本発明は、厚みの異なる板材が突き合わせ溶接されたブランク材、いわゆる、テーラードブランク材からドアパネルをプレス成形するための方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
車両の後部に取り付けられるテールゲートのインナパネルをテーラードブランク材からプレス成形する場合、従来は図3及び図4に例示されているように、ブランク材1の上部2は、車体への取付けヒンジが設けられる関係上とくに強度が要求されるため厚板で形成されている一方、ブランク材1の下部3は比較的薄板で形成されていて、上部2及び下部3が両者の接合線4の位置で突き合わせ溶接されており、図3に2点鎖線で示す位置にボデー側のウェザストリップ5が当接する予定となっているが、このブランク材1から図5で例示されているテールゲートのインナパネル10をプレス成形すると、図6に示されているように、薄板製下部3の端縁では接合線4に沿って皺11が形成される。
なお、12はテールゲートのアウタバネル、13はテールゲートの窓ガラスである。

従って、ボデー側のウェザストリップ5に対しテールゲートのインナパネル10が当接したときには、ウェザストリップ5とインナパネル10との間に皺11の部分で隙間14が発生する結果、ウェザストリップ5によるシール性能が悪化するという問題があった。

また、特開2001−259751号公報には、集合ブランク材の接合部付近に大きな流入抵抗が付与されるビードを成形するようにしたものが示されているが、このビードは、厚みの異なる板材の接合部に跨がってウェザストリップが当接する個所の両側に設けられるものではない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、ドアパネルがテーラードブランク材からプレス成形されていても、テーラードブランク材における厚板及び薄板の接合線に沿って薄板側に皺が発生することを防止しようとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
このため、本発明にかかるドアパネル成形方法は、テーラードブランク材における厚板と薄板との接合線に跨がってウェザストリップが当接する個所の両側にそれぞれ近接し上記接合線と交差するビードを、上記厚板と上記薄板との接合部位に部分的に形成するように、上記テーラードブランク材をプレス加工している。

すなわち、テーラードブランク材における厚板と薄板との接合線に跨がってウェザストリップが当接する個所の両側にそれぞれ近接しそれぞれ上記接合線と交差するビードを、上記厚板と上記薄板との接合部位に部分的に形成するように、テーラードブランク材にプレス加工しているので、プレス加工時にはウェザストリップが当接する個所のテーラードブランク材における素材が上記接合線に沿って各ビード側へそれぞれ引き込まれるので、上記個所の素材にはとくに強い張力が作用することとなって、上記接合線に沿って薄板側に皺が発生することを容易に防止することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面に示す本発明の実施形態例について、前記従来技術との同等部分にはそれぞれ同一符号を付けて説明する。

図1及び図2において、ブランク材1の上部2は厚板で形成されている一方、ブランク材1の下部3は比較的薄板で形成されていて、上部2及び下部3が両者の接合線4の位置で突き合わせ溶接されており、図1に2点鎖線で示す位置にボデー側のウェザストリップ5が当接する予定となっているが、車両の後部に取り付けられるテールゲートのインナパネル20をこのテーラードブランク材1からプレス成形するとき、接合線4に跨がってウェザストリップ5が当接する個所21の両側にそれぞれ近接し、図1の破線及び図2に例示されているように、接合線4と交差するビード22をテーラードブランク材1にそれぞれ部分的にプレス加工するようにしている。

従って、両ビード22をプレス加工する際、ブランク材1の素材は接合線4に沿って各ビード22側へ、すなわち、接合線4に沿って両側へ引き込まれるので、ウェザストリップ5がインナパネル20に当接する個所21ではブランク材1の素材にとくに強い張力が確実に作用することとなる結果、プレス成形後のインナパネル20において、接合線4に沿い下部3の薄板部分に皺が発生することを容易に防止することができる。

このため、テールゲートのインナパネル20に対するボデー側ウェザストリップ5のシール性能を常に良好に保持させることができる特色があり、しかも、各ビード22の成形には格別のコスト上昇を招くこともないと共に、各ビード22は比較的小さいものでよいため、ビード22の成形によってテールゲートの外観がとくに損なわれることもないものである。

なお、上記実施形態例は、車両におけるテールゲートのインナパネルをプレス成形しているが、車両におけるサイドドア、トランクリッド、エンジンフード、等のパネルをテーラードブランク材からプレス成形する場合にも同様に本発明を実施することができて、上記実施形態例と同等の作用効果を奏することができるのはいうまでもない。

【発明の効果】
本発明にかかるドアパネル成形方法によれば、ドアパネルがテーラードブランク材からプレス成形されていても、テーラードブランク材における厚板及び薄板の接合線に沿って薄板側に皺が発生することを容易に防止することができるので、上記接合線に跨がってドアパネルに当接するウェザストリップのシール性能を常に良好に保持させることができる。
