Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a connector used for an indwelling catheter for epidural anesthesia.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the case of epidural anesthesia, a catheter is inserted into the epidural space from an epidural needle that has been punctured using the resistance disappearance method or the hanging drop method. A connector is connected to the rear end of the catheter, and an instrument such as a syringe is further connected to the connector to inject the drug solution into the epidural space. The drug solution is injected in a timely manner, but when the injection is not performed, the connector is fixed to the skin with tape.
[0003]
5 to 8 are related to a conventional connector 21 manufactured by Unisys Corporation, FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the connector 21, FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of the packing 27, and FIG. 7 is a view of the A member 22 as viewed from the inner end side. 8 is a view of the B member 23 as seen from the inner end side.
[0004]
The connector 21 includes an A member 22 and a B member 23. The A member 22 is made of plastic and has a substantially bullet-like shape. The A member 22 has a through-hole 24 through which the catheter 20 is inserted in the center, and a packing 27 made of an elastic material such as rubber is attached to the inside thereof. A mounting portion 26 which is a space for mounting is formed, and a thread 25 (female screw) is formed on the inner peripheral surface thereof. The distal end of the through hole 24 opens on the line end surface of the A member 22 as an

[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the conventional connector, since both the AB members have a circular outer shape on the inner end side, it is difficult to understand the tightening condition of the screwed members. That is, if the catheter is tightened too much, the catheter will be crushed and the injection of the chemical solution will be hindered. If the clamping is insufficient, the catheter will be insufficiently fixed and the catheter will fall off. In addition, even if it can be properly tightened, there is a possibility that the AB members are loosened during the treatment and the catheter may fall off, and it is difficult to find that the tightening is loose. The present invention has been made to solve these problems. That is, the problems of the present invention are as follows: (1) Do not tighten the catheter more than necessary, (2) Securely fix the catheter, (3) It is difficult to loosen both AB members, (4) Easily become clear even if it is loosened To develop a connector.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention has an A member (2) having a through hole (4) through which a catheter (20) is inserted and a chemical solution injection part (9) communicating with the through hole (4), and having threads (5, 8) screwed together. And the B member (3), the catheter insertion port of the through hole (4) and the drug solution injection part (9) are respectively in separate members A or B, and either member A or B A packing (7) having a through hole (11) through which the catheter (20) is inserted is attached to the catheter (20), and the catheter (20) is inserted into the through hole (11) of the packing (7) from the catheter insertion port of the through hole (4). Then, the A member (2) and the B member (3) are screwed together, and the packing (7) is pressed and compressed by the AB members (2, 3) to fix the catheter (20). A cartridge is connected to the drug injection part (9) to supply a drug solution to the catheter. The connector ether, the packing (7) is substantially a cylindrical small diameter cylindrical protrusion (12, 13) is protruded from the center portion of both end faces thereof, the through hole is from one of the projecting portions A catheter connector characterized by being formed through the center to the opposite protrusion .
Further, according to the present invention, in the connector described above, the outer end faces (14, 15) of the AB members (2, 3) facing each other have substantially the same non-circular shape, and the inner end faces (14, 15). An engaging portion (17) that engages with each other is provided on the upper and lower sides, and when both the AB members (2, 3) are screwed together and the outer shapes of the inner end surfaces (14, 15) of both members coincide, A catheter connector characterized in that the parts (17) engage with each other.
Furthermore, the present invention provides the above-mentioned connector, wherein when the engaging portions (17) are engaged with each other, the packing (7) is appropriately pressed and compressed to fix the catheter appropriately. Connector.
[0008]
The shape of the packing is a substantially cylindrical shape, with a cylindrical protruding part with a smaller diameter than the main body protruding from the center of both end faces, and the through hole is centered from one protruding part to the protruding part on the opposite side When the packing is pressed and compressed, the through hole contracts and the pressure for tightening the catheter is uniform over the entire length of the packing, and the catheter is not easily crushed and can be fixed securely.
[0009]
In addition, since the connector of the present invention has the above-described configuration, when the B member is screwed into the A member and the outer end surfaces of both members coincide with each other, the engaging portions engage with each other, and resistance to further screwing is obtained. As it occurs, it is difficult to loosen, and since the outer shapes of the inner end surfaces of both members are matched, it can be easily confirmed with the eyes, and even if the tightening is loosened, it is easily found. Therefore, when the engaging portions are engaged with each other, the above-described problem can be achieved if the packing is appropriately pressed and compressed to fix the catheter appropriately.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings showing examples. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the connector 1 of the embodiment, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the packing 7, FIG. 3 is a view of the B member 3 seen from the inner end side, and FIG. 4 is a view of the A member 2 seen from the inner end side. It is.
[0011]
The connector 1 includes an A member 2 and a B member 3. Both members AB are made of plastic and are formed in an elliptical shape with a flat cross section. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the outer end surfaces 14 and 15 have the same outer shape (flat elliptical shape). The A member 2 is formed by hollowing out the periphery of the hook-shaped portion 6 at the center, and a through hole 4 through which the catheter 20 is inserted is formed at the center. A thread 5 is formed on the outer periphery of the bowl-shaped portion 6. The inner end surface 14 of the A member 2 is provided with a
[0012]
The B member 3 is formed at the center so that a cylindrical tubular portion 10 protrudes from the inner end surface 15 thereof, and a thread 8 is formed on the inner peripheral surface thereof. A packing 7 is attached to the cylindrical portion 10, and a constricted portion 16 is formed on the rear side thereof. Further, the rear side is a chemical solution injection portion 9 communicating with the through hole 11 of the packing 7. A detachable cap 18 is provided at the rear end of the chemical liquid injector 9. On the inner end surface 15 of the B member 3, a
[0013]
The B member 3 is screwed into the A member 2 by screwing the screw 5 of the hook-like portion 6 and the screw 8 of the cylindrical portion 10, and as shown in FIG. When the outer shapes match, the engaging portion 17 (
[0014]
In a state where the A member 2 and the B member 3 are loosely screwed (the packing 7 is not compressed), the catheter 20 is inserted from the distal end side of the A member into the through hole 4 and further into the through hole 11 of the packing 7. . When the distal end of the catheter reaches the stenosis 16, it cannot advance further. Next, the B member is rotated with respect to the A member, and is screwed in until the shapes of the inner end faces 14 and 15 of both the AB members match and the engaging portions 17 (
[0015]
As shown in FIG. 2, the packing 7 made of an elastic body such as rubber has a cylindrical main body and cylindrical protrusions 12 and 13 having a diameter smaller than that of the main body from the center of both end faces thereof. It has a shape that protrudes by matching the cores. The protruding lengths of the protruding portions 12 and 13 are substantially the same. The through hole 11 is formed through the center from one protrusion to the opposite protrusion. The catheter is inserted from the direction of the arrow.
[0016]
When the conventional packing 27 shown in FIG. 6 is pressed and compressed, the pressure (surface pressure) at which the through-hole 32 contracts and clamps the catheter is generated in a very narrow range near both ends of the through-hole 32 and in a wide range at the center. There is almost no surface pressure. As described above, since the surface pressure distribution of the conventional packing is biased toward both ends, the catheter tends to be crushed at the end of the packing if tightened too much. The tightening force becomes small and the catheter is likely to come off, that is, it is not easy to achieve proper tightening. On the other hand, in the packing 7 according to the present invention shown in FIG. 2, the surface pressure is distributed almost uniformly in the length direction of the packing. Therefore, when the packing is pressed and compressed, an appropriate tightening range is widened and the appropriate tightening can be easily performed. Therefore, the catheter is not easily crushed and can be reliably fixed.
[0017]
The above embodiment is an example of the present invention, and matters not described in the claims can be changed as appropriate. For example, the overall shape of the connector does not need to be an oval shape, and may be any shape such as a circle or a polygon. In addition, the cross-sectional shape and the shape of the inner end face are not limited to an ellipse, but can be an oval, a quadrilateral, etc. It is suitable because it is easy to fix. The packing can be attached not only to the B member but also to the A member.
[0018]
【The invention's effect】
The connector of the present invention (1) does not tighten the catheter more than necessary, (2) can securely fix the catheter, (3) it is difficult to loosen the AB members, and (4) easily even if it is loosened. It turns out.
