本発明は、商品を積載状態で収納し個別に払い出す商品コラム群を備えた自動販売機に関する。

【従来の技術】
商品を積載状態で収納し個別に払い出す商品コラム群を備えた自動販売機では、従来から、商品コラム群から払い出される商品を受け入れて下方の商品取出口へ導くよう販売機本体の内部に商品通路を設けている。つまり、例えば、販売機本体の内部に配置した商品コラム群から商品を受け入れて落下させるよう、商品コラム群と扉体の間に空間を設けて商品通路としている。また、特開平9−319953号公報に記載されているように、販売機本体の内部に前後2列の商品コラム群を配置した場合、前後の商品コラム群の間の空間を共通の商品通路とし、各商品コラム群から払い出される商品をこの共通の商品通路に受け入れて落下させることにより商品取出口へ導くようにしたものが知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、前述のように商品コラム群と扉体の間の空間を商品通路としたり、前後の商品コラム群の間の空間を共通の商品通路としたものでは、商品が商品通路内でコラムの凹凸や開口部に引っかかって詰まりが発生することがある。そこで、商品コラムと扉体の間、あるいは前後の商品コラム群間に、商品通路を構成する商品通路手段を別途設けることが考えられるが、その商品通路手段として単に箱状の部材を配置したのでは、商品補充等の作業を行う際にそれが邪魔になり、商品コラム群のメンテナンス作業が容易でなくなってしまう。そこで、本出願人は、特願2001−44152において、前後の通路板部材を連結部材で揺動可能に連結し、自動販売機の扉体の開放に伴う商品通路手段の開放に連動して上下に折り畳まれ、また、扉体の閉鎖に伴う商品通路手段の閉鎖に連動して商品通路形成状態に戻るよう商品通路手段を構成することを提案した。しかし、このように商品通路手段を上下折り畳み式の構成した場合は、商品通路手段を閉じる際、折り畳み状態の通路板部材を持ち上げて商品通路形成状態へ戻すのに大きな力が必要で、商品通路手段を閉鎖するための操作が重くなり、また、商品通路手段を開ける際に、通路板部材の重みで商品通路手段が勢い良く折り畳まれてしまい、衝撃で大きな音や振動が発生するといった問題がある。

本発明の目的は、販売機内部において商品コラム群から払い出される商品をスムーズに落下させることができる商品通路手段を備え、且つ、その商品通路手段が商品コラム群のメンテナンス作業を妨げることがなく、扉体および商品通路手段の開放及び閉鎖の操作に支障を生じることのない自動販売機を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の自動販売機は、販売機本体と、販売機本体の前面に左右方向の一側を軸として開閉可能に設けられた扉体と、販売機本体の内部に配置され、商品を積載状態で収納し個別に前方へ払い出す商品コラム群と、使用時に商品コラム群と扉体との間となる位置に配置され、左右方向の一側を軸として開閉可能で、商品コラム群から払い出される商品を受け入れて下方へ案内するための商品通路を構成する商品通路手段を備え、前記商品通路手段は、商品コラム群の前面に沿って商品通路後方側のシュート板を構成するよう配置された第一の通路板部材と、第一の通路板部材に対向して商品通路前方側のシュート板を構成するよう配置された第二の通路板部材と、これら第一の通路板部材と第二の通路板部材とを連結し、第一の通路板部材と第二の通路板部材とを離反させて商品通路を形成する商品通路形成状態と、第一の通路板部材と第二の通路板部材の少なくとも一方が他方に対し横方向へずれるとともに他方に近接して折り畳まれる折畳状態とに相対移動可能とする連結機構とを有することを特徴とする。

この場合、商品通路手段は、第一の通路板部材と第二の通路板部材の少なくとも一方他方に対し横方向にずらしつつ他方に近接させて折り畳み状態とし、商品コラム群に近接対向する位置から離反させて、商品コラム群の前面にスペースを確保するようにでき、商品補充や詰まり解除などのメンテナンス作業が容易になる。また、商品通路手段は折り畳み方向が横方向であって、商品通路手段の閉鎖に連動する商品通路形成に際し通路板部材を持ち上げる必要が無いため、商品通路形成状態へ戻すための操作が軽く、また、商品通路手段が折り畳まれる際、通路板部材の重みで衝撃が発生することはなく、操作をスムーズに行える。

また、この自動販売機は、商品通路手段の開閉に連動し、商品通路手段の閉鎖位置で第一の通路板部材と第二の通路板部材とを商品通路形成状態に切り換えるとともに商品通路手段の開放位置で第一の通路板部材と第二の通路板部材とを折畳状態に切り換える連動機構有するものであってよい。この場合、商品通路手段は自身の閉鎖に連動して商品通路を形成し、商品通路手段自身の開放に連動して折り畳まれる。

また、この自動販売機は、扉体と閉鎖時の商品通路手段の第二の通路板部材の間に、一側を軸として回動可能に配置され、商品を積載状態で収納して個別に順次後方へ払い出す第二の商品コラム群が設けられたものであってよい。その場合、商品通路手段が閉鎖され商品通路が形成された状態で、第二の商品コラム群から払い出された商品もまた、商品通路内に受け入れられ下方へ案内されて、スムーズに落下する。そして、扉体を開放し折り畳み状態となった商品通路手段を回動させて、第二の商品コラム群に近接対向する位置から離反させることにより、第二の商品コラム群の前面にスペースを確保することもでき、商品補充や詰まり解除などのメンテナンスが容易になる。

以下、本発明の実施の形態の一例を図面に基づいて説明する。

この例に示す自動販売機は、前面が開放されている箱状の販売機本体1と、この販売機本体1の前面を開閉する扉体2を備えている。扉体2は、販売機本体1の前面に正面視にて左側を軸として開閉可能に取り付けられている。

販売機本体1の内部には、各々商品sを上下方向に集積し載置した状態で収納する商品コラム3を多段且つ横方向に複数並べた構成の第一の商品コラム群4が固定的に配置され、扉体2の後面には、第一の商品コラム群4と同じく各々商品sを上下方向に集積し載置した状態で収納する商品コラム5を多段且つ横方向に複数並べた構成の第二の商品コラム群6が、正面視にて左側を軸として回動可能に取り付けられている。また、第一の商品コラム群4と第二の商品コラム群6の間には、各商品コラム群4,6から払い出される商品sを受け入れて下方へ案内するための商品通路7(商品シュート)を構成する商品通路手段8が、正面視にて左側を扉体と同軸として開閉可能に配置されている。なお、商品通路手段の閉鎖位置は、自動販売機使用時の商品通路手段の位置(図1参照)をいい、開放位置は、メンテナンス等で扉体が開放され、それに伴って商品通路手段が回動した位置(図2参照)をいう。

商品通路手段8を扉体2に固定するフック等の扉連結手段(図示しない)が設けられ、これによって、通常、商品通路手段8は扉体2に固定される。そのため、通常は扉体2の開閉動作に伴って商品通路手段8が開閉する。つまり、扉体2の開閉動作を行うだけで商品通路手段8が開閉され、商品通路手段8を商品通路形成状態と商品通路折畳状態に切り換えることができる。また、その場合、扉体2と商品通路手段8とを連結しているフック等の扉連結手段を外すことで、扉体2を開いた状態で商品通路手段8を単独で開閉することができ、それにより第二の商品コラム群6のメンテナンスを行うことができる。なお、扉連結手段は、フックの他、ボルト等で連結するものであってもよい。

商品通路手段8は、第一の商品コラム群の前面に沿って商品通路後方側のシュート板を構成するよう配置された板状の第一の通路板部材15と、第一の通路板部材15に対向して商品通路前方側のシュート板を構成するよう配置された板状の第二の通路板部材16と、第一の通路板部材15を第二の通路板部材16に対し離反して商品通路7を形成する商品通路形成状態と、第二の通路板部材16に対し横方向へずれるとともに近接して折り畳まれる折畳状態とに移動可能とするよう、第一の通路板部材15と第二の通路板部材16とを上部中央寄りで揺動自在に連結する連結部材17からなる連結機構と、第一の通路板部材15と第二の通路板部材16との間の両側端を連結し、第一の通路板部材15の側端及び第二の通路板部材16の側端を軸として回動可能で、第一の通路板部材15の第二の通路板部材16に対する横方向の移動に伴い回動して一緒に折り畳まれる側板19,20と、商品通路手段8の回動開閉に連動して、商品通路手段8の閉鎖位置で第一の通路板部材15と第二の通路板部材16とを商品通路形成状態に切り換えるとともに商品通路手段8の開放位置で第一の通路板部材15と第二の通路板部材16とを折畳状態に切り換える連動機構21とを有している。

第一の通路板部材15には、第一の商品コラム群4の各商品コラム3から商品sが払い出される商品払出位置に対応して、払い出される商品sを商品通路7内に受け入れる受入開口部22が形成されている。

また、係止部材27は、販売機本体内1の天井面に沿って曲折したレール状の縁を有するもので、その縁が、商品通路手段8が閉鎖される途中でローラ25に当接する案内部と、商品通路手段8を完全閉鎖時に商品通路形成状態に保持するようバネ部材26の付勢力(張力)に抗してローラ25を係止する係止部を構成し、販売機本体内1の天井面において、商品通路手段8を閉鎖時に商品通路形成状態に保持するようバネ部材26の付勢力(張力)に抗してローラ25を係止する位置に固定される。扉体2の開放時にはローラ25は係止部材27から離れ、商品通路手段8がバネ部材26の張力によって自動的に折り畳まれる。

この自動販売機は、商品通路手段8が閉じている時は、ローラ25が係止部材27の縁の係止部に係止されて商品通路手段8が商品通路形成状態に保持される(図6(a)参照)。そして、商品通路手段8が開放される時には、バネ部材26の張力を受けつつローラ25が係止部材27の縁の案内部を移動し、それによって、回動部材としての連結部材17が徐々に平面視にて右方向へ回動し、連結部材17に連結された第一の通路板部材15が第二の通路板部材16に対して右方向へ移動しつつ近接して折り畳まれていき、それに伴い側板19,20も回動して折り畳まれていく(図6(b)参照)。そして、さらに商品通路手段8が開くと、ローラ25が係止部材27から離れ、商品通路手段8はバネ部材26の張力により完全に折り畳まれた状態となる(図6(c)参照)。

また、商品通路手段8が閉鎖される時には、ローラ25が係止部材27の縁の案内部にに沿って扉体2の開放時とは逆方向へ移動し、それにより回動部材としての連結部材17が徐々に平面視にて左方向へ回動し、連結部材17に連結された第一の通路板部材15が第二の通路板部材16に対し左方向へ移動しつつ離反し、それに伴って側板19,20も回動して起き上がり、商品通路7が形成される。

このように連結機構によって第一の通路板部材15を第二の通路板部材16に対して横方向に折り畳み可能に連結することにより、商品通路手段8を開放時に折り畳んで商品補充等のスペースを確保するようにできるとともに、商品通路手段8を閉じて商品通路を形成する際の商品通路手段8を閉じる力が小さくてすみ、また、商品通路手段8はバネ部材26の張力のみで折り畳まれ、折畳動作時に通路板部材の重みで衝撃が発生し大きな音や振動が発生するという問題が生じない。また、商品通路手段8は横方向に折り畳まれるため、商品通路7の両側面を板状部材(側板19,20)にて形成でき、それにより、商品払出時に商品通路7の側面から商品sがこぼれてしまうことを防ぐことができる。

第一の商品コラム群4のメンテナンス作業は、図2に示すように扉体2と商品通路手段8を共に開放した状態で行う。この時、商品通路手段8は第一の通路板部材15が第二の通路板部材16に近接して折り畳まれるため、第二の通路板部材16と販売機本体1側の第一の商品コラム群4との間隔が拡大し、第一の商品コラム群4への商品補充や詰まり解除等のメンテナンスを容易に行うことができる。また、第二の商品コラム群6のメンテナンス作業は、扉体2を開放し、扉体2と商品通路手段8を連結しているフックを外し、さらに図3に示すように商品通路手段8を閉鎖方向へ回動させて扉体2側の第二の商品コラム群6から離した状態で行う。この時、商品通路手段8は閉鎖位置になるまで折畳状態に保たれたまま回動可能で、第二の通路板部材16と第二の商品コラム群6との間隔が拡大し、第二の商品コラム群6への商品補充や詰まり解除等のメンテナンスを容易に行うことができる。

また、いずれの場合も、扉体2を開放すると、それに伴って商品通路手段8が開放され、商品通路手段8が折り畳まれて、商品通路形成状態のときの厚みの数分の一程度の厚みになるため、必ずしも扉体2と商品通路手段8を大きく開放しなくても作業の邪魔にならないようすることができ、自動販売機の設置場所の周囲に扉体2と商品通路手段8を大きく開放するスペースがない場合であってもメンテナンス作業を容易に行うことができ、また、扉体2を大きく開かないですむので防犯上の安全性を確保できる。

この自動販売機において、商品通路手段8の下端は、商品取出部14に連通されている。そして、商品sは、販売要求に応じて第一及び第二の商品コラム群4,6のいずれかの商品コラム3,5から払い出され、第一及び第二の通路板部材15,16の受入開口部22,23を通じて商品通路7内に進入し、商品通路7内を落下して商品取出部13へ案内される。この時、払い出される商品sの払出位置より下方の商品通路7内に臨む各受入開口部22,23は弾性シート24により塞がれており、商品sは下部の受入開口部17,18に引っかかることなく落下する。こうして各受入開口部22,23から商品通路7内へ商品Sが払い出され、払い出された商品sは商品通路7内を落下して確実に下方へ案内される。

なお、この例では、商品通路手段8の左側が扉体2を同軸に取り付けられているが、扉体2と商品通路手段8はいずれも右側で同軸に取り付けられたものであってもよい。また、商品通路手段8は、第二の通路板部材16の一側を第二の商品コラム群6の商品コラムフレーム10の一側に回動開閉可能に支持するようにしてもよい。この場合には、商品通路手段8単体で閉鎖動作を行っても扉体2と軸の位置が違い、商品通路手段8を閉鎖位置に移動させることができない。そのため、フック等の扉連結手段で扉体2に商品通路手段8を固定し、扉体2の閉鎖動作に伴って商品通路手段8を閉鎖位置へ動作させる。これにより、扉体2への商品通路手段8の固定忘れをなくすことができる。また、フック等で扉体2に商品通路手段8を固定するので、扉体2の開閉動作に伴って商品通路手段8が開閉動作を行い、商品通路手段8の商品通路形成状態と商品通路折畳状態の切り換えを扉体2の開閉動作によって行うことができる。図7〜図9は、第二の通路板部材16の左側を商品コラムフレーム10の左側に回動開閉可能に支持するようにした実施の形態を示している。図中、図1〜図3と共通する部分は同一の符号を付している。

請求項1に係る発明によれば、商品通路手段を商品通路形成状態とすることにより、商品コラム群から払い出された商品を商品通路内に受け入れて下方へ案内し、スムーズに落下させることができるとともに、商品通路手段を折畳状態として商品コラム群の前面に商品補充や詰まり解除などのメンテナンス作業のためのスペースを確保するようにでき、しかも、折り畳み方向が横方向であって、商品通路形成に際し通路板部材を持ち上げる必要が無いため、商品通路手段を商品通路形成状態へ戻す操作が軽く、また、商品通路手段が折り畳まれる際、通路板部材の重みで衝撃が発生することはなく、操作をスムーズに行える。
