【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明はCATVシステムの末端に使用されるタップオフと、そのタップオフから電源を取り出して(受電して)外部に供給したり、逆にそれからCATVシステムに電源を供給したり(給電したり)することができる受給電方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
CATVシステムでは、基幹増幅器、分岐増幅器、中継増幅器、延長増幅器やその他の機器が必要とする電源を、伝送路によって伝送されるCATV信号に重畳させて伝送している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
1)伝送路を伝送されるCATV信号に電源を重畳させて伝送すると、送電容量不足から必要な電源を前記機器に給電できないことがあり、特に末端に近い延長増幅器等では必要な電源を確保することが困難なことがある。
2)個別給電しようとしても、電源を必要とする機器に電源を取り付けにくかったり、取り付けることが不可能なこともあり、個別給電が難しくなる。
3)分配系のタップオフは加入者への分配のみを目的とするものであるため、そもそもOUT端子を備えていない。従って、当該タップオフから展示会のようなイベント会場に一時的に伝送路を延長することは勿論、当該タップオフからCATV機器の動作に必要な電源を受給電することもできない。
4)分岐系のタップオフはOUT端子を備えているが、分配線の末端に接続する場合には、OUT端子を盲にしてあるため、前記分配系のタップオフと同様の問題がある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の目的は前記課題を解決することにある。本件発明者はこの目的を達成するために、CATVシステムにおいて各分配線の末端に接続されているタップオフに着目した。このタップオフAは図3に示す様に分配線を介して伝送されてくるCATV信号及びその信号に重畳された電源が入力される入力端子Bと、各加入者毎に分配されたCATV信号及び電源が出力される複数の分配端子Cを備えてなるものである。本件発明者は、このタップオフAから前記信号に重畳されて送られてくる電源を取り出すことによって前記目的を達成せんとして鋭意研究を重ね、本件発明を完成させた。以下、本件発明を具体的に説明する。

本件出願のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフは、入力端子と、複数の分配端子を備え、CATVシステムの分配線の末端に接続される末端接続用タップオフであり、前記入力端子から入力されたCATV信号及びその信号に重畳された電源を、前記分配端子から加入者の引込線に分配して出力可能なCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフにおいて、前記入力端子にチョークコイルを介して補助端子を設けて、前記入力端子から入力されたCATV信号及びその信号に重畳された電源を前記分配端子から加入者の引込線に出力でき、その電源を前記補助端子から当該タップオフの外部に出力でき、当該タップオフの外部から供給される電源を前記補助端子から前記タップオフより前段のCATV機器に逆給電可能なものである。

請求項1記載のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフ利用の受給電方法は、CATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフの入力端子をCATVシステムの分配線の末端に接続して、前記分配線を介して前記入力端子に入力されたCATV信号及びそれに重畳された電源を前記分配端子の夫々から加入者に分配して出力し、必要に応じて前記タップオフの補助端子から前記電源を取り出して前記分配線末端接続用タップオフの外部に給電し、又は前記分配線末端接続用タップオフの外部から前記補助端子に供給される電源を、その補助端子から前記分配線末端接続用タップオフより前段のCATV機器に逆給電するものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
(実施の形態1)
本発明のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフの実施形態の一例を図1に基づいて詳細に説明する。このタップオフは同図に回路構成を示す様に分配線を介して送られるCATV信号及びその信号に重畳された電源が入力される入力端子1と、各加入者毎に分配されたCATV信号及び電源を引込線に出力可能な分配端子2と、前記入力端子1にチョークコイルCを介して接続された補助端子3を備えてなるものである。この補助端子3はチョークコイルCを介して入力端子1に接続することによって、分配端子2から出力されるCATV信号に損失を与えることなく、前記入力端子1から入力されたCATV信号及び電源のうち、電源のみを受電可能(取り出し可能)であり、且つ、当該タップオフより前段の機器(例えば延長増幅器等)に電源を逆給電することも可能としてある。

(実施の形態2)
本発明のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフ利用の受給電方法の実施形態の一例を図2に基づいて説明する。本発明の受給電方法は前記図1に示す本発明のCATV用タップオフ10を各分配線11の末端に接続することによって、通常は分配線11を介して同CATV用タップオフ10の入力端子1に入力されたCATV信号及びそれに重畳された電源を、各加入者毎に分配し、同タップオフ10の夫々の分配端子2から引込線に出力し、必要に応じて前記タップオフ10の補助端子3から電源を取り出して(受電して)外部に供給したり、逆に当該補助端子3から当該CATV用タップオフ10より前段のCATV機器(例えば延長増幅器等)に電源を逆給電するものである。

【発明の効果】
本件出願のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフは入力端子にチョークコイルを介して接続された補助端子を備えてなるので、次のような効果を有する。
(1)入力端子から入力したCATV信号及び電源のうち、電源のみを取り出して、外部に給電することができる。
(2)補助端子から当該タップオフより前段のCATV機器、例えば延長増幅器等に個別に電源を逆給電することができる。
(3)各加入者に伝送されるCATV信号に影響を与えることなく電源を受給電することができる。

本件出願のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフ利用の受給電方法は、分配線の末端に本発明のCATV用タップオフを接続してなるので、次のような効果を有する。
(1)本発明のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフの入力端子から入力したCATV信号及び電源のうち、電源のみを取り出して、外部に給電することができる。
(2)本発明のCATVシステムの分配線末端接続用タップオフの補助端子から当該タップオフより前段のCATV機器、例えば延長増幅器等に個別に電源を逆給電することができる。
(3)各加入者に伝送されるCATV信号に影響を与えることなく電源を受給電することができる。
