Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rear structure in a vehicle, and more particularly to a structure of a rear cross member.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As illustrated in FIG. 4, the rear portion of the conventional rear engine vehicle includes an engine 2 and a muffler 3 mounted between rear side members 1 that extend in the vehicle front-rear direction on both sides of the vehicle body. The exhaust pipe 4 extends rearward, rear suspension parts such as a coil spring 5 and a shock absorber 6 are attached to each rear side member 1, and a rear end cross member that connects the rear ends of the rear side members 1 in the vehicle width direction. 7, the end of the lateral rod 9 is attached via a relatively large bracket 8.
[0003]
In this case, it is necessary to ensure sufficient cooling performance for the engine 2 and the muffler 3 to prevent heat damage to the vehicle body side, but each rear side member 1 and the rear end cross member 7 has many suspension parts. In addition to the strength and rigidity of the vehicle body against the input from the suspension, it is necessary to sufficiently ensure the strength against the rear collision of the vehicle.
[0004]
Therefore, in order to improve the flow of cooling air to the engine 1 or the like, some suspension parts are easily omitted or rearranged, the cross section of each part of the vehicle body is reduced, or the vehicle body parts are used for ventilation. Such a means of providing a notch is not desirable because it causes a decrease in the strength and rigidity of the vehicle body, and thus there is a problem that it is not always easy to ensure sufficient cooling performance for the engine 1 and the like.
[0005]
In addition, the patent applicant does not know an appropriate document known invention related to the present invention at the time of patent application.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention is intended to improve the cooling performance of the rear part of the vehicle by cooling air while ensuring the strength and rigidity of the rear part of the vehicle.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For this reason, in the rear engine structure according to the present invention, in the rear engine vehicle, the rear end members extending in the vehicle front-rear direction on both sides of the vehicle body are connected to the rear end cross member having a closed cross section in the vehicle width direction. The rear end cross member is formed with a hole extending in the vehicle width direction and penetrating in the vehicle front-rear direction at least between the two rear side members , and the closed cross-sectional shape is an annular shape surrounding the hole .
[0008]
That is, in the rear engine vehicle, a relatively large rear end cross member for connecting the rear ends of the rear side member in the vehicle width direction Ri Do a closed section, and the closed section is formed in the rear end cross member because he has Tsu Do a ring shape surrounding the through holes in the vehicle longitudinal direction, the strength of the rear end cross member, the rigidity can be sufficiently ensured, also, the vehicle longitudinal direction extends in the vehicle width direction between both rear side members By forming the hole that penetrates the rear end cross member in the rear end cross member, the flow of the cooling air to the rear of the vehicle body can always be made good.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the following, each embodiment of the present invention will be described by assigning the same reference numerals to the equivalent parts of the conventional apparatus and the equivalent parts of each embodiment.
[0010]
1 and 2, the engine 2 and the muffler 3 of the rear engine vehicle are mounted between the rear side members 1 that extend in the vehicle front-rear direction on both sides of the vehicle body, and a coil spring 5 and a shock are attached to each rear side member 1. Rear suspension parts such as an absorber 6 are attached, and a rear end cross member 7 for connecting the rear ends of both rear side members 1 in the vehicle width direction is provided.
[0011]
The rear end cross member 7 has a substantially closed cross-sectional structure in which the entire peripheral edges of the inner 10 and the outer 11 are welded, and the flange 10 ′ of the inner 10 is welded to the lower surface of each rear side member 1. A flange 1 ′ of each rear side member 1 is welded to the inner surface of the outer 11.
[0012]
The rear end cross member 7 extends relatively large downward substantially over the entire vehicle width, and is formed with a relatively large hole 12 that extends in the vehicle width direction and penetrates in the vehicle front-rear direction between the rear side members 1. The pipe 4 extends from the muffler 3 under the rear end cross member 7 to the rear of the vehicle, while the other end of the lateral rod 9 whose one end is connected to the rear suspension part is directly connected to the lower end of the rear end cross member 7. ing. Reference numeral 13 denotes a rear floor pan.
[0013]
That is, the rear end cross member 7 having a substantially closed cross-sectional shape is relatively large, and at the same time, a hole 12 is formed in the central portion, and the outer 11 is bent around the hole 12 to the front of the vehicle. The strength and rigidity of the cross member 7 can be easily increased and can cope with a rear-end collision of the vehicle.
[0014]
In addition, the end of the lateral rod 9 is directly connected to the lower end of the rear end cross member 7 having high strength and rigidity as described above, as compared with the case of the conventional device. The support point is the rear end cross member 7 itself, that is, the support point of the lateral rod 9 is consequently brought closer to the rear end cross member 7 than before, and the support force of the lateral rod 9 is easily and sufficiently increased. Can do.
[0015]
In addition, the relatively large hole 12 formed in the rear end cross member 7 allows the cooling air in the vicinity of the engine 2 and the muffler 3 to flow out to the rear of the vehicle, so that the cooling performance can be easily improved. In addition, there is a great feature that can prevent heat damage to the vehicle body side, and there is an advantage that problems such as reduction or suspension of suspension parts can be easily solved to ensure the cooling performance.
[0016]
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, two holes 12 are formed in the rear end cross member 7 so that the entire area of the holes 12 through which cooling air flows out to the rear of the vehicle is substantially expanded, so that the engine 2 and the like On the other hand, the supporting force of the lateral rod 9 by the rear end cross member 7 is made substantially equal to that in the above embodiment.
[0017]
【The invention's effect】
In the vehicle rear portion structure according to the present invention, a relatively large rear end cross member is Ri closed section der, and a vehicle longitudinal direction of the through hole which the closed section is formed in the rear end cross member because it the ring shape surrounding the strength of the rear end cross member, the rigidity can be sufficiently ensured, also, the holes penetrating in the vehicle longitudinal direction extends in the vehicle width direction is formed in the rear end cross member As a result, the flow of the cooling air to the rear of the vehicle body can always be made favorable, so that the cooling performance of a heat source such as an engine disposed at the rear of the vehicle can be easily enhanced.
