この発明は、ベース部材とベース部材を覆うカバー部材を互いに一体に結合して、下端に左右一対の開口部を向い合わせに形成したほぼ円弧形をなす中空の錠本体と、操作摘みを器体外に臨出させて、牽引ばねとともに錠本体内に摺動自在に嵌装した同じく円弧形の錠杆と、該錠杆を施錠位置に掛止するストッパーとを備えた自転車用リング錠に関するもので、施錠時に錠杆を挿通する錠本体の開口部を増強することにより、錠前が不法に破壊され難くしたことを特長とする。

【従来の技術】
従来のこの種のリング錠は、例えば本出願人の先願、特開平8−120994号公報の自転車用リング錠のように、上型(カバー部材)を下型(ベース部材)に重ね合わせてほぼ円弧形をなす中空の錠本体を形成し、錠本体の下端に、施錠時に錠杆体を挿通する左右一対の開口部を向い合わせに設けるようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明が解決しようとする課題は、上記のようにして設けた開口部の欠点を除去するもので、断面U形のベース部材に同じく断面U形のカバー部材を向い合わせに結合させた構造によってもたらされる強度の低さを解消し、該開口部を破壊に十分耐えられるよう補強することにある。
特に近年、例えばカバー部材に樹脂等の成形品を用いる場合が多くなり、開口部を形成する素材の強度低下を補う必要が生じている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そこで本発明は、上記の課題を解決するため、ベース部材とベース部材を覆うカバー部材を互いに一体に結合して、下端に左右一対の開口部を向い合わせに形成したほぼ円弧形の中空体をなす錠本体と、操作摘みを器体外に臨出させて、牽引ばねとともに錠本体内に摺動自在に嵌装した同じく円弧形の錠杆と、該錠杆を施錠位置に掛止するストッパーとを備えた自転車用リング錠において、前記ベース部材から起立して左右一対の開口部の内周面にリブを形成して支柱状に作用する起立片と、前記起立片に重ね合わされるように前記カバー部材から延設された起立片と、上記両起立片に共通して設けた前記錠杆の挿通口とを設け、前記ベース部材を金属板製ベース部材としたことを特徴とする自転車用リング錠を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記のように構成した本発明のリング錠は、前記ベース部材から起立して左右一対の開口部の内周面にリブを形成して支柱状に作用する起立片と、前記起立片に重ね合わされるように前記カバー部材から延設された起立片と、上記両起立片に共通して設けた前記錠杆の挿通口とを設け、前記ベース部材を金属板製ベース部材としたことから、通常の衝撃などには十分耐えられる強度を具えた構造になる。

【実施例】
以下に、本発明の実施例を図面について説明する。
図において、1は、従来公知のリング錠と同様にして、ベース部材aとカバー部材bとを平面方向で互いに向い合わせに結合し、ほぼ円弧形の中空体に一体化した錠本体、2は、操作摘み3を器体外に臨出させて錠本体1内に摺動自在に嵌装した同じく従来公知の円弧形の錠杆である。

4は、端部を錠杆2と錠本体1とに取り付けられて常時錠杆2を引き込み方向に牽引する牽引ばね、5は、図示省略の錠機構と付勢ばねを従来公知のリング錠と同様に付設されて、図1中に虚線で示すように錠杆2を施錠位置に前進させた場合に、上記付勢ばねに作用されて該錠杆2の後端を掛止し、牽引ばね4に抗してリング錠の施錠状態を保持するストッパーである。

上記のように構成したこのリング錠の開口部6a、6bは、挿通口9を設けた起立片7、8が、図1に示すように、開口部の内周面にリブを形成し、これが支柱状、隔壁状に作用するので、十分に強度を具えたものとなり、前述した従来の錠前のようにU字形を向かい合わせにした構造のものとは異なり通常の衝撃等には破損することなく十分耐えられる構造になる。

なお、本発明に係る開口部6a、6bは、実施例に示すように向かい合う双方に設ける場合のほか、施錠時に錠杆2の先端部を嵌合する図示右方の一方のみに設ける場合もある。

また、実施例では金属板製ベース部材aを用い、カバー部材bには樹脂成形品を用いているが、本発明の実施に際して、上記ベース部材aとカバー部材bの材質とか形状、ストッパー5とそれに関連させる錠機構と付勢ばねの構造等は、本発明の要旨に沿って適宜に設計変更できることはいうまでもない。

【発明の効果】
以上のようにして、開口部を互いに重なり合う二重の起立片とそれに共通して設けた挿通口とで構成した本発明リング錠によれば、開口部を十分に強度を具えた構造にすることができるので、不法に衝撃が与えられて破壊されるようなことを防止でき、施錠の信頼性が向上する。本発明には以上のような優れた効果がある。
