Description
VL=ω・Lv・IL=2πf・Lv・IL ・・・(1)
可変インダクタンス素子であるトランス4AのインダクタンスLvを所定の値以上にすることにより、放電灯5aとトランス4AのインダクタンスLvからなる合成インピーダンスにおいてインダクタンスLvの要因が大きくなり、管電流ILはインダクタンスLvの値でほぼ決定されるため、トランス4AのインダクタンスLvはバラストコンデンサと同様の機能を果たし、複数の放電灯の並列点灯が可能となる。

Claims (6)
- 直流電源と制御回路とスイッチング素子と昇圧トランスとを備え、前記直流電源に接続された前記スイッチング素子は前記制御回路からの信号にて前記昇圧トランスの一次側を駆動して該昇圧トランスの二次側に接続した放電灯を点灯させる放電灯点灯装置であって、
前記昇圧トランスの二次側の一端は前記放電灯の一端側に接続し、他端はGNDに接続してなり、前記昇圧トランスの二次側及び前記放電灯に並列に設けたコンデンサと前記昇圧トランスの漏れインダクタンスとで直列共振回路を形成し、かつ前記放電灯の他端側に可変インダクタンス素子を接続して、該可変インダクタンス素子のインダクタンスがバラストとして機能するとともに、前記放電灯の他端側に前記可変インダクタンス素子を介して管電流検出部を設け、該管電流検出部の信号を管電流制御回路に接続し、該管電流制御回路からの出力信号を前記可変インダクタンス素子に接続して可変インダクタンス素子のインダクタンスを可変させて前記放電灯の管電流を制御することを特徴とする放電灯点灯装置。 - 前記昇圧トランスの二次側及び前記放電灯に並列に設けたコンデンサと前記昇圧トランスの漏れインダクタンスとで形成される直列共振回路と、前記放電灯の他端側に接続した前記可変インダクタンス素子と、前記管電流検出部と、前記管電流制御回路とを前記昇圧トランスの二次側に複数組具備してなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の放電灯点灯装置。
- 前記昇圧トランスの二次側巻線が複数に分割され、それぞれの二次側巻線に前記昇圧トランスの二次側及び前記放電灯に並列に設けたコンデンサと前記昇圧トランスの漏れインダクタンスとで形成される直列共振回路と、前記放電灯の他端側に接続した前記可変インダクタンス素子と、前記管電流検出部と、前記管電流制御回路とを具備してなることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の放電灯点灯装置。
- 前記管電流制御回路はオペアンプとトランジスタを具備し、前記管電流検出部からの信号と基準電圧を前記オペアンプに入力し、該オペアンプの出力を前記トランジスタのベースに接続し、該トランジスタのコレクタを前記可変インダクタンス素子に接続して可変インダクタンス素子のインダクタンスを可変させてなることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1つに記載の放電灯点灯装置。
- 前記可変インダクタンス素子がトランスを構成し、該トランスの制御巻線の両端にスナバ回路を接続してなることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1つに記載の放電灯点灯装置。
- 前記放電灯点灯装置が液晶表示装置用のバックライト装置に組み込まれてなることを特徴とする1から5のいずれか1つに記載の放電灯点灯装置。
