に固定して、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール (71) 及びこの回転リール (71) を回転させるための駆動モータを少なくとも有するリールユニット (70) と、」のうちの「上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の内部」とは、上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の全体を形成する枠の体積の中に入れば良いものである。したがって、かかる「内部」と記載されているが、必ずしもリールユニット (70) の周囲全てが上部ユニット用フレーム (43) に囲まれた内部に存在する必要はない。例えば、上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の底が無いようなものであって、リールユニット (20) を上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の下部に隣接させているようなものであっても、リールユニット (20) が上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の全体枠の体積の中に入っていれば、当該「上部ユニット用フレーム (43) の内部」に含まれるものである。

次に、前記上部ユニット用フレーム (43) に、前記リールユニット (70) を固定する。

（作用）
本発明は、リールユニット(70)を有する上部ユニット用フレーム(43)を、一度に本体キャビネット(20)に固定するのではなく、主制御装置 (80)を取り付けた上部ユニット用フレーム(43)と、この上部ユニット用フレーム(43)に取り付けるリールユニット(70)との二つの部品に分けて、それぞれ別個の取り付け作業で、行っている。これにより、上部ユニット(40)の交換作業において、交換作業者が、一度に持ち運ぶ部品の重量を小さなものにすることができ、交換作業を容易なものにすることができる。

本発明に係る遊技機 (10) の組立方法について説明する。

先ず、最初に、主制御装置 (80) が取り付けられた上部ユニット用フレーム (43) を、本体キャビネット (20) に固定する。すなわち、この上部ユニット用フレーム (43) には、主制御装置 (80) は、既に取り付けられているものである。
次に、上部ユニット用フレーム (43) を、本体キャビネット (20) に固定した後、コネクター接続部 (240) に、主制御装置 (80) からの接続コード (96) を接続する。このコネクター接続部 (240) は、遊技機 (10) を正面から見て、リールユニット (70) が取り付けられる奥側の位置の本体キャビネット (20) に形成されている。このため、未だ、リールユニット (70) が取り付けられていない状態では、遊技機 (10) を正面から見て、コネクター接続部 (240) が、リールユニット (70) によって遮られることなく、正面側に露出させることができる。これにより、遊技に使用する各部品からの接続コード (96) を、遊技機 (10) の正面側から確実に接続することができる。

次に、本体キャビネット (20) に固定された上部ユニット用フレーム (43) に、リールユニット (70) を固定する。これにより、本体キャビネット (20) に、上部ユニット (40) の全ての部品が取り付けられたことになる。
次に、本体キャビネット (20) のコネクター接続部 (240) に、リールユニット (70) からの接続コード (96) を接続する。本体キャビネット (20) への上部ユニット (40) の固定及び結線が終了し、上部ユニット (40) の取り付け作業が終了する。

本発明に係る遊技機 (10) の組立方法は、リールユニット (70) を有していない上部ユニット (40) を、本体キャビネット (20) に固定した後、リールユニット (70) の取り付け位置の奥側の本体キャビネット (20) に形成されたコネクター接続部 (240) に、各部品からの接続コード (96) を取り付け、その後、リールユニット (70) を上部ユニット用フレーム (43) に固定している。したがって、リールユニット (70) を取り付けていない状態で、リールユニット (70) の取り付け位置の奥側に位置するコネクター接続部 (240) に各部品からの接続コード (96) を接続する作業を行うことができる。これにより、かかる接続作業において、リールユニット (70) が、接続作業の邪魔となることがなく、広いスペースの中で、接続作業を確実に行うことができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
（第一の実施の形態）

図１乃至図９は、本発明の第一の実施の形態を示すものである。
図１は上部ユニットの外観斜視図、図２は遊技機の分解斜視図、図３は案内手段の正面図、図４はリールロック手段の正面図、図５はロック手段の固定装置の分解組立図、図６は固定装置の正面図、図７はロック手段を取り付けている途中の状態の外観斜視図、図８はロック手段を取り付けた状態の外観斜視図、図９は封印手段の一部断面図をそれぞれ示すものである。

本実施の形態における遊技機10は、図２に示すように、大きく分けて、正面側に開口する正面開口部21を有する箱状の本体キャビネット20と、この本体キャビネット20の正面開口部21を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉30と、本体キャビネット20内部の上部に着脱自在な上部ユニット40と、本体キャビネット20内部の下部に配置するホッパーユニット90及び電源ユニット95とを備えている。

そして、遊技機10は、上部ユニット40を固定するための上部ロック手段101を有している。
前記前扉30は、本体キャビネット20の正面開口部21の上部を開閉可能に塞ぐ上扉31と、本体キャビネット20の正面開口部21の下部を開閉可能に塞ぐ下扉32とを備えている。

（本体キャビネット20）
上記本体キャビネット20は、底板23、側板24、天板25及び裏板26からなる正面側に開口する正面開口部21を有する筺体であり、高さ方向略中央部には、二つの側板24の間に水平方向に中板22が渡してある。そして、この中板22の上面には、上部ユニット40が載置された状態で固定され、中板22の下面には、遊技を行うための各部品に電力を供給するための電源ユニット95が固定されている。

本体キャビネット20の向かって左側の側板24の下部には、下扉32を回転可能な状態で軸支することができる下扉用係合部51が２個、形成されている。この下扉用係合部51は、金属からなり、上方に向かって突出する円柱棒状のものである。特に図示していないが、下扉32の向かって左側の裏面側には、かかる下扉用係合部51の上方から覆い被さるように差し込み可能な円筒状の下扉用円筒係合部を有しているものである。その下扉用円筒係合部が下扉用係合部51の回りを回転することにより、下扉32が、下扉用係合部51を回転の軸の中心として、開閉可能な状態となるものである。

同様に、本体キャビネット20の向かって右側の側板24の下部には、下扉32を閉じた状態でロックするための下扉用突出片52が、２個形成されている。この下扉用突出片52は、板状の金属からなり、板状の面を手前側に向けた状態で正面開口部21の内側に向かって突出しているものである。特に図示していないが、下扉32の向かって右側の裏面側には、かかる下扉用突出片52にロック可能な下扉用ロック機構が形成されているものである。この下扉用ロック機構は、常時、ばねにより上方向に付勢されるとともに上下方向に摺動可能な可動部を有し、この可動部には、上面側に斜辺と溝部とを有する係止片が二つ設けられており、この溝部に下扉用突出片52がひっかかることにより、下扉32を本体キャビネット20側にロックすることができるものである。

また、上記本体キャビネット20の左右の側板24の上部には、上部ユニット40を固定するための上部ロック手段101の固定装置110が形成されている。
また、本体キャビネット20は、その裏板26の内側上部中央に、遊技に使用する各部品からの接続コード96を接続するためのコネクター接続部240を有している。

（コネクター接続部240）
上記コネクター接続部240は、遊技機10を正面から見て、リールユニット70の奥側の位置の裏板26の内側に、形成されている。通常、リールユニット70は、遊技機10を正面から見て、遊技機10の上部の略中央に配置されるものである。このコネクター接続部240は、かかるリールユニット70の奥側に対応する位置の裏板26に形成されているものである。したがって、リールユニット70を取り外している状態のときは、コネクター接続部240は、遊技機10を正面から見ると、その正面中央の奥側の裏板26の内側表面に位置するものである。

したがって、リールユニット70を取り外している状態の上部ユニット40を、本体キャビネット20に固定しているとき、そのリールユニット70の取り付け位置の奥側にあるコネクター接続部240を介して、各部品からの接続コード96の接続作業をすることができる。すなわち、接続コード96の接続作業者は、遊技機10の正面側から見て、正面開口部21の上部の略中央正面に位置するコネクター接続部240に、複数の接続コード96を差し込んで、接続することができる。このコネクター接続部240の形成位置が、接続作業者から見て、正面中央に配置されていることにより、接続する部分を、間近に見ながら、作業をすることができる。また、遊技機10の真正面に位置する接続作業者は、接続コード96の端部のコネクターを持った手を、真っ直ぐ奥に伸ばすことにより、かかる接続コード96のコネクターを、コネクター接続部240の接続口に差し込むことができ、コネクター形状により、力が必要な場合であっても、自己の体重を容易に伸ばした手先にかけることができ、接続作業を、容易なものにすることができる。そして、コネクター接続部240を、上部ユニット40の左右上下の狭い周縁のスペースに設けずに、コネクター接続部240を、リールユニット70の裏の正面中央に配置することができたことにより、接続作業が不便となることを回避することができる。したがって、接続コード96の接続作業を確実且つ容易なものにすることができて、交換作業を容易にすることができる。

なお、このコネクター接続部240は、遊技に使用する各部品からの接続コード96のコネクターを差し込んで、接続するための複数の接続口を有するものである。具体的には、このコネクター接続部240は、主制御装置80からの２本の接続コード96と、サブ制御装置81からの１本の接続コード96と、リールユニット70からの１本の接続コード96と、電源ユニット95からの１本の接続コード96とが接続するための接続口を備えているものである。そして、この接続口の内部には、多数の棒状のピンが形成されてあり、接続コード96には、かかるピンに対応する位置に、そのピンが差込可能なピン孔が形成されている。そして、かかるピンの基端には、配線コードが接続され、予め定められた回路に基づいて、各部品へ配線されているものである。

（上扉31）
上扉31は、上部ユニット40の向かって左側の上扉用係合部41に回転自在かつ閉じた状態でロック可能に形成されている板状の扉であり、略中央部に前記回転リール71の図柄を正面側から見ることができる図柄表示窓33を有し、周囲に飾り部34を設けてある。そして、種々の表示を行うための表示装置が設けられているものである。

さらに、特に図示していないが、上述したように、上扉31の向かって左側の裏面には、前記上扉用係合部41に係合可能な上扉用円筒係合部が上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられており、上扉31の向かって右側の裏面には、上部ユニット40の上扉用突出片42に係合可能な上扉用ロック機構が形成されている。
（下扉32）
下扉32は、本体キャビネット20の向かって左側の下扉用係合部51に回転自在かつ閉じた状態でロック可能に形成されている板状の扉である。

下扉32の上部は、遊技機10を作動させるための操作部となっており、下扉32の上面は、閉扉時においては、上扉31よりも前側に突出するようになっている。また、下部には払い出されたメダルを溜めておくためのメダル受け35が形成されており、下扉32の略中央部には、遊技内容その他の表示をするための前パネル36が嵌め込まれている。

前記操作部としては、メダル投入口、ベットスイッチ、スタートスイッチ、ストップスイッチ及び鍵穴が形成されている。
さらに、特に図示していないが、上述したように、下扉32の向かって左側の裏面には、前記下扉用係合部51に係合可能な下扉用円筒係合部が上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられており、下扉32の向かって右側の裏面には、下扉用突出片52に係合可能な下扉用ロック機構が形成されている。

（上部ユニット40）
上記上部ユニット40は、本体キャビネット20の中板22の上面に載置されて、上部ロック手段101により固定可能なものである。
具体的には、上部ユニット40は、複数の部品（具体的には、主制御装置80、サブ制御装置81及びリールユニット70）を本体キャビネット20内部の上部にまとめて固定するための枠状の上部ユニット用フレーム43と、上部ユニット用フレーム43の内部に固定して、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール71及びこの回転リール71を回転させるための駆動モータを有するリールユニット70と、上部ユニット用フレーム43の内部に固定して、回転リール71やホッパーユニット90等の作動を制御するための主制御装置80と、演出情報のデータを記憶するとともに、各種演出を実行するためのサブ制御装置81とを備えている。

また、上部ユニット40は、リールユニット70を、上部ユニット用フレーム43に着脱自在に固定するためのリール固定手段74を備えている。
前記上部ユニット用フレーム43は、図１に示すように、四角枠を組み合わせたもので、全体として略直方体状の枠体からなるものである。この上部ユニット用フレーム43の手前側の左右の縦枠には、その縦枠から後方に延設されて、上部ロック手段101の固定装置110に係合可能な金属からなる鉤状のフック部130が取り付けられている。この上部ユニット用フレーム43は、その枠状の内部に複数の部品を取り付けるものである。具体的には、上部ユニット40の上部ユニット用フレーム43に取り付ける部品として、上述した回転リール71及びこの回転リール71を回転させるための駆動モータを有するリールユニット70と、主制御装置80と、サブ制御装置81とを有している。

上部ユニット用フレーム43の背面側には、リールユニット70と、主制御装置80との間の配線を行うため、リールユニット70から延びる接続コード96を差し込むためのリール接続部241が形成されている。このリール接続部241に、リールユニット70からの接続コード96の一方の端部のコネクターを差し込むことにより、主制御装置80とリールユニット70との間の接続が行われるものである。

上部ユニット用フレーム43の向かって左側の縦枠には、上扉31を回転可能な状態で軸支することができる上扉用係合部41が２個、形成されている。この上扉用係合部41は、金属からなり、上方に向かって突出する円柱棒状のものである。特に図示していないが、上扉31の向かって左側の裏面側には、かかる上扉用係合部41の上方から覆い被さるように差し込み可能な円筒状の上扉用円筒係合部を有しているものである。その上扉用円筒係合部が上扉用係合部41の回りを回転することにより、上扉31が、上扉用係合部41を回転の軸の中心として、開閉可能な状態となるものである。

同様に、上部ユニット用フレーム43の向かって右側の縦枠には、上扉31を閉じた状態でロックするための上扉用突出片42が、２個形成されている。この上扉用突出片42は、板状の金属からなり、板状の面を手前側に向けた状態で正面開口部21の内側に向かって突出しているものである。特に図示していないが、上扉31の向かって右側の裏面側には、かかる上扉用突出片42にロック可能な上扉用ロック機構が形成されているものである。この上扉用ロック機構は、常時、ばねにより上方向に付勢されるとともに上下方向に摺動可能な可動部を有し、この可動部には、上面側に斜辺と溝部とを有する係止片が二つ設けられており、この溝部に上扉用突出片42がひっかかることにより、上扉31を上部ユニット用フレーム43側にロックすることができるものである。

前記リールユニット70は、３個の回転リール71及びそれらを回転させるための３個の駆動モータを組み合わせたリールユニット本体72と、リールユニット本体72を、上部ユニット用フレーム43に固定するための四角枠状のリール用フレーム73とを備えている。このように、リールユニット70が、リールユニット本体72と、枠状のリール用フレーム73とを備えているため、交換作業の際、かかるリール用フレーム73を手で持つことができ、持ち運びに便利である。また、四角枠状のリール用フレーム73により覆われているため、搬送作業等において、複数のリールユニット70を何段にも積み重ねるような場合にも、リールユニット70内部の回転リール71を損傷させることなく、積み重ね作業を容易に行うことができる。

なお、本実施の形態では、リールユニット70を、リールユニット本体72と、このリールユニット本体72を覆う四角枠状のリール用フレーム73とから形成しているが、特にこれに限定されるものではない。具体的には、特に四角枠状のリール用フレーム73を、リールユニット本体72の周囲に形成しなくても良いものである。かかる場合、リールユニット本体72の下面に直接、リール固定手段74の摺動部220を取り付けることにより、リール用フレーム73による効果を除いて、本実施の形態と同様の作用及び効果を奏することができる。

（リール固定手段74）
上記リール固定手段74は、リールユニット70を、上部ユニット用フレーム43に着脱自在に固定するためのものである。
上記リール固定手段74は、リールユニット70の取り付け、取り外し作業の際、リールユニット70の前後方向の摺動を案内するための案内手段200と、リールユニット70が、上部ユニット用フレーム43の内部に収まった状態で、リールユニット70を固定するためのリールロック手段230とを備えている。

前記案内手段200は、上部ユニット用フレーム43に固定されて、リールユニット70を、上部ユニット用フレーム43の内部に案内するための案内レール210と、リールユニット70に固定されて、案内レール210に嵌り込んで、案内レール210に沿って、上部ユニット用フレーム43の内部に摺動可能な摺動部220とを備えている。

前記案内レール210は、その長手方向が、遊技機10の正面の位置から見て、前後方向となるように、上部ユニット用フレーム43の下部に、左右に１本ずつ、合計２本、ねじにより固定されている。そして、この案内レール210は、その縦断面形状が、略クランク状であって、金属からなるものである。
