・0.15〜0.45モル/Lの五酸化物と15〜25mL/Lの48%HFを含むNb2O5水溶液;
・0.15〜0.75モル/Lの酸化セリウムおよび0.75モル/L以下の酸化ジルコニウムZrO(NO3)2・xH2Oを含む水溶液;および、
・Al(OH)3(好ましくは0.15モル/L)とAlF3・3H2O(好ましくは0.09モル/L)を含む、処理組成物の作用を調節する目的の任意の溶液。
はじめに、この処理組成物のそれぞれの構成成分の水溶液を調製した。各種水溶液の濃度を以下に示す。
48%HF 2.27mL/L
Nb2O5 0.04モル/L
ZrO(NO3)2・xH2O 0.068モル/L
Ce(NO3)3・6H2O 0.068モル/L
NH4F(結晶化)(97%) ≒11.2g/L(≒0.3モル/L)
はじめに、この処理組成物のそれぞれの構成成分の水溶液を調製した。各種水溶液の濃度を以下に示す。

Ce(NO3)3・6H2O 0.067モル/L

AZ91Dマグネシウム合金を、実施例1で得られた組成物を用いて処理した。合金AZ91Dは、9%のアルミニウムと1%の亜鉛を含むマグネシウム合金である。
処理した試験片をXPS分析にかけた。試験片の表面の上に形成されたコーティング層には、以下のものが存在していることが判った:Zr02(≒40原子%)、CeO2(≒21原子%)、MgF2(≒10原子%)、MgO(≒16原子%)、Mg(OH)2(≒8原子%)、Nb2O5およびNbOxFy(≒5原子%)。
Claims (22)
- 五酸化ニオブ、水溶性セリウム塩、およびジルコニウム塩を含む酸性水溶液によって形成されることを特徴とする、マグネシウム合金を処理するための組成物。
- フッ化水素酸をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- その組成に
・0.02〜0.05モル/Lの五酸化ニオブ;
・1〜2.5mL/Lのフッ化水素酸;
・0.1モル/L以下のジルコニウム塩;および、
・0.03〜0.1モル/Lの水溶性セリウム塩、
を含み、pHが3.2〜4の間の水溶液によって形成されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の組成物。 - 前記セリウム塩が硝酸セリウムCe(NO3)3・6H2Oであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ジルコニウム塩がZrO(NO3)2・xH2Oであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記セリウム塩/ジルコニウム塩のモル比が1に等しいことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- フッ化アンモニウムをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- Al(OH)3およびAlF3から選択される腐食調節剤をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記溶液が五酸化ニオブによって過飽和状態になっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- マグネシウム合金を処理するための、請求項1に記載の組成物を調製するためのプロセスであって、プロセスが、HFを含むNb2O5水溶液中に、前記処理組成物の他の構成成分を、攪拌しながら導入し、前記混合物を撹拌し、次いで構成成分が溶解するまで静置させることからなることを特徴とする、プロセス。

・0.15〜0.45モル/Lの五酸化物と15〜25mL/Lの48%HFを含むNb2O5水溶液;および
・0.15〜0.75モル/Lの酸化セリウムおよび0.75モル/L以下の酸化ジルコニウムZrO(NO3)2・xH2Oを含む水溶液;
次いで第2工程において、Nb、CeおよびZrの一次溶液のそれぞれをこの順で、そして97%NH 4 Fを、水の中に導入し、それによって前記処理組成物を得ることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載のプロセス。 - 前記第1工程において0.15モル/LのAl ( OH ) 3 および0.09モル/LのAlF 3 ・3H 2 Oを含んだ追加一次溶液を調製し、
前記第2工程においてニオブ、セリウムおよびジルコニウムの一次溶液を調製した後の水の中に、前記追加一次溶液を導入することを特徴とする、請求項12に記載のプロセス。 - マグネシウム合金の加工品を処理するプロセスであって、前記加工品を処理組成物中に浸漬することからなり、前記処理組成物が請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の組成物であることを特徴とする、プロセス。
- 前記マグネシウム合金の加工品に、表面を清浄化するための予備処理を施すことを特徴とする、請求項14に記載のプロセス。
- 前記処理組成物が、処理すべき加工品を浸漬している間、攪拌しながら温度を20〜30℃の間に維持されることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載のプロセス。
- 処理すべき加工品に「処理組成物中への浸漬/空気中での静置」のサイクルで、浸漬期間の時間が数秒で空気中での静置期間の時間が20〜45分であるようなサイクルの繰り返しと、それに続く焼きなましとを実施することからなる補足的な処理を施すことを特徴とする、請求項14に記載のプロセス。
- 前記焼きなましを酸素中で、75〜175℃の温度で実施することを特徴とする、請求項17に記載のプロセス。
- 請求項10に記載のプロセスによって、マグネシウム合金の加工品の表面上に得られる保護コーティングであって、
酸化ニオブ、酸化セリウム、酸化マグネシウム、および酸化ジルコニウムを含む化合物の混合物を含む、均一で密なものであることを特徴とする、コーティング。 - さらに、酸化アルミニウムを含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載のコーティング。
- さらに、フッ化マグネシウムを含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載のコーティング。
- さらに、フッ化ニオビルを含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載のコーティング。
