本発明は上記従来の問題点に鑑み案出したものであって、光ファイバー等を用いる必要がなく、また大掛かりな装置を必要とせず、良好に演出効果のある光を浴槽の水中内に照射できる演出照明装置を提供せんことを目的とし、その要旨は、浴槽の側壁面に複数の水中照明器が取り付けられ、各水中照明器内には複数の色の異なるLEDが内装され、各LEDの発光パルス幅を調節することにより各水中照明器が新たな色合いの光を作り浴槽の水中内に照射できるように構成するとともに、異なる水中照明器から異なる色合いの光を発光できるように構成したことである。
