側面に押込式の着火レバーを有するガスライターでは、燃料補給のためにライターを逆さに持って底部を上向きにし、底面に露出した注入口にボンベのノズルを差込んで燃料補給を行う際に、ライターを握り持った手により誤って着火レバーを押し込み、着火燃焼が生ずる危険があった。

この燃料補給時の不測の着火燃焼による危険防止として、安全装置を設ける必要がある。従来のロック式安全装置はライター不使用時の着火作動を防止するためのものであるが、ライターは常時ロック状態にあることから、ライターを逆さに持って燃料補給を行う際の着火レバーの誤作動防止となるが、使用ごとにロック解除操作を要する不便さがあり、またまたロック解除操作部材をライター外面に設けなければならないことから、外観の上からも好ましくなく、側面に押込式の着火レバーを有するガスライターには採用し難い課題を有する。

この発明の目的は、ライターを逆さにしたときに自動的にストッパーが作動して、ライター側部の着火レバーの押込みが防止され、また元に戻したときにもストッパーが自動的に作動して、着火レバーの押込を可能とする新たな構成の安全装置を内蔵したガスライターを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的によるこの発明は、上部に燃料バルブを有し底部に注入バルブを有する燃料タンクと、燃料タンク上に位置する燃焼装置と、燃料タンク側部に位置する圧電着火装置とをケース内に備え、圧電着火装置側のケース側面に着火レバーを回動自在に下端を軸承して設け、その着火レバーの上部内側に、該着火レバーに押圧されて燃料バルブと圧電着火装置の両方を作動するカム部材を回動自在に軸設したガスライターにおいて、上記カム部材の下側の燃料タンク壁面に縦長のガイド溝を凹設し、そのガイド溝にストッパーを自重により可動自在に収容してタンク外面に突設するとともに、カム部材に下端部がガイド溝の上端部と重合する長さの側板を設け、その側板とストッパーとの当接により着火レバーの誤操作を防止してなるというものてあり、上記ストッパーは球体からなるというものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
図中1はライターのケースで、内部に燃料タンク2と内燃式の燃焼装置3及び圧電着火装置4とを備えている。上記燃料タンク2は上部に燃料バルブ5を、底部に注入バルブ6を有し、その燃料バルブ5に燃料チューブ7を接続して上記焼装置3が、燃料タンク2の上に起立・転倒自在に軸承して設けてある。また燃焼装置3にはケース蓋板1aが取り付けてある。

上記燃料タンク2の側部には、圧電着火装置4が可動部材4aを上側にして設けてあり、その圧電着火装置4が位置するケース1の側面には、ケース1の一部を形成する着火レバー8が、下端を燃料タンク側に軸承してケース内へ回動自在に設けてある、この着火レバー8の上部内側には、上記燃料バルブ5と圧電着火装置4の両方を作動するカム部材9が、自由端を可動部材4aに当接して、燃料タンク上の支持部材10に付勢ばねを設けて回動自在に軸承して設けてある。

このカム部材9の下側の燃料タンク2の壁面(図では正面)には、所要深さの縦長のガイド溝11が凹設してある。このガイド溝11には金属による球体(縦長の短柱体であってもよい)のストッパー12が、その一部をタンク外面に突出させて、ガイド溝内を自重により移動するように可動自在に収容してある。

しかし、図3に示すように、ライターが逆さのときには、上記ストッパー12が自重によりガイド溝11内を、下端部から下側となった上端部に自動的に落下移動して、タンク外面に突出した部分が側板9aの回動方向を遮るよ障害となって位置するので、その状態で着火レバー8をケース内に押込んでも、図4に示すように、カム部材9の回動は側板9aがストッパー12に当たるところまでとなり、それ以上の着火レバー9の押込みを阻止する安全装置として機能するようになる。
