【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、左右の立ち上がり部を備えたハンドルバー間においてハンドルステム上に載置固定される自転車用子供同乗席に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
一般に、この種子供同乗席には、自転車の荷籠兼用とされているものがある。例えば、実公平6−50309号公報に開示されているものは、同乗席本体と、該本体の前側底面部を構成する前側底面板とからなり、該前側底面板の前端には足載せ台を固定し、前側底面板の後端部を前記本体の後側底面部前端に回動可能に枢着し、前記前側底面板と前記本体の前端部との左右中央を一本の所定長さのバンドで係止し、前記前側底面板と前記本体の対応個所にはそれぞれ係止具を設けている。そして、この子供同乗席は、自転車のハンドルバーの左右立ち上がり部により左右から挟むような形で、ハンドルステムの頂部に取り付けられ、しかも、子供を乗せる時は、同乗席の上方に子供を持ち上げている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記従来の技術では、荷物を積む関係上、同乗席本体の背もたれとなる背部壁が高くなっているので、この同乗席に子供を乗せたり降ろしたりするとき、子供を前記同乗席本体の上方まで持ち上げなければならず、面倒でかつ相当大なる労力を要するという問題がある。
本発明は、上述のような実情に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的とするところは、子供の乗せ降ろしを容易にかつ楽に行いうる自転車用子供同乗席を提供するにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明では、上記目的を達成するために、次の技術的手段を講じている。
即ち、本発明に係る自転車用子供同乗席は、ハンドルバーの左右立ち上がり部間に装着される自転車用子供同乗席において、同乗席本体の背もたれ側に、上端縁から下方中間部にかけて子供乗降用切り欠き開口部を形成し、この切り欠き開口部を閉塞部材により開閉可能にした点に特徴がある。
この場合、背もたれ側壁の一部が残っており、この部分は同乗席本体と一体であるから、強度的に十分である。なお、同乗席に子供を乗せた後、前記閉塞部材で前記切り欠き開口部を塞いでおくことができる。

そして、該同乗席に子供を乗せる場合、前記閉塞部材を操作して切り欠き開口部を開くことで、同乗席本体の背部上端縁が低くなり、この背部から子供を乗せることができる。従って、子供を持ち上げる高さが低くなり、子供を安心して乗せることができ、しかも、子供を乗せ易く疲労度を軽減できる。
また、本発明に係る自転車用子供同乗席は、前記閉塞部材の上下方向幅を切り欠き開口部を塞ぐのに必要最小限とすることができ、閉塞部材をコンパクトにして、軽量化を図ることができる。

さらに、本発明に係る子供同乗席は、前記切り欠き開口部左右両側の同乗席本体側壁に、上下方向に延びるガイド溝を左右方向貫通状に設け、前記閉塞部材の左右両側壁に装着したガイド部材を前記ガイド溝に摺動可能に嵌合し、前記閉塞部材の下部と前記本体に嵌合係止手段を設けた点に特徴がある。
この場合、前記本体側嵌合係止手段が同乗席本体背面の左右両側に後方に突出しかつ上向き開口を有する嵌合ポケットと左右の該ポケット間に形成した掛け止め部とからなり、閉塞部材の嵌合係止手段が前記嵌合ポケットに嵌入する位置決め嵌合部と前記掛け止め部に係脱自在に掛けうる係止部とからなる構成とすることができる。なお、前記ガイド部材は、前記本体側嵌合ポケットから閉塞部材の位置決め嵌合部を抜き出すことができる位置に設けるのが好ましい。

かかる構成によれば、前記切り欠き開口部を開ける場合、閉塞部材の前記係止部を後方に引っ張って前記掛け止め部から外し、そのままの状態を保持して閉塞部材を上方へ押すことで、前記嵌合ポケットから位置決め嵌合部を抜き出し、閉塞部材をその下部を後方に若干引いてから下方へ引くことにより、前記ガイド部材がガイド溝を案内として摺動し、閉塞部材が下降して切り欠き開口部が開かれる。
そして、前記切り欠き開口部を閉塞する場合、閉塞部材を押し上げ、ガイド部材がガイド溝の上端縁に当たって止まれば、閉塞部材の下部を同乗席本体の背もたれ側壁に押し当てたままで押し下げ、その位置決め嵌合部を前記本体の嵌合ポケットに嵌合させる。このとき、閉塞部材の前記係止部が後方に撓み、閉塞部材の下降限において該係止部がその復元弾力で前記掛け止め部に係止される。このように、係止されると、閉塞部材はその係止部を操作して押し上げない限り、自然に開く恐れは全くない。

さらに、本発明に係る子供同乗席は、前記閉塞部材の下部を前記本体の背もたれ側左右両側壁に枢着し、閉塞部材の上部を前記本体の背もたれ側左右両側壁に係止手段により係脱自在に掛け止めした構成とすることができる。
この場合、前記本体の左右両側壁後端上部に左右方向に貫通するピン孔を設け、閉塞部材の上端部左右両側壁に前記ピン孔に対応して、係止手段として係止ピンを左右方向に出退自在に設けて、該ピンを前記ピン孔に嵌合させることにより、閉塞部材を係止ピンを介して前記本体に係止固定するように構成することができる。

かかる構成とすることにより、構造が簡単でかつ閉塞部材の開閉操作が容易となり、コスト低下を図ることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1乃至図7は、本発明に係る自転車用特に左右に立ち上がり部を備えたハンドルバーに取り付けられる子供同乗席1の第一の実施形態を示している。
この子供同乗席1は、荷籠兼用として使用できるもので、合成樹脂で成形されており、同乗席本体2と、子供の足載せ部3aを構成する開閉自在の前部閉塞部材3と、背もたれ側上部開口部4を開閉自在に閉塞する後部閉塞部材5とで主構成されている。

なお、この同乗席1が取り付けられる自転車のハンドルは、図2に示しているように、ハンドルバー6がハンドルステム7に対してほぼ平行となる左右の立ち上がり部8を備え、その上端部を後方に曲げてグリップ9を套嵌してあり、前記ハンドルバー6の立ち上がり部8の間に挟むように、前記同乗席1が挿入されハンドルステム7上に載置されて、前記ハンドルステム7とハンドルバー6の立ち上がり部8に固定される。
前記同乗席本体2は、上方が開放された略方形状の箱形で、前側壁2aと、背もたれ側即ち後側壁2bと、左右側壁2c,2dと、底壁2eとを備えている。

前記後側壁2bは、その上端縁から下方の中間部(本実施形態では高さの約半分の位置)まで、略全幅にわたって切り欠かれた前記上部開口部4が形成され、この開口部4が子供の乗降口とされている。従って、子供乗降口の地面からの高さ即ち、前記開口部4の端縁4aが、前記開口部4の高さ分だけ低くなり、子供の乗降がさせ易くかつ楽になる。なお、後側壁2bは、その一部即ち下半分が残っているので、強度を十分に確保できる。
また、同乗席本体2の後側壁2bには、外側下部に左右両側に位置して上向き開口の嵌合ポケット10が後方突出状に設けられ、左右の両嵌合ポケット10の間に前記後部閉塞部材5の係止部嵌合凹所11が形成されると共に、該凹所11の下側端面が係止部掛け止め部12とされ、前記ポケット10と掛け止め部12により同乗席本体2側の嵌合係止手段33が構成されている。

前記同乗席本体2の前方下部には、前側壁2a、左右両側壁2c,2d及び底壁2eに跨がる子供の足出入開口13が形成されている。この足出入開口13は、前記前部閉塞部材3により開閉自在とされている。前記底壁2eには、その前端中央部に位置して矩形状の切欠部14が設けられ、この切欠部14の端縁には下方に延びる鍔15が設けられ、鍔15の左右対向面に左右方向の取付孔16が形成され、該取付孔16に前部閉塞部材3を枢着する左右方向の横軸(枢軸)17が取付けられている。

また、前記同乗席本体2の左右両側壁2c,2dは、前記足出入開口13を形成する前端縁13aが前記横軸17の軸中心を中心とする円弧面とされ、その左右両外側面に前記円弧面と平行即ち同心円上に円弧状ガイド溝18が凹設され、該ガイド溝18の上下両端に左右方向に貫通する前部閉塞部材3位置決め係止用のピン孔19,20が設けられている。
そして、前記左右両側壁2c,2dの後端部には、上下方向に延びると共に左右方向に貫通するガイド長孔21が設けられ、該長孔21の下端が後側壁2bの前記開口部4の端縁4aよりも所要長さだけ下方に位置せられている。この長孔21に、前記後部閉塞部材5の上部に装着した係止案内用のガイド部材22が回転及び移動可能に嵌装される。

さらに、前記同乗席本体2の底壁2eには、図3に示すように、前記切欠部14の後方でかつ左右方向中央部に位置して、ハンドルステム7への取付孔23が前後2箇所に設けられ、該孔23を用いてハンドルステム7の頂部に設けたねじ孔(図示省略)にビス24(図2参照)等をねじ込んで、前記同乗席本体2をハンドルステム7の頂部に着脱自在に取り付けうるようになっている。
また、前記同乗席本体2の左右両側壁2c,2dの外側面には、前後方向中央部に位置して前後二条の上下方向に延びる位置決め突部25が設けられ、前後の該位置決め突部25間に形成された凹溝26に自転車のハンドルバー6の立ち上がり部8の内側が嵌合するように、左右立ち上がり部8間に前記同乗席本体2を配置し、前記凹溝26に設けたねじ挿通孔27と立ち上がり部8に設けたねじ孔(図示省略)とを合致させ図外の取付ねじで固定するようになっている。

前記凹溝26にハンドル立ち上がり部8を嵌合させることで、前記同乗席本体2の前後方向の位置規制がなされ、立ち上がり部8間に挟持状に前記同乗席本体2を配置させることで、前記同乗席本体2の左右方向の位置規制がなされており、ビス24及び図外の取付ねじによる固定だけでなく、上述の前後方向の位置規制によって確実に前記同乗席本体2を自転車のハンドルに保持させることができる。
前記前部閉塞部材3は、上方及び後方が開放されるように、前側壁即ち子供足載せ部3aと、左右側壁3b,3cと、底壁3dとで構成されている。

前部閉塞部材3の左右両側壁3b,3cは、その略半分が前記同乗席本体2の左右側壁2c,2dの前部と重なり、前記ガイド溝18を覆っていて、閉塞状態において、前記位置決め係止用ピン孔19に対応する位置に係止ピン装着孔28が設けられ、該孔28に係止ピン29が左右方向に所要量移動可能にかつ、図外のばね等の付勢手段により常時前記同乗席本体2内方に付勢するように装着されている。即ち、係止ピン29の左右方向移動量は、前記同乗席本体2の円弧状ガイド溝18から前記係止用ピン孔19,20に嵌まって係止状態とし得ると共に、該ピン孔19,20から抜き出してガイド溝18に嵌め入れることができる寸法とされている。

また、前記部閉塞部材3の底壁3dは、その後端中央部に位置して、前記同乗席本体2の切欠部14に隙間をもって嵌まる矩形状の突出部30が形成され、該突出部30の後端部には左右方向全幅にわたって下方に膨出する取付部31が設けられ、この取付部31には左右方向に貫通する軸孔32が設けられており、該軸孔32に前記横軸17が挿通されて、部閉塞部材3が前記同乗席本体2に対して上下方向に回動可能となっている。
なお、前部閉塞部材3は、図4に示すように、全開状態において係止ピン29が前記ピン孔20に嵌入し、その前側壁3aが子供の足載せ部として適正な傾斜になるようにしてある。

前記後部閉塞部材5は、図5に示しているように、背もたれの一部となる背面壁5aと、前記同乗席本体2の左右側壁2c,2dの後部外側に重なる左右側壁5b,5cを備え、背面壁5aの下部に前記同乗席本体2への嵌合係止手段33が設けられており、左右側壁5b,5cの上部に前記同乗席本体2のガイド長孔21に嵌合するガイド部材22が装着されている。
前記嵌合係止手段33は、図5乃至図7にも示しているように、前記背面壁5aの下部に設けた左右の位置決め嵌合部34と、該位置決め嵌合部34の間に設けた係止部35とにより構成されている。前記位置決め嵌合部34は、同乗席本体2の嵌合ポケット10に出退自在に嵌合する大きさで、前記背面壁5aの外面より嵌合ポケット10の肉厚分だけ内側即ち前方に入った外壁34aと、この外壁34aの下端から内側に突出する下壁34bと、外壁34aと下壁34bを繋ぐ3本のリブ34cとで形成されており、射出成形時における引けによる欠陥を防止し、品質の確保を図っている(図6参照)。

前記係止部35は、図4乃至図7等からも明らかなように、前記同乗席本体2の掛け止め部12に引っ掛け得る係止片35aを備えたフック状を呈し、前記掛け止め部12に対して係脱可能なように前後方向への可撓性が付与されている。なお、前記係止片35aの下側は傾斜面35bとされ、係止操作時に位置決め嵌合部34を前記嵌合ポケット10に挿入する際、傾斜面35bが前記同乗席本体2の係止部嵌合凹所11に当たって係止部35が後方に若干撓ませられ、嵌合ポケット10に位置決め嵌合部34が嵌合し終わると同時に、前記係止片35aが嵌合凹所11の下端から離れて、係止部35がその弾力(復元力)で前方に復元し、前記同乗席本体2の掛け止め部12に係止片35aが自動的に係止されるようになっている。

前記後部閉塞部材5の左右両側壁5b,5c上部には、前記長孔21に対応する位置でかつ、該後部閉塞部材5を上昇させて前記位置決め嵌合部34の下端が、嵌合ポケット10から完全に抜け出した状態において、長孔21の上端部に対向する位置にガイド部材22の取付孔36が左右方向貫通状に設けられている。
ガイド部材22は、図5に示されているように、前記取付孔36に回転可能に嵌合されかつ、前記ガイド長孔21に回転及び摺動可能に嵌合される鍔付ガイドローラ37と、ビスからなるローラ軸38と、ワッシャー39及びナット40とにより構成されている。

なお、前記長孔21の下端は、前記後部閉塞部材5が前記開口部4を全開とした時即ち、前記ガイド部材22の下降限において、後部閉塞部材5の上端縁を図4、図7(C)に示すように開口部4の開口端縁4aと面一か又は若干下方に位置させることができる程度に、下方に延びている。
上記実施形態において、子供同乗席1は、図2に示しているように、自転車のハンドル特にU字状に湾曲されて左右に立ち上がり部8を備えたハンドルバー6に取り付けられる。そして、図1乃至図3は、前・後部閉塞部材3,5を閉じて自転車用荷籠として使用する状態を示している。この状態では、前部閉塞部材3の上方後部が係止ピン29により係止されているので、このピン29を操作しない限り前部閉塞部材3は開かないし、また、後部閉塞部材5は、その下部が嵌合係止手段33により、前記同乗席本体2の嵌合係止手段33に係止されると共に、その上部がガイド部材22により、前記同乗席本体2の長孔21に嵌入係合されているから、後方に倒れたり下方に落ちることもなく、荷籠としての機能を発揮する。

図1乃至図3に示す状態から図4に示す子供同乗席1本来の使用状態にする場合、まず、左右の前記係止ピン29をそれぞれ外方に引っ張って前記ピン孔19から脱出させると共に、該ピン29を前方下方へ押すことで、前部閉塞部材3が横軸17を中心として下方に回動し、前記ピン29がガイド溝18の下端に達すると、図外の付勢手段により位置決め係止用ピン孔20に嵌入係合して、図4に示すように、前部閉塞部材3が傾倒状態となる。即ち、前部閉塞部材3の前側壁3a(足載せ部)の内面上に子供が足を載せうる状態となる。

図4に示す状態では、前記係止ピン29がピン孔20に嵌入係合しているので、前部閉塞部材3が下方へ自然に倒れる恐れはなく、また、上方に動くこともなく、安定良く保持され、子供を乗せる時、子供の足をスムーズに足載せ部である側壁3a内面に載せることができる。
他方、後部閉塞部材5を開くときは、図7(a)に示すように、その係止部35を図中矢印イで示す後方に引っ張って前記同乗席本体2の掛け止め部12から係止片35aを外し、そのままの状態で後部閉塞部材5を図中矢印ロで示す上方に押して、図7(b)に示すように、嵌合ポケット10から位置決め嵌合部34を脱出させた後、前記ガイド部材22を中心として後部閉塞部材5の下部側を後方に若干回動し、図中矢印ロで示す下方に引き下げることで、図4,図7(c)に示す全開状態とすることができる。

このようにして、前記開口部4が全開状態になると、この開口部4から子供を同乗席本体2内に乗せることで、子供を持ち上げる高さが開口部4の高さ分だけ低くなるため、子供を容易にかつ安楽に乗せることができる。
そして、子供を乗せた後は、前記後部閉塞部材5を開いたままでもよいが、該部材5を押し上げて上限に達したところで(図7(b)参照)、前記部材5の下部を前方へ押した状態のままで、さらに下方に押し下げることにより、位置決め嵌合部34が前記嵌合ポケット10に嵌合すると共に、係止部35の係止片35aが掛け止め部12に自動的に係止され、図1乃至図3に示す閉塞状態にすることができる。このようにすると、後部閉塞部材5を背もたれとして使用できる。

なお、子供を同乗席1から降ろすときは、後部閉塞部材5を前述のようにして開き、前記開口部4を全開状態にすればよい。
また、子供を同乗席1に乗せないときは、前部閉塞部材3の係止ピン29をそれぞれ外方に引いて前記ピン孔20から脱出させ、該前部閉塞部材3を押し上げて上限に位置させると、前記係止ピン29が図外の付勢手段により上部のピン孔19に嵌入係合して、図1乃至図3に示す閉塞状態となり、前述のように自転車用荷籠として使用可能となる。

図8は子供同乗席1の比較例の要部を示し、第一実施形態と異なるところは、同乗席本体2はその前側壁2a及び左右両側壁2c,2dの前端部の全部がない大きい足出入開口13とされ、前部閉塞部材3の前側壁3aが同乗席本体2の前壁を兼ねている点、後部閉塞部材5の前記同乗席本体2への係止手段が下部の枢着部材41と上部の係止ピン42とにより構成されている点であり、後部閉塞部材5の大きさ特に上下方向幅が前記開口部4を閉塞するのに必要最小限の寸法とされている。

なお、前部閉塞部材3の上端部と同乗席本体2上部との係止固定は、該部材3に設けたピン孔(図示省略)に係止ピン29を嵌脱することにより行い、その全開位置保持を前記同乗席本体2と前部閉塞部材3の間に設けたリンク機構43により行うように構成されている。
また、前記後部閉塞部材5の上部係止ピン42は、前記係止ピン29と同様に、前記同乗席本体2の左右両側壁2c,2dに設けたピン孔(図示省略)に嵌脱可能に装着されており、図外の付勢手段により常時対向内方に付勢されている。

このように、比較例では、構造が非常に簡単になるが、第一実施形態と同等の効果を期待することができる。なお、第一実施形態と共通する構成については、図1乃至図3と同じ符号を付し、重複説明を省略する。
比較例によれば、上述のように、構造を簡単にして成形金型構造も簡単にできるので、後部閉塞部材5を必要最小限としているので、軽量化及びコスト低下を図ることができる。なお、前記後部閉塞部材5にも、前部閉塞部材3と同様にリンク機構を設けて、全開位置保持をするように構成できる。

本発明の上記実施形態では、同乗席本体2及び前・後部閉塞部材3,5を板状としているが、これを網又は格子或いは多孔板状とすることができ、さらに、合成樹脂製に限らず金属製とすることができ、また、前・後部閉塞部材3,5を左右側壁のない構造とすることができる。
本発明は、上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば、同乗席本体2の前部に子供用ハンドルを設けることができ、前記前・後部閉塞部材3,5の前記同乗席本体2への取付手段及び係止並びに全開姿勢保持手段等を適宜設計変更かのうである。

【発明の効果】
以上詳述したとおり、本発明によれば、同乗席本体の背もたれ側に子供乗降用切り欠き開口部を形成し、該開口部を閉塞部材により開閉可能しているので、子供の乗せ降ろしに際しては閉塞部材を開くことで、子供を容易にかつ楽にしかも安全に乗せ降ろしすることができ、荷籠としての機能も確保できる。また、前記同乗席本体の背もたれ側は、その一部を残してあるので、十分な強度を確保することができる。
