本発明は、天板を支持体に簡便な作業で着脱できるようにした天板付家具に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来より、天板を脚や袖構造体等の支持体に装着するに際して、天板を支持体に載せ置いた位置から所定方向へスライドさせ、そのスライドの終端位置で天板を支持体に固定するような構成を有する天板付家具が考えられている。特にスライド終端位置で天板を支持体に固定する構造としては、天板の下方に潜り込んで下方から天板を支持体に対してネジ止めするもの(例えば、特許文献1参照)や、側方から天板を支持体にネジ止めするもの(例えば、特許文献2参照)が一般的である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、天板の下方からネジ止めする構造では、わざわざ屈み込んで天板下に潜り込み、窮屈な姿勢でドライバ等の工具を操作しなければならないという不具合を伴う。一方、天板の側方からネジ止めする構造では、例えば複数の天板付家具を天板の側端部同士を当接させて隣接配置している場合、その配置位置から天板付家具を移動させないとネジ止め作業を行うことができず、特に天板が大型である場合や支持体が引出し付の袖構造体等の重量物である場合には、天板の固定作業が極めて面倒である。また、上記何れの構成であっても、天板のスライド方向と固定方向とがほぼ直交するため、ネジに作用する剪断力が極めて大きく、天板を固定した状態でスライド方向へ外力を加えると、ネジなどが損傷するおそれがある。

そこで本発明は、以上のような問題に鑑みて、天板をスライド終端位置において支持体に対して容易に固定することができるようにした天板付家具を提供することを主たる目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
すなわち、本発明の天板付家具は、天板と、自立性を有し天板を支持する支持体と、天板を支持体に載せ置いたスライド始端位置と支持体に固定すべきスライド終端位置との間で支持体に対して相対的にスライド移動させるスライド係合機構とを具備するものであって、スライド係合機構が、天板をスライド終端位置に位置付けた状態で、支持体の正面側から天板の使用縁側と支持体とを固定する固定機構を備え、支持体の上端部に上方へ突出させた上向突部を形成するとともに、天板に下方へ突出させた下向突部を形成し、天板のスライド移動により下向突部が上向突部に当接又は近接する位置を前記スライド終端位置とし、支持体の上端部に上方へ突出する枠体を設け、この枠体の前壁を前記上向突部とするとともに、天板をスライド終端位置に位置付けた際に前記下向突部を枠体内に収容し、天板のスライド移動に伴って下向突部が枠体内を移動するようにしていることを特徴とするものである。

このような構造の天板付家具であれば、天板をスライド終端位置において支持体に固定するに際して、天板の下へ潜り込んでドライバ等の工具を操作したり、複数隣接配置した天板付家具を移動させることなく、支持体の正面側から天板を固定することができるため、その作業性を向上することが可能となる。

天板をスライド始端位置からスライド終端位置へ移動させ、そのスライド終端位置で確実に停止させることによって、天板の支持体への固定作業の確実性を実現するためには、支持体の上端部に上方へ突出させた上向突部を形成するとともに、天板に下方へ突出させた下向突部を形成し、天板のスライド移動により下向突部が上向突部に当接又は近接する位置を前記スライド終端位置とすることが望ましい。

この場合、具体的な固定機構の構成としては、前記上向突部と、前記下向突部と、スライド終端位置で支持体の正面に対して奥行方向に重合しているこれら上向突部と下向突部とを移動不能に固定する固定具とを具備するものとすることが好適である。さらに、天板の固定作業の簡易化を図るためには、上向突部及び下向突部に、スライド終端位置において支持体の奥行方向へ連通する貫通孔をそれぞれ形成し、固定具を、下向突部の貫通孔の形成位置に取り付けたナット部材と、支持体の正面側から上向突部及び下向突部の各貫通孔に挿入され前記ナット部材に締着されるネジ部材とから構成するとよい。

また、天板のスライド時におけるスライド方向以外へのブレを低減するためには、支持体の上端部に上方へ突出する枠体を設け、この枠体の前壁を前記上向突部とするとともに、天板をスライド終端位置に位置付けた際に前記下向突部を枠体内に収容し、天板のスライド移動に伴って下向突部が枠体内を移動するようにすることが好ましい。

具体的に好ましいスライド係合機構としては、天板又は支持体の一方に設けた突出部と、この突出部を挿入すべく他方に設けた係合孔とを具備し、スライド始端位置で天板を支持体に載せ置いた際に突出部の突出端側を係合孔に挿入し、天板のスライド終端位置で突出部を係合孔に上動不能に係り合わせるようにしたものが挙げられる。

より具体的にスライド係合機構として採用するのに適しているものには、支持体に設けた前記突出部たる段付ピンと、この段付ピンを挿入すべく係合部材に設けた前記係合孔たるダルマ孔とを具備するものとし、スライド始端位置で天板を支持体に載せ置いた際に段付ピンの突出端側をダルマ孔の挿脱口に挿入し、天板のスライド終端位置で段付ピンの突出端側をダルマ孔の挿脱口の隣接位置にある小孔側に引き込んで上下方向に係り合わせるように構成したものが挙げられる。

特に、天板が平面視L字形をなす異形天板である場合には一般に天板が大型であるため、支持体として、この異形天板の両側端部をそれぞれ支持する一対の端部支持を具備するものを採用し、これら端部支持によって異形天板の両側端部を同時に支持するとともに、使用縁側が相寄る方向を向く一対の端部支持の正面側から端部支持と天板とを前記固定機構によって固定するように構成することが適切である。この場合、端部支持体としては引出しを備えた袖構造体を採用し、一対の端部支持の一方または双方にこの袖構造体を適用すると、天板の安定したスライド動作と、天板を固定するための十分な領域の確保とを実現することができる。

また、天板のスライド移動方向と、固定機構による天板の支持体に対する固定方向とが、同一方向となるように又は鋭角をなすように構成すると、固定機構により天板を支持体に固定するのに伴って天板をスライド終端位置側へ引き込むこととなるので、強固な固定が可能となり、また従来のように天板のスライド方向と固定方向とが直交する場合と比較すると固定機構に作用する剪断力を低減することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の一実施形態を、図面を参照して説明する。

このこの実施形態の天板付家具1は、図1に示すように支持体2に異形天板3を載せ置き、この異形天板3を支持体2に対し図8に矢印で示すように相対的にスライド移動させることによって、異形天板3の少なくとも2箇所を支持体2の対応部位に、その間に介在させたスライド係合機構5を介して同時に接続するようにしたものである。

図1に示す支持体2は、主たる支持要素である袖構造体4と、補助的な支持要素であるコーナー脚6とを具備する。袖構造体4は、図1、図2、図4、図5及び図6等に示すように、上壁4A、底壁4B、側壁及4C及び背壁4Dによって5面を閉止し前面側を開口させた収納空間を形成してなる筐体40と、この筐体40 の収納空間に出し入れ可能に収容される上下3組の引出し4E1,4E2,4E3とを備えた自立性のあるものである。背壁4Dには、後上方に向けて突出するオプション取付部材4Fが取り付けてある。コーナー脚6は、図1に示すように角パイプ状のもので、直交2面における前記オプション取付部材4Fの対応位置にオプション取付部材6Aを有している。そして、一対の袖構造体4を所定角度(90°)向きを変えて離間配置し、かつコーナー脚6の直交2面のうちの各面が各々最寄の袖構造体4の背壁4Dとそれぞれ面一となる位置に配置して、各袖構造体4とコーナー脚6との上端部間にそれぞれ角パイプ状のフレーム部材7を架け渡して固定することにより、これら一対の袖構造体4とコーナー脚6とを相互に接続して構造物として一体化している。また、この実施形態は、前記オプション取付部材4F、6Aを利用して、図1、図8、図9等に示すように、異形天板3の反使用縁3bの2辺3b1,3b2にそれぞれ位置決め部材たる背面パネル9を取り付け、またコーナー部にコーナーボックス10を取り付けるようにしている。

一方、異形天板3は、図2、図3、図8等に示すように、前記一対の袖構造体4及びコーナー脚6の上方をほぼ覆う大きさの平面視L字形をなす木製のものである。反使用縁3bは相互に直交する2辺3b1、3b2からなり、各辺3b1、3b2の中間部やコーナー部等には、それぞれ使用縁3a側に凹む凹所3C、3Dが設けてある。これら凹所3C,3Dは、上述した背面パネル9を取り付けたことにより、異形天板3とパネル9の壁面9Bとの間に配線類を落とし込むための空間として機能する。また、この異形天板3の使用縁3a側は、袖構造体4に支持される端部領域が対応する反使用縁3bの辺と平行をなし、コーナー脚6と対面する中央領域はコーナー脚6側に向けて大きく抉った形状をなし、これら中央領域と端部領域との間が滑らかに連続させてある。このような異形天板形状は、主として中央領域に着座した者が、コーナー部にPCのモニターやキーボード等を無理なく有効活用でき、また、左右両側に位置する天板面3Aをサイドデスク的に有効利用できる環境を提供するためのものである。しかしてこの異形天板3は、反使用縁3bの直交2辺がなす内角を2等分する直線を境にして、平面視左右対称形状をなしている。

そして、本実施形態は前記スライド係合機構5を、袖構造体4の上壁4Aに取り付けた枠体たる天板取付部材5Aと、天板3の下面に取り付けた係合部材5B及び被固定部材11との間に構成している。

天板取付部材5Aは、図1〜図6等に示すように、袖構造体4の上壁4Aの内側に収まる平面形状をなす底板5A1と、この底板5A1の左右両縁より起立する起立片5A2及び前縁より起立する上向突出部たる前壁5A4とを具備するスチール製の上方へ開放する枠体状をなすもので、左右の起立片5A2の前後2箇所に、起立端から相寄る向きに水平片5A3を形成し、前壁5A4にも前方へ突出させた水平片5A5を形成している。一方、係合部材5Bは、図1〜図3並びに図7等に示すように、底板5B1及び起立片5B2によってチャネル構造をなしその起立端から相離れる向きに取付片5B3を突出させてなるもので、この係合部材5Bを異形天板3の下面3Bに対して、当該異形天板3の所定取付位置において前記袖構造体4の天板取付部材5Aに対向することとなる部位に取り付けている。この係合部材5Bは、その長手方向を天板3の反使用縁3b側の辺に平行な方向(換言すれば、袖構造体4の幅方向、引出し4E1、4E2,4E3の出し入れと直交する方向)に合致させて配置される。

また、被固定部材11は、異形天板3の下面3Bの前端部における両側端部に取り付けられ、下向突出部たる垂下片11Aを形成したものである。この被固定部材11は、L字形金具からなるものであり、一片11Dを異形天板3の下面3Bにビス止めなどにより取り付け、他片を垂下片11Aとして異形天板3の下面3Bからほぼ鉛直方向に垂下させている。この垂下片11Aは、後述するように前記天板取付部材5Aの前壁5A4と共にスライド係合機構5が有する固定機構を構成するものであり、この垂下片11Aと前壁5A4とを相互に固定することにより、異形天板3を所定位置で固定するようにしてある。そのための構成として、前壁5A4には水平方向に穿設した貫通孔5A4hを形成し、それに対応する垂下片11Aの位置にも同様の貫通孔11Ahを形成している。また、垂下片11Aの貫通孔11Ahを形成した内面側には、ナット部材11Cを溶接により取り付けている。本実施形態では、これら貫通孔5A4h、貫通孔11Ah及びナット部材11Cを各2つずつ設けている。

そして、天板取付部材5Aの底壁5A1における後端部側に左右一対の取付孔(図示省略)を設けて突出部たる段付ピン8を上方からねじ込んで取り付ける一方、係合部材5Bの底板5B1に前記一対の取付孔と同一ピッチで長手方向2箇所に係合孔たるダルマ孔5B4を形成して、異形天板3のスライド始端位置Pで異形天板3を袖構造体4に載せ置いた際に図7(a)に想像線で示すように段付ピン8の突出端側の頭部81をダルマ孔5B4の大径な挿脱口5B41に挿入し、異形天板3のスライド終端位置Qで前記頭部81を同図(b)、(c)、(d)に示すように前記挿脱口5B4の隣接位置に設けた規制部たる小孔5B42、5B43の何れか一方に引き込んで上下方向に係り合わせるようにしている。小孔5B42,5B43は段付ピン8の軸部82よりも開口が大きく頭部81よりも開口が小さく設定されており、挿脱口5B41の略中心から小孔5B42,5B43の略終端までの距離は、異形天板3をスライド移動させる距離に対応している。

その際、この天板付家具1が異形天板3を2箇所において支持すべく袖構造体4を所定角度(90°)向きを変えて配置していることより、袖構造体4に取り付ける天板取付部材5Aや異形天板3の対応部位に取り付ける係合部材5Bの配置方向も図1、図2、図9等に明らかなように同一角度(90°)異なってくる。そこで、このような状況下においても、これら天板取付部材5Aや支持部材5Bを各袖構造体4に共通部材として使用して袖構造体4の段付ピン8と異形天板3側のダルマ孔5B4との係合を有効に実現することができるように、且つそのスライド係合を均等に行うことができるように、係合部材5Bに設けるダルマ孔5B4の形状及び向きに工夫を凝らしている。

先ず、この実施形態は、スライド移動方向を、図8に示すように異形天板3の使用縁3aや反使用縁3bの内角を二等分する二等分線方向(45°方向)に設定する。使用縁3aの内角は直線をなす端部領域の角度に相当する。これは、スライド係合機構5が所定角度(90°)をなして平面視ハの字形に一対に配置されている点に着目すれば、スライド移動方向は前記両スライド係合機構5のなす角を二等分する二等分線方向であるとも言える。そして、そのために必要な要件として、着座者から見て右側の袖4構造体の対応部位に位置する係合部材5Bのダルマ孔5B4と、左側の袖構造体4の対応部位に位置する係合部材5Bのダルマ孔5B4とは、ともに挿脱口5B41から前記二等分線方向に向いている必要がある。そこで、本実施形態は図3、図7、図8等に示すように、係合部材5Bのダルマ孔5B4に90°異なる方向にもう1つ小孔5B43を設けた二股形状を採用し、この係合部材5Bを90°回転させて左側の係合部材5Bとして配置したときに、そのもう一つの小孔5B43を前記二等分線方向を向かせるようにしている。

また、この天板付家具1においてスライド係合機構5は、異形天板3をスライド始端位置Pに誘導する位置決め機能と、異形天板3をスライド終端位置Qに固定する固定機構50とを備えている。位置決め機能は、前記パネル9やコーナーボックス10を利用することによって働くもので、図8に想像線で示すように、異形天板3の反使用縁3b側のコーナー部及び2辺3b1,3b2をコーナーボックス10や背面パネル9の前面9Bに突き当てることをもって、左右の袖構造体4におけるダルマ孔5B4の挿脱口5B41と段付ピン8とが合致する位置決めがなされるように設定している。段付ピン8が挿脱口5B41に挿入されると、異形天板3の天板面3Aが沈み込んで背面パネル9の上端9Aと略同一高さとなるようにして、目視と操作感によってスライド操作の準備ができたことを確認できるようになっている。また、固定機構50は、図1〜図3等に示すように、前記袖構造体4の上壁4Aに設けた天板取付部材5Aの前壁5A4と、異形天板3の下面3Bの対応部位に設けた垂下片11Aを有する被固定部材11との協働作用により働くもので、被固定部材11が異形天板3のスライド移動に伴って袖構造体4の前端部側へ移動し、垂下片11Aが前壁5A4に後方から突き当たる位置を、異形天板3のスライド移動の終端となるスライド終端位置Qとしている。そして、袖構造体4の正面側から前後に対応する天板取付部材5Aの前壁5A4に形成した貫通孔5A4hと被固定部材11の垂下片11Aに形成した貫通孔11Ahとにねじ部材11Bを挿し通してナット部材11Cに締めこむことによって、異形天板3をそのスライド終端位置Qに固定するようにしている。

次に、この実施形態における異形天板3の支持体2への取付手順について説明する。

先ず、異形天板3を、本来固定すべき位置よりも後方に変位させて支持体2に載せ置く。このとき、図8に想像線で示すように、異形天板3の反使用縁3b側のコーナー部ないし反使用縁3bを構成する2辺3b1,3b2を背面パネル9のコーナー部前面に突き当てれば、ダルマ孔5B4の挿脱口5B41と段付ピン8とを合致させるスライド始端位置Pに位置決めがなされ、載せ置いて異形天板3が沈み込んだときに段付ピン8の頭部81をダルマ孔5B4の挿脱口5B41に挿入することができる。次に、異形天板3に設けられた配線落とし込み用の凹所3D,3C等を利用し、その適宜部位を把持して、これを前記中心線方向にスライド移動させる。常に中心線方向に移動させることが好ましいが、段付ピン8とダルマ孔5B4の間にはクリアランスが存在し、そのクリアランスから多少の蛇行は許容されるため、操作し易ければその許容範囲で図8に矢印で示すようにジグザグに操作して、右側の袖構造体4における係合と左側の袖構造体4における係合とを交互に進行させるようにしてもよい。そして、異形天板3がスライドし得なくなった位置、すなわちスライド終端位置Qにまで移動したときに、袖構造体4の正面側からねじ部材11Bを用いて天板取付部材5Aの起立片5A4と異形天板3の下面3Bに設けた被固定部材11の垂下片11Aとを止着することによって、図8及び図9に示すように異形天板3の支持体2への取り付け作業を完了することができる。このとき、ネジ部材11Bとナット部材11Cとの締め付けによる異形天板3の固定方向は、袖構造体4の反使用端側から使用端側へ引っ張る方向であり、異形天板3のスライド始端位置Pからスライド終端位置Qへのスライド方向と鋭角(具体的に本実施形態では約45°)をなすため、ネジ部材11bをナット部材11Cに締め込むと異形天板3がスライド終端位置Q側へ引き込まれることになる結果、異形天板3を極めて強固に固定することができる。また、異形天板3をスライド終端位置Qにおいて固定した状態でスライド始端位置P側へ押し込む力を加えたとしても、従来のように天板のスライド方向と固定方向とが直交する場合と比べると、ネジ部材11Bに作用する剪断力は小さいものといえるので、ネジ部材11B等の損傷防止も図ることができる。

以上のようにして、本実施形態の天板付家具1は、支持体2に平面視L字形をなす異形天板3を載せ置き、この異形天板3を支持体2に対し相対的にスライド移動させることによって、異形天板3の少なくとも2箇所を支持体2の対応部位に、その間に介在させたスライド係合機構5を介して同時に接続するものであり、異形天板3をスライド終端位置Qにおいて支持体2を構成する袖構造体4にその正面側から固定するようにしている。このため、袖構造体4を含む支持体2を所定のレイアウトで予め配置した後に異形天板3を設置する際に、従来のように天板の下方に潜り込んだり引出し4E1,4E2,4E3を開けて手を差し込むといった不自由な姿勢で異形天板3の取付作業を行う必要がなく、異形天板3の取り付け作業の効率化を図ることができる。特に本実施形態のような大型の異形天板3を用いる場合にはこの効果は極めて顕著であり、例えば複数の天板付家具1同士または天板付家具1の側縁部に沿って他の家具を配置する場合などには、支持体の側方から天板をネジ止めする従来の方法であれば複数のこれら家具の配置後に天板を支持体に固定することができなかったが、本実施形態によると家具類のレイアウト後においても異形天板3の固定が可能となるという、極めて優れた作業効率が得られることとなる。

具体的には支持体に形成した上向突部である天板取付部材5Aの前壁5A4に対して天板に形成した下向突部である被固定部材11の垂下片11Aが当接する位置をスライド終端位置Qとしており、その位置でこれら前壁5A4と垂下片11Aとをネジ部材11Bで固定するようにしているので、天板取付部材5Aという異形天板3の支持構造を有効に利用した当該異形天板3の固定が可能となり、部品点数の削減を図ることができ、また異形天板3の取付操作も簡便である。

特に、被固定部材11は、枠体状をなす天板取付部材5A内を異形天板3のスライド移動に伴って移動するため、異形天板3のスライド移動にブレが生じにい。そのうえスライド移動自体は支持体2に設けた突出部たる段付ピン8と異形天板3に設けた係合孔たるダルマ孔5B4との関係によって適切にガイドされるため、異形天板3のスライド移動を極めてスムーズに行うことができる。

また、本実施形態で用いた天板は、平面視L字形をなす異形天板3であるので、このような比較的大型であり形状も通常の矩形天板とは異なっていることによる天板取付作業の困難さも、上述した本実施形態の構成によって解消することができ、さらに支持体2のうち端部支持体として袖構造体4を採用していることから、異形天板3の安定した設置及びスライド移動が実現される。

また、異形天板3を支持体2に載せ置く際に、この異形天板3の反使用縁3bを背面パネル9に、具体的には反使用縁3bを構成する2辺3b1,3b2及びコーナー部を背面パネル9の前面9Bとコーナーボックス10とに当接させることで、異形天板3がスライド始端位置Pに位置付けられるように構成したので、無目標に異形天板3の置き場を探ることなく、目視と段付ピン8がダルマ孔5B4の挿脱口5B41に入り込む操作感とによって、異形天板3の載置を始めとする取付作業を簡便に行うことができる。また、フレーム部材7はネジ止め等により袖構造体4とコーナー脚6との間を連結しているため、異形天板3を載せ置く前には2本のフレーム部材7同士がちょうど90°をなしているとは限らないが、異形天板3を支持体2に載せ置いた際に反使用縁3bを背面パネル9に突き当てることで、フレーム部材7同士の連結の歪みを容易に矯正することができる。
