【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、車体に搭載され内部空間が荷室となる物品収納箱の外側面が空隙を存してボディパネルで覆われる自動二輪車における荷室照明装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
上記自動二輪車の荷室内を照明するための照明器具を物品収納箱に装着したものは、例えば特開平10−194177号公報に記載されるように従来公知である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記従来構造では、照明器具のレンズ体と、ランプを収納保持するランプケースとが別々に構成されており、それだけコストが嵩む要因となっており、またランプケースにスイッチを付設した場合にはそれだけ照明器具が大型化する要因となってしまう。

そこでレンズ体にランプやスイッチを直接組み込み上記ランプケースを省略することが考えられるが、その場合には、ランプケースの省略に伴いレンズ体背面側の光がボディパネルと物品収納箱との間の空隙を通して外部に漏れ出る恐れがあり、またランプに対する防水上も好ましいことではない。

本発明は、上記の事情に鑑み提案されたもので、従来の上記問題を簡単な構造で解決できる、自動二輪車における荷室照明装置を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記目的を達成するために、請求項1の発明は、車体に搭載され内部空間が荷室となる物品収納箱の外側面空隙を存してボディパネルで覆い、レンズ体背面にランプが剥き出しで組み込まれた照明ユニットを前記物品収納箱の周壁の貫通孔に装着して、該ユニットのレンズ体表面を前記荷室に直接臨ませると共に該ユニットの前記ランプを前記空隙内に直接臨ませ、前記ランプの光が前記空隙を通して外部に漏れ出るのを防止するための遮光手段を、前記物品収納箱外側面とボディパネル内側面との間に設けてなる自動二輪車における荷室照明装置であって、前記遮光手段は、前記物品収納箱の外側面に一体に突設されて前記ランプを全周に亘り取り囲む囲い壁と、前記ボディパネルの内側面に固定されて前記囲い壁の先端部を食い込ませるスポンジ材又は弾性材とで構成されることを特徴とし、また請求項2の発明は、車体に搭載され内部空間が荷室となる物品収納箱の外側面を空隙を存してボディパネルで覆い、レンズ体背面にランプが剥き出しで組み込まれた照明ユニットを前記物品収納箱の周壁の貫通孔に装着して、該ユニットのレンズ体表面を前記荷室に直接臨ませると共に該ユニットの前記ランプを前記空隙内に直接臨ませ、前記ランプの光が前記空隙を通して外部に漏れ出るのを防止するための遮光手段を、前記物品収納箱外側面とボディパネル内側面との間に設けてなる自動二輪車における荷室照明装置であって、前記遮光手段は、前記物品収納箱の外側面に一体に突設されて前記ランプを全周に亘り取り囲み且つ先端部が前記ボディパネルの内側面に直接衝合する囲い壁により構成されることを特徴とする。

本発明の実施の形態を、添付図面に例示した本発明の実施例に基づいて以下に具体的に説明する。

先ず、第1実施例について説明すると、自動二輪車としての低床式スクーターVの後部車体Fは、ボディパネルとしてのリヤカウルRで覆われており、そのリヤカウルRの頂部には、シートSeが配設される。このシートSeは、左右一方向(図示例では右側)へ傾動できるように後部車体Fに取付部材(図示せず)を介してヒンジ連結される。

このシートSeの直下には、上面開口部が該シートSeの前記傾動で開閉される大型の物品収納箱Bが配設されており、この収納箱Bの内部空間が荷室Cとされる。この物品収納箱Bの外側面は、前記リヤカウルRに近接配置されていて、該リヤカウルRにより空隙Sを存して体裁よく覆われる。前記リヤカウルRの内面には、そのほぼ全面に亘り内装材としてのスポンジ材1が被着される。

前記物品収納箱Bは、複数の箱要素としての上部半体Bu及び下部半体Bdより分割構成されており、その両半体Bu、Bd間は、ボルト或いは接着等により結合される。その上部半体Buの右側壁には、照明ユニット取付用の貫通孔2がほぼ方形状に形成されており、この貫通孔2に、レンズ体3背面にランプ4が剥き出しの状態で組み込まれた照明ユニットUが着脱可能に嵌着される。

この照明ユニットUは、前記上部半体Buの貫通孔2に荷室C側より嵌装されて該貫通孔2を塞ぐ透光材料製のレンズ体3と、このレンズ体3の背面側に固定される導電材料製のソケット部5と、このソケット部5に保持されるランプ4と、レンズ体3の背面側に固定されソケット部5に接続されるスイッチ部6とを備える。前記レンズ体3の背面には、前記貫通孔2に嵌合させる取付筒部3aが一体に突設されており、この取付筒部3aの外周面には、貫通孔2の開口縁に係合し得る複数の係止突起3asが該孔2の周方向に互いに間隔をおいて一体に形成される。従って、前記取付筒部3aを貫通孔2に嵌入させてレンズ体3を表面側から押し込むことにより、各係止突起3asを貫通孔2の開口縁に係止させてレンズ体3を上部半体Buに結合することができる。

前記スイッチ部6の操作ノブ6nは、レンズ体3に揺動可能にピン連結されると共に同レンズ体3の小穴3hを通してレンズ体3の表面側に突出しており、荷室C側より直接開閉操作できるようになっている。この操作ノブ6nの開閉操作によれば、該ノブ6nの内端に係合して連動する前記スイッチ部6の可動接点6saが、固定接点6sbに対し選択的に離間・接触してランプ4への通電を断・接する。

前記照明ユニットUのレンズ体3背面側にそれぞれ配設されている前記スイッチ部6の大部分、ならびにソケット部5及びランプ4の全部は、リヤカウルRと物品収納箱Bとの間の空隙Sに入り込んでいる。従って、デッドスペースである該空隙Sを照明ユニットUの取付スペースとして有効に活用できる。

物品収納箱Bの外側面には、これと対面するリヤパネルRの内側面に向かって延びる囲い壁Wが一体に突設されており、この囲い壁W及び後述するスポンジ材1又は弾性材は、本発明(請求項1)の遮光手を構成するものであって、前記空隙Sに臨む照明ユニットUの、レンズ体3背面側の全部品を全周に亘り取り囲むように四角枠状に形成される。その囲い壁Wの先端部は、リヤパネルRの傾斜した内面形状に対応して斜めにカットされた形態となっていて、リヤパネルR内側に貼り付けたスポンジ材1に食い込ませており、これにより、該囲い壁Wの遮光性を高めている。尚、上記スポンジ材1に代えて、他の弾性材(例えばゴム材等)をリヤパネルRの内側に貼り付けるようにしてもよい。また、このようなスポンジ材や他の弾性材を省略して、前記囲い壁Wの先端部をリヤパネルRの内側面に直接衝合させるようにしてもよく、この場合は、該囲い壁Wが本発明(請求項2)の遮光手段を構成する

前記囲い壁Wの前後一側には、電源に連なるリード線7を通すための小穴Waが形成され、そのリード線7の端末は、カプラ8を介して前記ソケット部5及びスイッチ部6に接続される。尚、図示例では、前記小穴Waとリード線7との間に小間隙が設けられているが、この小間隙を適宜部材で詰めて囲い壁Wの遮光性を高めるようにしてもよい。

次に前記第1実施例の作用を説明する。荷室C内を照らす照明ユニットUは、レンズ体3をベースとしており、これにスイッチ部6、ソケット部5及びランプ4が予め一纏めに組付けられて組立ユニットが構成される。そして、この照明ユニットUが単体状態の上部半体Buの貫通孔2に装着され、次いでその上部半体Buと下部半体Bdとが一体的に結合されて物品収納箱Bが組み立てられる。その物品収納箱Bは、リヤパネルR内の所定位置にセットされて後部車体Fに固定される。
